Nova came back as fast as she went out, hit by the super effective Ice Type move. Brett felt the tears welling in his eyes. Volt looked like he was in pain. He’d promised Papa… he rubbed his eyes and pulled out his third Pokéball, Zeus taking Nova’s place. “Ice Fang.”
The cat sparked and raced towards the Plasma Pokémon, icy casing forming over his teeth. “You’re hurting him!” Brett called out to BEN. “That’s not how Pokémon are meant to be used! That’s a move Rotoms aren’t even able to learn! How are you doing this?!”
Perhaps he was getting a bit emotional, but he didn’t care. This kid had stolen his friend, and Arceus strike him down if he didn’t do his best to get them back.
Another Pokémon, huh? This kid’s determined, I’ll tell you that. A Shinx wasn’t really all that intimidating, to be honest. Although he wasn’t expecting it to have Ice Fang...most of them don’t, but it was possible.
Either way, it would be easy to dodge. Just wait until the Shinx was close enough and...zip! The Rotom moved out of the way, quick as lightning. Sparks flew off of its small body, which continued to glitch a bit as a faint static could be heard.
And then Brett began to get emotional. Yeesh, kid, it’s one Pokémon. You’ve got others! BEN’s just messing around! Admittedly, though, it was a nice feeling to get this kind of reaction out of someone. It showed how much his mind games were impacted others. It gave him a feeling of power.
When you present anyone with that amount of power...they’re going to want more. They’ll do what it takes to remain powerful, and grow in strength over time. Even if that involves doing things that seem...unethical. Dangerous. Manipulative.
Then came the question--how was BEN doing this? You see, the answer’s simple. It’s all in the code manipulation. As someone who’s undead, forced to roam around after death for eternity, it’d be boring if he didn’t get some kind of powers to go along with it.
So, by some miracle, he was granted the power to manipulate and corrupt electronics. He was like a living computer virus, slowly destroying all of your precious data and poisoning your mind until you go insane. And it gave him a sick thrill to watch as others suffered.
He let out another small chuckle, the sound a bit glitchy and somewhat demonic. It was like one of those laughs you’d hear from a cunning villain, except...slightly more distorted. And a bit creepy.
Tumblr media
O̴h̛,͏ t̴hiş?͢ Th̛i̷s is n͡o̸t̴h̴ing̴. ̸I'm ͠b͠a̛ŕe̷l͠y ͟e̢ven̷ ̀tr͝yin͜g ͏o̕ver̡ her̷e̸, ̵k̀i̷d̵! ͞N̴oţ e͟ven br͘e҉akin͟g a ̶sw̕ea͡t̶! ̸Yoù ̛sḩo͢u̵ld̵ ̨s̛ee͟ me̴ whe̢n I ge҉t̛ angry͜. ̷Now t̷hat̡..͝.th͜a̸t͞'d ͘be̷ ͜so͞me̵t̶hiǹg̵ to͟ be a̢frai̡d ͡of.
He wasn’t wrong--small things like this didn’t require much effort. He just had to alter a small bit of code each time he wanted the Rotom to use a move. Speaking of which...
Tumblr media
B͠y ͜t͟he way̢.̛..ha҉ve̵ ̛y̶o̕u͡ e͘v́e͢r ̀śeen ͡a Rotǫm͟ ̴use ́Ear͢th͠q̷ua͏ke?͝
Uh, no. No one’s seen a Rotom use Earthquake. It doesn’t get Earthquake, and no one’s seen it do so. Because it can’t. Well, not unless you force it to. The small Pokémon seemed to glitch and distort even more, the faint static noise from before growing louder.
After the glitching died down, though, the ground began to shake. Violently. Rotom itself was levitating--and BEN could float, so he was just...floating there with this smug grin on his face.
Another glitch came from the Pokémon, and the ground continued to tremble and quake at a steadily increasing strength. It felt like an actual Earthquake you’d feel on, well...Earth. Nothing like the Pokémon move--it was much stronger, and the excess force being put onto the Rotom to cause a quake like that only seemed to be putting it in more pain.
Yet, the whole time...BEN had that same grin on his face. That stupid, smug, shit-eating grin. It was like he knew the outcome of this already--the odds were all against Brett, anyway. It was all a matter of how the rest of this played out--and whether or not the poor Rotom cracked under all the extra pressure.

cosmiicson‌:
There was something about the odd feeling that Brett got off BEN, and it made him just a bit squeamish. He needed to leave. Volt sensed his nervousness, until….
Tumblr media
“Volt?” Brett looked at his friend. His expression quickly moved to shock and horror as the Plasma Pokémon’s eyes changed from blue to red and black, and he zipped over to BEN. “Volt?! Hey! What did you do to him?”
