What a Strange Pup... (But longer!)

What everyone wanted for the longest time has come! 'What a Strange Pup' but not a one-shot AU anymore! Let's all celebrate.

It's been kinda hard to find the creativity to wright anything, ever since my Laptop reset and I lost every story I had because I didn't back up my Notes App, which is where I write all my stories first.. I did make the first chapter, before my Laptop reset, I got really discouraged and didn't feel like writing anything. But I finally got to writing the chapter once again! I tried my best to remember, but it was a really long time ago! (Like last year in December or smth) But it isn't the longest chapter and I want to, already, re-write it to be longer because the one-shot is longer than the actual book-

OKIE, so while I was half asleep, I conjured up the most amazing AU (in my opinion)- Generally based off of @naffeclipse AU's or smth- BUT, where y/n Is a showtime orca (or something like that idk) and y'know Eclipse is either an orca that gets dumped into y/n's tank because loneliness or it's basically the plot of 'Free Willy'.

When someone dies, the afterlife they go to is determined by WHERE they died. Dying in Scandinavia sends the soul to Valhalla or Hel, but dying in Greece lands them in Hades, and so on. You have just died in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

'What a Strange Pup..' Is literally just Mer! Moon finding Reader and kidnapping them-

Moon was just swimming around, the sun high up in the sky as its rays beamed down onto and in the water it was bright out today not a single cloud in the sky. Moon, the nocturnal one, was out in the daytime. Which was unusual for him but Sun wasn't feeling well and well... They needed food, and Moon decided to go out. The fish out in the day were fairly easy to catch, as he held a make-shift basket made out of seaweed at his hip filled halfway with food, as he kept swimming keeping the basket closer to himself to keep the food safe.

He decided if he wanted Sun to get better faster he needed to get some more food and some natural remedies to help him. But those were found near the shore, Moon grumbled at the thought of having to go up there but bared it for his brother. As he swam closer to the shore, he kept closer to the sea floor and hid behind anything he needed to stay hidden.

As he swam he saw a land dweller, smaller though, but it seemed to be struggling, as its cheeks were puffed up, holding air as he found out that they needed it, their eyes closed tightly, and he found that they didn't like getting the water in their eyes or something, as it kept tugging it's leg up.

Seeming that that's the problem he grumbled about something, as he quickly looked around to see if any more land dwellers were around, the coast was clear, as he swam quickly near the sea floor still dragging up sand as he went, fish scattered out of the way at his presence as he got closer to the land dweller, he then rounded about the coral, and came to their side to see their foot was in fact stuck in a piece of coral, and that it was rubbing harshly against their skin.

Moon then put the basket at his side, and he quickly wrapped his arms around its waist, finding it seemed smaller than other land dwellers (don't ask how he knows that), as he then tugged, the small land dweller shot open their eyes and opened their mouth, but then closed their eyes and mouth as the salty sea water came into contact with their eyes, and water entered their lungs a bit.

The land dweller then instinctively wrapped their arms around Moon, not knowing who he was, and held onto him, Moon kept tugging and eventually got the small land dweller free from its entrapment, he then pushed it up to the surface as a few bubbles of air escaped it's mouth.

Moon watched the small land dweller flap their arms, as he lay closer to the ground to avoid their kicking flippers, he didn't actually know what to call them, as he watched them cough and breathe heavily. Watching their chest go up and down heavily, he looked up at the surface, but then quickly got confused, as he surfaced a bit so that only his eyes were visible above the surface he squinted as the actual sun hit his sensitive eyes.

He looked to the sandy land and saw no other land dwellers evident he then looked around the best he could and saw nothing else. No other land dwellers, he was surprised by this as he went back under the water, usually, when the land dwellers come to these parts they are always in pods.

So it's strange that this one is alone...As he looked back at the small land dweller, he saw others like them once in a blue moon when he came to the surface. They were running around on their flippers and seemed happy, but when some got too far out the bigger land dwellers called back to them. He then realized that this was a pup! Very far from its pod, so far...Or..or..Maybe they left them here? No! No! They wouldn't do that to a pup! They seemed so happy around the pups and seeing them run around, why...Why would they leave this one?!

Moon felt rage, but soon stopped as he felt the waves move slightly and looked up to see the pup struggling to swim back to land, Moon laughed softly at this as he saw it struggle, guess it didn't have water flippers.

Moon then swam back to the pup, grabbing the basket on the way as he had already found what he needed, he swam next to the pup, as he felt an urge to...Protect? Yes, yes. Pup, left all alone, nearly died would've died if Moon wasn't here! Moon let out a low growl, as the pup stopped and looked down at Moon it seemed as if it then started to flail, Moon got confused as he started to swim around the pup as it flailed and struggled to get to land as he then heard it's tiny voice cry out.

It...It was calling for other land dwellers! Moon stopped as he looked at the pup, it would give away his and his brother's home, it would get them hurt! He couldn't have that as he growled again and then bit into the pup's flippers (he bit into their calf or something) he felt the muscle tense up, and as his teeth dug deeper into the flesh, the pup started to flail more, and seemed to start crying, as Moon then tugged at the pups flipper, tugging it under water once again as blood spilled from the wound, Moon then let go, and then wrapped an arm around the pup's waist and started to swim once again, swimming back to his and Sun's den.

As it flailed helplessly against Moon, Moon got annoyed as he pulled the pup against his chest, and looked down into its eyes it stared back at him with wide eyes seemingly fighting the urge to close them as Moon grinned down at them. His eyes started to swirl a purple color contrasting to the deep red of his eyes, as it stared into his eyes, Moon started to shush the pup as it started to get weaker, he was gonna need to heal that wound, he and Sun had resources for that.

Soon the pup laid their head against Moon's chest, as their eyes closed and its mouth opened a bit letting out some air bubbles, Moon grumbled at that, poor pup needed air to survive, luckily, he and Sun had a little place in their den that was effectively an air bubble.

The blood trailed behind them, as Moon swam faster and soon ended up at his and Sun's den still holding the pup and basket close to him as he swam in, and quickly put the basket down and swam down a tunnel that went up, barely paying Sun attention at the time as he swam to the air bubble and then breached the surface effectively giving the pup some air to breathe as he placed it on the little land in their, letting it rest and take in air.

As he rushed back under the surface and to Sun, he would deal with their wound later, it wasn't fatal... As he grabbed the basket again and gave some fish to Sun, who questioned what Moon was in such a rush for before, Moon told him it was nothing.

He didn't know how to tell his brother that he had a pup of their own now and they had to take care of it..
