Diversity and Inclusion at Radiant
“Diversity, or the state of being different, isn't the same as inclusion. One is a description of what is, while the other describes a style of interaction essential to effective teams and organizations.” — Bill Crawford
Diversity and inclusion are two interconnected concepts- but they are far from interchangeable. Diversity is about the representation of an entity whereas inclusion is about how well the contributions, presence, and perspectives of different groups of people are values, appreciated, and integrated into an environment.
A diverse and inclusive workplace makes everyone, regardless of who or what they do, feel equally involved and supported in all areas of the workplace. The “All” areas are important.
Keeping the above things important and in perspective, we ensure that at Radiant, the work environment is always about feeling valued and appreciated irrespective of gender, race, region, religion, sexual orientation, and belonging to any certain group.
At Radiant, two kinds of workforce are employed, namely contractual workers and permanent employees. Each type of workforce brings its individual flavor of culture to the organization and along with it, its unique challenges. Below are some of the practices we follow to maintain a healthy, diverse and inclusive environment at the organization.
During recruitment both permanent and contractual, we make utmost efforts to maintain a balance of people from diverse backgrounds. We maintain one of the best gender ratios amongst our on roll and contractual workforce in an industry which is otherwise dominated by males. With respect to geographical diversity, we boast of great diversity in out talent base, both permanent and contractual. Our talent encompasses men and women from nineteen (19) states and UT's who work with passion and perseverance at our factory. This ensures that diversity is maintained at various levels of the organization among both internal and external stakeholders and leads to fair treatment for everybody irrespective of gender or region.
To encourage Inclusion, a “Connect with MD” session is conducted every month, wherein randomly selected contractual workers and staff get a chance to interact with the Managing Director and COO of the Radiant along with the HR head and voice out their opinions on their daily work life enabling the leadership team to understand the ground realities. This ensures that the work culture of the organization is inclusive and open-ended in nature.
In addition, we conduct Net Promoter Score (NPS) based employee engagement surveys that are conducted every month wherein all employees are free to voice in their opinions and provide constructive, actionable feedback which is implemented across the organization. All feedback on employee surveys are always kept confidential while the process is completely anonymous.
Striving to follow industry leading practices related to D & I, we at Radiant endeavor to provide the best possible work environment to our adaptive, agile and savvy workforce so that they put their hearts and minds in whatever they set to achieve at the factory.

Why is manufacturing ecosystem an important part of the industry in 2023?
Today almost every industry is shifting its assets to digital platforms. The main cause behind this is because of the consumers. As the days pass by many consumers are expecting more than just a sale of the product. To meet these demands such as personalisation, the businesses in the industry are going through digitisation. Hence today, we are going to discuss what digitisation is and what is the best way for a manufacturer to enter the digitisation trend!
What is digitisation?
The conversion of any and all offline assets such as paperwork, communication, etc, to digital assets on the online platforms is known as digitisation. The major reason why many businesses do this is because they want all of their assets' data and information in one location. This helps them avoid misplacements of data, misinterpretation, easy communication, instant access and many other perks. So, is this enough?
The world of digital ecosystems
Though everything is digitalised, it is not enough! What matters here more than digitisation is the efficient use of digitisation. The best way to do this is by creating an organised system that allows the harmonic flow of communication & information. That is exactly what a digital ecosystem is. But how can this help improve the production process in manufacturing?
How does a digital ecosystem benefit the manufacturing industry?
As the world progresses so does the manufacturing industry. Today we in the manufacturing industry are partnering up with not only vendors, and sales outlets, we are also teaming up with tech support, freelance staff, and trade schools. This way we are building our own manufacturing ecosystem. To help bring all of these together, we build a manufacturing digital ecosystem. Once build and in play, it offers various benefits. Keep reading to find out! In the case of manufacturing, digital ecosystems are extremely beneficial. Every manufacturer knows that there are numerous factors that are part of the journey of fabricating a product. It includes distributors, suppliers, vendors, dealers, consultants, and various others. These entities include a diverse range of people with languages and cultures. This can sometimes cause a breakdown in communication or misinterpretation, therefore, can lead to a delay in the “time-to-market” launch of the product. Hence why we need digital ecosystems.
What are the challenges we have with digital manufacturing ecosystems?
Though the digital ecosystem is built to reduce problems and improve productivity, there are a few challenges that are a part of this system. They include:
1. Resistance towards the new changes. 2. Lack of knowledge and experience handling the system. 3. Risk of cyber threats and overlook of cyber security. 4. Lack of IT resources and management.
The industry is evolving day by day. As we progress into the Industry 5.0 era, there are a few things a manufacturing business must do to improve production efficiency and satisfy the end consumer. One such thing includes digitisation and manufacturing digital ecosystem. Even at Radiant, you can see that we do our best to stay ahead of such trends to ensure 100% customer satisfaction! To learn, more about such industry topics, visit the Radiant Appliances & Electronics website!