He’s knocked back by the Shadow Ball, before he gets up, pulls out another Pokéball and sends out Nova, his expression worthy more of his father’s face. He hardly hesitated. “Nova, Dragon Rage.” Nova did pause though, looking back at Brett with confusion. “It’s to help him. Just trust me.” The boy’s mind was racing, trying to figure this kid out. How did he make Volt know a move they weren’t supposed to know yet? And turn them against their own trainer?
Brett saw Volt with BEN, glitching and sparking. It hurt. But he would fix it, he told himself. Just battle this jerkwad and get out.
Nova growled, and spat out the purple energy towards her corrupted friend.
So this kid has a Gible as well...interesting. Dragon types were always some of the more powerful ones--but they had their weaknesses. Weaknesses that BEN knew like the back of his hand.
He chuckled as the energy from the Gible shot through the air, seemingly not fazed at all by how it could very well hit either him or the Rotom. But could doesn’t mean that it would. Another fit of glitching came from the small Pokémon before it moved out of the way of the blast.
BEN himself simply floated above it, watching as the energy faded out as it collided with the ground below. Dragon Rage was one of those moves that always did the same amount of damage. It was good for early-game...but in a situation like this? Not so much.
After all, he could manipulate code. If there was any significant threat to the Rotom’s HP, he could fix it in a flash. Now...back to the issue at hand--the Gible. Not only was it a Dragon type, but it was also a Ground type as well, meaning any Electric type moves wouldn’t work.
Hm...what would be a good move to have the little Pokémon use? Thinking, thinking...a-ha! He got one! Although it was one that wasn’t even in the poor thing’s list of available moves. With code manipulation, though, anything was possible.
Tumblr media
I͟c҉e ͜B҉e͢a͞m͠.
No other words were spoken. The glitching from the small Pokémon only grew worse--it wasn’t even supposed to get Ice Beam. At all. There’s no way it should be able to use it--yet there it was.
A waft of cold, icy air began to swirl in front of the Pokémon’s face. More and more air gathered into a spherical shape, eventually condensing into a solid form. Finally, after a few seconds, the gathered icy particles were shot out as a beam, headed directly for the opposing Gible.
And this, my friends, is why you should never trust BEN in Pokémon battles. He’ll use code manipulation to cheat and do the impossible, making sure he comes out victorious each and every time. Then again, he was like that with all video games. So, really...it’s no surprise.

Yeah...that was the kind of reaction he expected from someone who wasn’t entirely sure what to believe of those old “scary stories”. But, hey, stories have to come from somewhere. It just so happened that BEN’s story was true, based on events after his death, showing how he could manipulate electronics in a variety of ways.
And it made him appear to be a terrifying monster that wouldn’t hesitate to mess with someone’s life just for fun. In fact, he was like that sometimes--he did have the mind of a teenager, after all. Besides, this kid seemed like one who’d be easy to manipulate...
But then, from the corner of his eye, he noticed a Rotom zipping on by, acting all protective over its trainer. Man...Pokémon were awesome. He remembered travelling around in some of the games...he’s the type of guy who’d battle you with a full team of shiny legendaries just to show off his hacking skills!
Good times...good times. He hadn’t seen a real, live Pokémon in a while, though, so of course it got his attention. What was a nervous kid like Brett doing with a rather cute yet shockingly strong Rotom? That thing could manipulate electronics as well!
Was...was it trying to send electric signals to disturb BEN’s own powers or something? He quickly tried accessing a random line of code, and everything worked normally. That’s when he got a fun, manipulative idea.
He’d control the kid’s Rotom with his manipulation skills. It’s not like he had anything personal against him, but...he just thought it’d be fun. Although, if he got too into the whole manipulation thing...his darker, more violent tendencies could have a chance of revealing themselves.
Which, well...it wasn’t what most people would want. Shrugging the thought off for the time being, he smirked before teleporting behind Brett, leaving 0′s and 1′s in the air for a split second before they faded out. With a snap of his fingers, the Rotom’s eyes changed--the blue pupils turned a deep red, while the rest of them became pitch black. Much like BEN’s own eyes.
Accessing the code again, he glanced over at its stats. Low level...bold nature...but quite the powerful moveset! Discharge, Confuse Ray, Light Screen, and Thunderbolt--talk about impressive for its level! Although, through manipulation and hacking, he could get the small creature to use whatever move he wanted it to.
For example...
Tumblr media
H͘ey̢, ͟Ro͟tơm̸.͜ L̷e̷t̸'s̵ sho̶w̸ thi̵s̢ ͟kid so͠m̸e re͝a̕l ͏pow͜e͜r, h̷u͟h?̵ ̴Ưse ͡Sha̢d͟o̴w̵ Ba͠l͡l.͢
The small Pokémon, not even knowing that move, seemed to spark and glitch a bit, almost as if the move’s code was entering it’s memory. After a moment, however, a dark, shadowy blob formed over its head. The blob was quickly launched towards the ground, right in front of where Brett was standing.
