so like i haven't ever been able to ever really into the 'pupspace', like i can get close but not ever fully there... the closet example is edging (im very new to actually indulging in this stuff) and didn't know if you have any advice !!

okay so!! i would recommend having an item of clothing, a piece of jewelry, or a stim toy that you ONLY wear/use while trying to get into the headspace. once your brain gets used to associating an object or clothing item with a headspace it’ll help.

yk how in sfw contexts you can look at a shirt and be like “oh yeah, this is the one i wore to ___” and it can kinda mean that clothes and objects can carry memory? same thing for pupspace, trick your brain into being like “this hoodie/stim toy/bracelet is for puppy time”

you can pick literally ANYTHING, pup related or not, but if you want something pup related on a budget you can opt for a beaded bracelet, maybe one that says “puppy” on it or something or a clothing item you already own that you don’t wear too much. you CAN go all out with collars & paws & things but it’s not a necessity. all you need to enter puppyspace is yourself at the end of the day.

if you have enough privacy/alone time you can do things like barking, making little whiny noises (it should come naturally), biting things (safely), and being in positions like all fours. it’s a lot of experimentation and figuring out what makes YOU feel puppy.

if edging helps then do that!! in my pinned i have posts on more in depth puppyspace tips but my general guide is: find something to associate with the headspace & trial and error what works for you