Top 3 ways to develop your manufacturing network strategy
A manufacturing network includes various entities that are interconnected such as functions, transactions, and operations that are part of the production process. Therefore, what goes through your manufacturing setup is what makes it efficient and bulletproof. To build such an efficient manufacturing network, there are numerous factors to keep in mind. Today, we will discuss some of these factors that can affect a manufacturing network and how to work around them to build an effective manufacturing network strategy!
How to design a strategic manufacturing network?
1. Focus on markets & product maturity When it comes to manufacturing, almost every manufacturer commits to long-term projects. So, product analysis and product market analysis are essential. The reason behind this is that, while you have agreed to fabricate a product of limited quantity, there is not much to do except produce and deliver. But when it comes to long-term product factors such as product demand, product maturity, product development, and others, they weigh in. By contradicting the traditional methods, you can incorporate these factors into your production process to formulate the ideal production network.
2. Evaluate scenarios A manufacturing network has various components, including logistics, sales, marketing, labour, transportation, etc. To improve the performance of the entire production network, you should first examine and document everything that is currently going on in the network. Based on this report, you can make changes to the processes for better results. You can also include corporate guidelines at the beginning of the manufacturing network design to establish the decision-makers and identify any hot buttons throughout the process.
3. Start segmentation & strategizing Once the evaluation is complete, the next logical step is segmentation. Based on pertinent factors, you can segregate the processes and their functions. You can use supply chain analytics and value chain analytics for the betterment of your manufacturing network strategy. These tools help you separate the procedures without compromising the quality of your production process.
In the end, what matters most is a satisfied client & happy end user. This is why there are various things to be considered before, during, and after fabricating a product. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, we at Radiant Appliances & Electronics can proudly say that we have mastered the art of manufacturing. Even though we have come quite far, we still have a lot to learn and a long way to go. Visit our website to know more about our manufacturing system and how we ensure product fabrication without compromising on quality!