It quickly dissipated into a small explosion of dark mist, and you could tell BEN was having fun messing with this kid’s Pokémon. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get carried away--or he could very well end up hurting someone during this “game”.
@drxwnedincxde
From here -> ☾
Tumblr media
“O-Oh.” Brett thought that that kid was the work of simple imagination, but he supposed not. “Wow.”
Volt zipped around their trainer nervously, eventually settling around Brett’s shoulder and eyeing BEN warily.

Bendy walked into the safe house, and shut the door, Making sure to lock it.
Tumblr media
“t’ ink machine only moves when activated, and it only goes down! It works with a pully system…I think.”
Bendy couldn’t think of a simpler explanation for BEN. It just goes up and down when it’s on. Done and done!
Bendy sat down on a bed he had set up, leaning against a wall.
Tumblr media
“if ya want, you can go explore the safe house! I don’t mind.”
“just don’t go into the closet.”
Well, uh...I guess that explains the moving ink machine thing. It just...moves. With a pulley. When it’s activated. Easy. But then there was something else that caught his attention--Bendy had said not to go into the closet.
Immediately, the deep red pupils that occupied his otherwise pitch-black eyes seemed to light up for a split second--so quickly that it wasn’t even noticeable. He was so going into the closet. He just had to see what was in there!
I mean, come on. It’s the most basic rule of video games that give you wide areas to explore. You gotta look for secrets, and they could be anywhere. But if he just...went right into the closet with the ink demon sitting there...yeah, that might lead to some issues. Maybe it was time he started manipulating with the code...but only for  a moment.
Besides, it’s not like he’d be doing much! Just a little bit of secret-hunting. It’s all in good fun. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? Just gotta adjust some values here...teleport himself into the closet...and--oh.
I, uh...I think something went wrong in the code manipulation. Not only had he failed to get into the closet--the entrance to it was glitching out like crazy! That...that shouldn’t have happened. It didn’t make sense, he did all of the right coding! What...what was going on?
And worst of all...how would Bendy react to the closet literally spazzing out with a bunch of binary code being flung everywhere? Uh...um...maybe there was a way to fix it? He’d just have to edit the values back to their original states and--
ACCESS DENIED. CLOSET CODE HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH--ANY FURTHER ATTEMPTS TO CHANGE IT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. CLOSING CODING SOFTWARE...
Damn it. Stupid software...work, damn it! He tried to re-open it, but it wouldn’t work. Now BEN himself was starting to glitch out in a mix of stress and slight panic. He didn’t mean to mess things up like that...oh jeez...that’s bad...ugh, no wonder no one wants to spend time in video game worlds with him.
He always messes with the code at some point, and then things like this happen! Great, he probably just ruined whatever small friendship he had with Bendy. Another friendship...gone right out the window. What a sorry excuse for a creepypasta. Can’t even take a break properly.
...Too ashamed of himself to face the ink demon at the moment, he vanished into thin air, having teleported to a different part of the not-actually-all-that-safe...area. And by that, I mean he was sitting in a corner somewhere that wasn’t flooded with ink or anything.
Although the glitching made some noise--he’d most likely be found within a minute or two. Stupid BEN. You always have to go and ruin things, don’t you? ...That’s what his brain was telling him. His dumb teenage brain. He’s been in this afterlife for a while, and he’s sick of thinking like a teenager.
He’s sick of having mood swings, sick of feeling like everything is worse than it really is, sick of feeling confusing emotions, sick of...everything! Why couldn’t his mental age actually, y’know...age? If he was still alive, he’d be an adult by now. So why couldn’t he just act like one?
Tumblr media
S̡t̀up͠id́.̸ St̨u̶p͡i̧d, st̴u͡ṕi̕d,͠ st͠u͘pi҉d..̧.̨h͘e ͘s͘a͜id ͢nót to ͢g͘o̷ in͏ the͝ ćl͢o̴s͡et!́ ̵B͞u͞t, o҉f ͝co̸ùr̛se,͏ ̕my̧ dumb b͝r͜ain҉ ̴d͜ęc̀i̕d͠ed̡ to̸ t̶r̀y an͞y̢w̶ay,̶ a͘nd n̶ow͢ look͞ wh͠at́ hap̶p͟e͏ned!́ ̕Ugh͡. I'm ͞j͡u̢s͘t a ̶w͟re͞c̶k͠ ̶t͞o̕d̡ąy.̵
And there he goes, rambling to himself while continuing to glitch. Static noises constantly interrupted his words, making them hard to even comprehend. ...Not that Bendy heard them, anyway. I’m not sure if he’s close enough to hear anything--but he’d be looking for BEN soon, no doubt about it.

