I take my wallet out of my pocket and unfold it. It is empty other than a single moth that lazily flies out. The moth lands on the tap point of the card reader. There's a beat, and my payment is processed. The moth flies back into my wallet and I put it back in my pocket.

I'm sitting here carefully making miniature roses and listening to audiobooks-- this is a soothing activity. No more anxieties while I carefully make something small and tedious and listen to some novels

So, I moved a while back and have been doing stuff to rearrange my new place and make it nice. We got this chair at the thrift store and it's so very, very nice. I love this chair, the cats love this chair. Cozy reading corner has started

Today I'm making a bunch of cinnamon rolls-- and some rolls filled with chocolate frangipane.

These past few days in the house have been Decadense as I lay on my fruity little couch, watch silly movies, and bake intermittently in the nice stove my partner got for my benefit

I've been struggling a lot with myself at home lately. I've almost stopped drawing completely, feeling myself lost.

I'll get back to it sometime, but until then I've been making some 5" by 5" landscapes in between doing a lot of house renovations myself, with my own hands.

I feel like I have to think about what I like again, what I'm passionate about, and then draw for the joy of drawing again instead of worrying about judgement.