What are the top 5 logistics & supply chain trends in 2023?
The only way a business can thrive is with the help of growth. There is no growth without evolution. But evolution only comes with change! Accepting these changes in our work is what many manufacturers struggle with. Today let’s take a look at what trends and changes in supply chain and logistics manufacturers should look forward to in 2023.
What are the top 5 logistics & supply chain trends in 2023?
1. Supplier diversification To understand this better, let’s take suppliers as an example. Even if you are the perfect supplier or vendor, there might come a day when the supplier may fall short. Instead of solely depending on one person to provide manufacturing essentials, you can opt for supplier diversification. In this, a manufacturer has more than just one vendor who supplies them with the essentials to create a finished good. By having a backup or an alternate you can easily avoid supply chain failure.
2. Less than truckload demand What generally happens in manufacturing is that the deliveries are only made once the trucks are full. For that reason, many small shipments will be kept on hold. To avoid delays on these products, companies have now begun than truckload strategy. This allows multiple company products (small shipments) to be placed in the truck allowing it to get full faster without any loss.
3. Supply chain as a service (SCaaS) The value chain is getting more and more sophisticated each day. Thereby completely depending on having all the supply chain services in-house is impossible. To avoid unexpected supply chain failure, what the industry today must do is outsource these services. To know more about outsourcing supply chain services, visit Radiant Electronics & Appliances today.
4. Demand forecast There are numerous tools for supply chain analysis, value chain analysis, logistics analysis, and more. That being said, what manufacturers are lacking is not the ability to utilise the data they retrieve from these analyses. Besides fixing your problems you can also predict future challenges with the help of the data through analytics. Read our blog on supply chain analytics to know more!
5. Blockchain Data security and safety, especially in the manufacturing industry, is substantial. Ergo, blockchain is your answer. By creating a blockchain of the network, it is able to create a database that restricts data manipulation. Besides this, it also offers transparency and trust at every stage of manufacturing from raw material acquisition to delivering the final product.
Trends and challenges are what keep the industry thriving. Even if you don’t follow all the above-mentioned manufacturing industry trends, what matters is knowing them. Based on this knowledge you can pick and choose what increases your manufacturing efficiency as well as fits it without compromising on quality. To get such manufacturing services with advanced technology integration, visit our Radiant Appliances & Electronics website. You can also give us a call at +91-8414 667701!

Electronics manufacturing trends to pay attention to in years to come
Despite the pandemic-induced economic slowdown, technological advancements played a significant role in the growth of the electronics manufacturing sector. Smarter manufacturing practices have been the biggest driver of this growth. We intend to explore five trendsetting developments in this article today.
Internet of Things The electronics manufacturing industry can leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) for unprecedented growth opportunities. The IoT allows electronic manufacturing units to be digitally connected while storing and processing information without external support. The IoT can improve efficiency, security, cost-effectiveness, and product innovation. Cloud computing, smaller censors, and the growth of the Internet have prompted IoT’s lead in the race of emerging technologies. With everything in place, you can have real-time data at your fingertips to make informed business decisions.
Automation While complete automation in the electronics manufacturing sector is still a distant dream, various automation technologies have made production trouble and error-free. These technological advancements in automation includes smart factories, manufacturing robots, and the smart supply chain management system. These automation systems in conjunction with IoT devices create an efficient manufacturing operation. Innovative supply chain As businesses strive for better products and spend less while doing so, the best way forward is to innovate supply chain management. This trend aims at improving the logistics to revamp the supply chain, which, in turn, can significantly reduce costs in several key areas. This allows electronics manufacturers to be more agile in their operations and thus be more open to fluctuating market demands.
Predictive maintenance Any manufacturing company’s smooth operation is entirely dependent on its types of equipment. Because if they break down the entire operation comes to a halt and so will your revenue generation. However, using AI and IoT data collection, you can accurately identify problem areas before they happen. This helps electronic manufacturers avoid downtime and plan maintenance at a convenient time. Identify a cost-effective manner to conduct repairs and include the same in your budget. A trend like predictive maintenance removes any scope of surprise downtime, thus improving the efficiency of your manufacturing operations.

Organic electronics Organic electronics has become a market rage in recent times owing to its efficiency, low cost, flexibility, lightweight, indissoluble nature, and optical transparency. Additionally, the demand for environmentally friendly production and sustainable development is growing, prompting electronic manufacturers to choose organic electronics. One of the most significant trends in electronics production is the creation of gadgets using biodegradable and recyclable materials or designing circuits with microbial components. The use of organic materials in producing electronic devices also permits the use of safer and readily accessible raw materials. As a result, it gives organizations new business opportunities, while being environmentally responsible.
The electronic manufacturing trends discussed in this article pave a path for smarter, efficient, and cost-effective practices. The use of advanced technology and materials can help you achieve this. Apart from the five trends discussed here, we'd also like to mention printed electronics, Artificial Intelligence, immersive technology, and 3D printing. These evolving technologies only point to a brighter future. For more information on the electronics manufacturing process, get in touch with the experts at Radiant Appliances & Electronics.