Bendy was surprised to hear BEN ask if he was alright, probably because he thought that BEN was extremely distracted. So…he attempted to play it off. It was the only thing he could do…
Tumblr media
“I’m okay. Just…had somethin on my mind.”
Bendy took another look around, and quickly grabbed BEN’s hand.
“we shouldn’t hand ‘round 'ere much longer. I don’t want ya to get chased down by Sammy.”
And with that, bendy dashed down the hall, holding BEN’s hand. Where were they headed? To Bendy’s safe house, of course!
With a few left turns, a dash down the stairs, and a right, bendy finally stopped at a door.
Tumblr media
“since t’ ink machine has been movin alot lately, I made a safehouse to stay in for a bit!”
He then opened the door, holding it open for BEN.
“come on in!”
Speaking of surprises, BEN himself seemed to be caught a bit off-guard when Bendy grabbed his hand all of a sudden. His body glitched a tiny bit in response, but quickly stopped after he started to get dragged along to...wherever the ink demon was taking him.
As he was being pulled along through hallways and a few flights of stairs, he glanced around at the quickly passing scenery. There were a bunch of posters on the walls, along with some weird writing. Why would people write on the walls of this place? Were the people here crazy or something?
I mean...not to say that only crazy people write on walls. It’s just...he hadn’t really been to many places with writing on the walls, y’know? It wasn’t really something he was used to, despite living in a big mansion with other creepypastas.
They usually kept their writings and drawings on paper, and whenever someone did write or draw on the wall, Slenderman would step in and clean it up. Trust me, that guy can’t stand it when people mess with the walls of that place.
Which is weird, considering Slenderman doesn’t have a face. Which means he shouldn’t be able to see things, or hear things, or talk...yet he does. Well, BEN didn’t know just how much he could see without eyes. Maybe he should look that up...
Google...how can Slenderman see? ...Yeah, nothing good. Just a bunch of lame articles about how the latest movie was terrible. And then there was the occasional “facts about Slenderman” article. Boring.
Alright, no more Google for now. He’d just ask Slendy himself next time he saw him. Oh, and speaking of seeing...when BEN’s focus was put back onto this world, he saw Bendy holding open a door for him. And, uh...he heard something about a safe room?
He floated into this “safe room”, looking around to see that it really didn’t have much to offer. There really wasn’t much to this studio as a whole...at least, not from what he’d seen. But then he remembered that Bendy also mentioned something about an ink machine, and how it...moved? What?
Ink machines...aren’t supposed to move. Well, any type of big machine wasn’t supposed to move. Not much, anyway. Yet there he was, talking about a moving ink machine as if that was normal. It probably was normal in this place...but still. It wasn’t normal to BEN.
Tumblr media
..͞.̶W͟hat w͢as̷ ͝t̸h͝at ͞ab҉o̡ut͘ ą m̀ov̷ińg̡ i̛nk ͘m҉a͞c̀hi͏n͢e?͢ ̶I,̸ uh͡...̛I͜ dón̸'̸t̷ thínk͢ ͟thin̶gs ļik͝e t͏ha̶t͝ a͝re͠ s͟u̡p͜p͡o̸sed t͟o͝ mǫv͢e.
He sounded slightly curious, but also a bit...skeptical. But hey, how else was he supposed to react? This whole world wasn’t really making much sense in the first place! He thought this was supposed to be one of the more popular games, and yet...he really wasn’t understanding much of anything about the game itself.
Oh well. Maybe Bendy’d explain it to him in a way he’d actually be able to understand. Instead of just...talking about moving ink machines like that’s normal. Because...it’s really not.

Bendy… just….zoned out. He wasn’t even looking at the ceiling. He just…stared blankly into nothing. Like a cutout. God…that’s…creepy…
“…”
A audio log played in his mind.
[There’s nothing wrong with dreaming. Wishing for the impossible is just human nature! That’s how I got started. Just a pencil and a dream. We all want everything without ever having to lift a finger. They say you just have to believe.
Belief can make you succeed.
Belief can make you rich.
Belief can make you powerful.
Why…with enough belief, you can even cheat death itself!
Now that…is a beautiful, and positively silly thought.]
God. ONE word is all it took for this to happen. ONE. “Dream”. Just hearing that word…haunts bendy. He sees it around the studio… everyone talks about their dreams here…but…why? What’s the point? They’ll never escape. I mean, don’t they think of Joey too? Or…are they all too far gone to remember him? …bendy wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.
His breathing slowed as even more ink dripped down his face. He attempted to stop it with his hand…but that didn’t work. Then he felt his body slowly turning it into a puddle out of stress and fear. It just…
Breathe in…
Breathe out.
Tumblr media
“keep yourself t'gether,Bendy.”
Well, that solved the puddle issue.
Luckily BEN was in his own mind during all of this…right? Right????
Yeah, he was still in his own mind. He was continuing to look through conversation topics on various webpages that came up from Google. One of them was even a topic generator! Let’s see...
If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be? That...that conversation topic actually made him think. Would...would he want to erase his death? He did enjoy being able to manipulate electronics in the afterlife, but...
...It’s complicated. He had...mixed feelings about all of this. In fact, there were some things about his afterlife that he absolutely hated. For example, when he wasn’t in some video game realm or on regular old Earth, he was living with some other creepypastas.
Now, living in a house full of potential murderers...it’s not that great. Sure, there were a few who BEN was close to. A few others, however...they’d get on his nerves. For example, Jeff loved to make fun of his fear of water. And lemme tell ya, that pissed him off to no end.
Every time he tried to get Jeff back for it, Slendy would step in and break up the fight. Slendy--er, Slenderman, I mean--was kinda like...the main adult of the entire building. Basically the parental figure. He was there to solve issues and just...do your average parenting things while living life as a creepypasta.
It’s hard to explain...again. Nothing about this afterlife sounded normal to anyone besides BEN himself. And the other creepypastas who lived with him. But, really, I’m getting off topic here. Let’s reassess the question...would he want to go back in time and erase his death?
There would be things he missed about this afterlife. And if he died in any other way, he might not have even gotten a chance to live an afterlife like this. But, then again...what would’ve happened if he hadn’t drowned that day? How would the rest of his life play out?
Thinking about it too much caused parts of his body to become all glitchy from stress alone. Bits and pieces of him started to spazz out, making a faint static-like noise and leaving 0′s and 1′s in their wake. He didn’t want to think about this anymore.
He disconnected himself from the internet, his focus being put back on the situation at hand. As some of his glitchiness faded out, he noticed how Bendy seemed stressed as well--more stressed than before, at least.
...Maybe he should just try and focus on helping out his new friend. Just...check in with him. Make sure he’s alright. And just...not worry about his own well-being. It was normal for him to glitch out when put under too much stress, it’s not like he’s never done it before. It just...it’s not a pleasant feeling.
And, besides...maybe this would finally give the two of them something to talk about, whether it was pleasant or not. It’d be something.
Tumblr media
He͢y,̷ ͢uh̸...yo҉u̡ ơk?
He didn’t even consider the possibility that Bendy might not have wanted to talk about it. It’s just how teenage minds worked. They get concerned over their friends, always wanting to make sure they were ok. It was only natural to worry.

“that actually sounds kinda cool!! Just…bein able to go to any place you want…-”
Bendy sighed, having to remind himself of this stupid studio he can’t escape from. Infact…no one can. No matter how hard they try. God…the exit is so close…you can smell the air of an unknown world just by being close to that glowing door. But you can’t go through it. If he could…bendy would’ve been outta ‘ere faster than Wally lost his keys! …or Susie lost her mind…or…never mind.
Tumblr media
“it’s…been a dream of mine.”
Sigh… Nice one bendy. Even you can’t keep your dreams to yourself. Just. Like. Your creator. Next thing you know, he’ll be ranting about being a dreamer… Killing friends and family…and using everyone just for some scheme.
Realizing this, some ink dripped down his face out of fear and nervousness.
Tumblr media
“err…jus’…jus’ ignore what I said 'bout dreams.”
“they don’t matter much…heh…”
Alright, so he hadn’t expected Bendy to believe his explanation that easily, let alone say it sounded cool. I mean, yeah...it was cool. Having access to unlimited worlds at your fingertips...being able to access the internet whenever and wherever...and being able to manipulate code? ...Yeah, in other words, he could do anything.
Although...most others couldn’t. Not without convincing themselves that they could. It’s only natural that the ink demon would want to be able to go somewhere else after a while of being stuck in his own game. Honestly, not everyone likes the game they’re from. They just want to leave, but they can’t.
...No matter how much code he manipulated, some things were just not meant to be. Trying to bring Bendy out of this world and into another...it’d cause glitches and errors that he couldn’t even imagine at the time. People aren’t meant to leave their own game universe. They aren’t supposed to know about other universes.
And yet, BEN went and blabbed about it. He put an idea into the other’s head, and of course it caused him to get upset. Upset at how he wasn’t like him. Upset at how he was confined to the same game his entire life.
...Now he felt bad. He probably shouldn’t have mentioned anything about it. But you know what happens with people with teenage brains...they say things without thinking. They don’t worry about consequences until it’s too late. And then they blame themselves for not thinking.
Wow. What a nice way to get yourself hooked into a thought spiral. If he would’ve just stopped to think about what he was saying, maybe he wouldn’t have gotten Bendy upset. They could just...talk about other things.
But no...now there was this weird tension in the room. One filled with negativity, like...nervousness. Sadness. Regret. ...He didn’t like how those emotions felt.
Tumblr media
Na̕h,͟ ҉y̕ou̧'̛r͏e..͡.͠yoų're͞ ̴fin͠e̶. ̷I prob͢ably ̴śh͜o̕u͝ld̵n͟'̕t ̷ha҉v̛e̕ ̕s̴aid̡ ̕anyt̢h̴ing̢. S̴ór̴ry ̕'̵bou̡t̸ that̷.
Nice, man. Great way to make the conversation awkward--now both of them felt bad. An awkward silence filled the room right after he finished talking. He was just...staring off into space. Looking at nothing.
In reality, he was accessing the internet right then and there. He was searching something about conversation topics...not very many of them sounded very interesting. They’d probably just come off as random questions, anyway.
That wouldn’t stop him from scrolling through them, though. Yet he was the only one with access to the internet at the time--it was basically within his own mind. Somehow. He could see it and interact with it, but...no one else could. It’s hard to explain.
Basically, as I said earlier, it just looked like he was staring off into space, distracted by absolutely nothing. Almost as if he was completely zoned out. ...Yeah, it’d be best if Bendy tried to snap him back into reality for a moment.

“I mean…I haven’t, but that does seem pretty weird. It’s nice to meetcha though!”
“I’ve nevah heard of ya anywhere before… though I nevah Really interacted with anyone out of my game besides Jevil…-”
Bendy looked at the camera, specifically…at…me….um….UMMMM…
Tumblr media
“and this teen with a thousand crushes.”
WOW. WAY TO PUT ME ON BLAST BENDY. REAL RUDE.
“but annnnyyyyways….”
Tumblr media
“what’s someone like you doin in this hellhole?”
Bendy looked back at BEN, but made sure to take a look behind them to make sure that a certain prophet wasn’t walking over. Beacuse…that wouldn’t be fun at all. Especially for bendy. He’s SO tired of being this… creature that everyone fears…or chases after.
He just wants to escape the studio, and live happily with Henry, Alice, and Boris!! Just like how they were meant to be. But NO. Stupid Drew had his “dreams”, and ruined everything with em! Way to go Mr. Belief. Look where it got you now!
Ooh, more fourth wall breaking? That sounds like fun. We gotta break all the walls here. Make connections to everything. Call out people from other blogs and also the real world. Yeah!
Because, while we’re being honest, BEN did kinda know Jevil. A little bit. ...Ok, barely. It’s mostly from what I’ve said about that crazy demon lad and all that perfect ending stuff. This creepypasta guy doesn’t even know the full story. He barely even understands what I’m talking about, if I’m being honest.
But, hey, that won’t stop him from rambling about it for a minute or two. We’ve got some fourth walls to shatter in the form of weird conversations between fictional characters. Yeah. Shit’s getting real up in here tonight.

Yeah, thanks for calling me out, BEN. I know I’m 16 and that’s how old I imagined you were when you drowned! And I know all my “blabbing” sounds crazy, but so does some of the stuff you say. So, like...I don’t wanna hear it.
Alright, alright...jokes aside. We should really get back on track here. He’s still gotta establish why he came here in the first place. Y’know, because Bendy asked about it? It’d be rude to just...not answer. He’s already said too much about how he’s literally undead.
...At least he didn’t go into the specifics. I mean, who in the entire multiverse would wanna explain how they died in detail? You’d be able to figure his whole story out if you invited him to a pool or something. He’d get uncomfortable and refuse to go. Then you’d remember he’s undead...and you’d put the pieces together.
Congratulations, you’ve figured out how BEN Drowned died! He...he drowned! It’s right in the name! Very obvious! Clearly not hidden behind encrypted coded messages! Obviously not written in invisible ink! Totally not made extremely obvious by his fear of going into any body of water in the afterlife!
...No, really. He won’t even get near tiny puddles leftover from rainstorms. That’s how unnerved he is by the whole thing now. I mean, I’d be the same way if I drowned and came back in some crazy afterlife. I already don’t go to pools much at all, but if I was in this guy’s shoes? I’d never go to a pool ever again.
Anyway. All of this is besides the point. The point is that he’s gotta explain why he’s here! And, I mean, we know why, but Bendy doesn’t. So just...chill. Let the weird undead guy explain.

Yeah, that explanation would sound unbelievable to anyone. Anyone who’s not familiar with the whole story of BEN and how he can do crazy shit with video games and electronics. I’m familiar with it, though...and some most of what’s on this blog is headcanons...so it’s fine. Completely believeable to me.

Well, bendy certainly didn’t expect a joke…but it was right down his lane of humor!
So…a chuckle slipped out, then a laugh!
Tumblr media
The ink demon laughed, slowly shrinking into a smaller version of him as he wiped ink off of his face! The laugh echoed slightly down the halls due to how…quiet the studio was.
Tumblr media
“HA! Alright- I’ll give ya that one kid!”
Tumblr media
“I wasn’t expectin somethin like that from ya. But…I did have a rough morning I guess. If ya count having a prophet chase ya around beggin for freedom from this hellhole.”
He fixed his tie, got extra ink off, and dusted himself off like some cartoon!
Tumblr media
“ ‘round 'ere it’s pretty hard to find someone that ain’t so…Inky. But yeah! I’m Bendy! The star of th’ show!”
He extended his hand for a shake, seemingly thinking to himself for a sec, glancing away. But he looked back at the newcomer quickly after.
Well, would you look at that! The lame teenage joke actually worked! I’ll admit, I didn’t think he’d be able to pull it off and get Bendy to laugh like that. But, hey, when it comes to things like these, I’ve learned to expect the unexpected.
Speaking of which...who knew that the goopy, weird ink pile could turn into a small, cute cartoon character? Wow. These newer games were pretty cool! Anything was better than sitting around and waiting for some creepy moon to destroy a town every few days.
Oh, and speaking of which...maybe all that was the reason that the ink demon’s story about a prophet chasing him didn’t seem too out of the ordinary. Not much can faze you when you’ve seen much weirder. Maybe he should tell Bendy about the whole weird moon thing...but phrase it in a casual, somewhat-comedic way.
It’d keep the conversation going, at least! This place didn’t seem so bad--he’d admittedly feel a bit of guilt if he messed with the code right away. He’d cause mischief later--for now, it was time to make friends with a sentient cartoon demon thing! Yeah!
...Man, people probably weren’t gonna believe him if he told this story to his friends. His creepypasta friends, I mean. Unless they also know about this game. Because everyone knows how BEN can jump around in anything electronic-related.
Video games, tv shows, movies, the internet itself...you name it. Anything electronic, he can travel through and access anything he wanted. Hell, he can even jump out of electronics and into the real world! But he doesn’t do that often, as it reminds him too much of when he was human. He’d much rather stay in the world of electronics.
The endless possibilities of interactions with various characters and worlds...it was way better than boring old Earth. Although he sometimes liked to mess with humans and maybe make that lame old planet be more interesting for some people. It’d make the news if it was serious enough!
Man...the last time he messed with a human like that was...what, 2010 or something? Jeez, it’s been way too long. Maybe he’d have to get back to that sooner or later after all. ...Obviously, he decided on later. Thinking about all that was getting him off track again! He only snapped out of his thoughts when he saw the other reaching his arm out for a handshake.
So, naturally, he shook the other’s hand. Nice. A proper greeting. Sorta. Even if it only happened after running into a rather monstrous version of Bendy and calming him down with a lame joke. Which reminded him...he hadn’t introduced himself properly! Might as well get that over with.

Ok, maybe he went a little overboard there. Kinda...kinda broke the 4th wall at the end there. Gaming and creepypastas. Yup. Bendy probably didn’t understand what any of that meant. But, lemme remind you, BEN has the mind of a teenager.
And teenagers say more than needed most of the time. That’s just how teenage brains work. Trust me. So, yeah, it’s to be expected that he would’ve blabbed something like that at some point. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing all depended on how the ink demon took the information.

The inky being tilted his head, and looked over.
Tumblr media
“…?”
But then his name was mentioned.
Tumblr media
“what do ya WANT.”
The being spoke, and seemingly responded to “bendy”! His voice was deep and monster like, and made a slight bubble.
“I don’t usually speak to strangers around ‘ere. Ya should get outta 'ere.”
Bendy growled. It looks like BEN will have to calm this beast down in order to chat.
Around them were a few pipes…some bendy cutouts…the usual Joey freaking drew studios things. It wasn’t anything special…for bendy, at least.
Alright, well...that answered the question of where Bendy was. The ink thing was Bendy after all! Good to know. But, yeesh, that wasn’t a nice way to greet people. I mean, BEN hadn’t exactly given the nicest greeting imaginable...but at least he wasn’t telling the other to leave.
And, of course, that teenage brain of his kicked in. There’s no way he was gonna take the next few moments seriously. In fact, he’d already failed at holding in a chuckle at the seemingly random rude comment.
Like, jeez, what’s got this sentient ink creature all riled up? Did someone spill one of the old ink containers and forget to clean it up? Oh, or maybe he was mad because people started using pencils instead of pens!
Man...now he wished he’d brought a pencil with him. That would be hilarious. But, alas, he didn’t have one. Unless...unless he messed with the game’s files to give himself one. But nah...he just got here. He didn’t wanna screw the place up just yet.
Judging by how his thought process was going, though, it probably wouldn’t be long before he altered something within this realm. Oh, and speaking of which...maybe Bendy was mad because someone recently beat the game! I mean, hey, things like that happen.
People beat video games, it’s not that hard. All that happens is that you wait for someone else to start playing...and then the code’s put back into its original starting point. It’s all the same as it was at the beginning of the game. Wait...most video game characters aren’t aware of their worlds being video games.
Sure, there were exceptions...but unless someone was programmed to know that, they probably wouldn’t. Then again, maybe another character was programmed to tell them everything! And since the other character’s code wasn’t built for that...they’d end up going crazy or something.
But that just sounds like something out of an indie computer rpg with a turn-based battle system and a lot of dialogue. Not a multi-chapter horror game like this one was supposed to be. ...Although it didn’t look much like a horror game so far.
In fact, BEN was still distracted by his own jokes that he’d been thinking of. Hey, maybe he’d lighten the mood with one of them, who knows? Everyone likes to have the mood lightened, right? Right.
Tumblr media

He was trying to hold back more laughter as he spoke--none of the words had any sense of a serious tone. He was being your average teenager, turning a situation into a joke without any reason. Teenagers do that. I should know, considering I am one.
But, honestly, none of that was going to make any sense to Bendy. In fact, it would probably make him angrier. But did BEN care? Nope. He could just manipulate the code if things got out of hand. And, yeah, that allowed him to not take things seriously sometimes.
He could basically do whatever he wanted, so...why not have some fun by making some jokes out of various situations? Yeah. It’s like a one-man comedy act in here! One where the comedian’s the only one laughing. ...In other words, not a good comedy act. But he’s trying.

starter for @whistlintoons!
How would you feel if you continued to play the same video game over and over and over again? The concept might sound fun at first, but there’s only so much a single video game can offer. Sure, some have more replay value than others--but it’s only natural to want to take breaks every now and again.
That’s why BEN had left the familiar world of Majora’s Mask. He was growing bored of it. While it did tend to bring back many nostalgic feelings, it also reminded him of his time as a human. Being in that world was bittersweet...unless he could mess with someone’s copy of the game.
And since he hadn’t really wanted to do that in a while...he felt he needed a change of pace. So, of course, he took to the internet to see what other kinds of games he might be interested in. Maybe he’d mess with someone through another game?
...Nah. He mostly just wanted a change of scenery. Maybe he’d grow attached to a different world and want to stay there for a while, who knows? But he wasn’t gonna get anywhere by being indecisive. Let’s see...what are some popular games at the moment...
He’d always liked Pokémon alongside Zelda games...but those were all so familiar. Well, except for some of the newer ones. He hadn’t found the time to check those out yet, though Sword and Shield did look pretty cool...although he couldn’t access any unreleased games. So there’s no way he’d be getting there anytime soon.
Hm...what’s another popular one...Deltarune? That would be fine, except that he’d heard rumors about some crazy things going on in some weird variation of that world. Something about a demon and a sentient flower...and some kind of “perfect ending”. Whatever that was supposed to mean...
And, to be honest, he didn’t feel like getting wrapped up in whatever that was. It’d be too chaotic for the time being! He’d have to find something else. Something that wouldn’t get him caught up in an unfinished storyline that currently sat at a solid 7 chapters. Hm...what about...oh!
Here’s one! Bendy and the Ink Machine...was that one of the newer games? He’d heard some positive things about it despite never being able to see the game for himself. Now seemed like as good of a time as ever! Within a moment, his entire body had changed into a bunch of 0′s and 1′s, transporting itself into the game.
Upon arriving in the cartoon-ish world, the 0′s and 1′s formed back into his regular Link-like appearance. Hm. This place definitely had that old cartoon atmosphere...I guess that’s what the game was going for. But where’s that Bendy guy? The one who’s name’s in the title?
...As if on cue, BEN noticed something in the corner of his eye. It looked like a bunch of ink, except...it wasn’t exactly in a puddle on the ground. It was moving. Like...moving in a way that ink shouldn’t able to move. Maybe it was sentient! ...Maybe it was Bendy!
Welp. Only one way to find out! Quickly, he hovered over to the unnatural ink thing, making sure it knew of his presence. He was rather skilled when it came to catching people off-guard with his sudden appearances.
Tumblr media
He͢y̷,͞ y̶o̡u͘!̕ I͘n̷k...̢thi̴ng. ̵D́o ̵y̨ou kn̛ow ̢wh̸ere ͢Bendy ͘i̧s?̧
His voice was weird--it didn’t sound like something you’d hear from...well, from anyone, really. It was all...somewhat distorted with a bit of an occasional echo. There was even a small glitch here in there in the way it sounded.
I guess that just goes to show what living in an afterlife like this could do to someone...
