drawings of our oc lorenzo from my sketchbook... he's a goofy college dropout who plays lead guitar in a punk band 🐶🎸

i'm trying to draw more using photo references! especially since i don't have much experience drawing musical instruments 😬 sketching with markers and ink pens (instead of pencil) has also been a challenge. but i think it's been helping with my anxiety over needing my drawings to be "perfect" 🥲👍🏼

meet our OC Dominick, who's the lead singer of a punk band called DDT. He's gay, fat, poor, and just trying his best 🎤 🐻

Like it says in the pic, Dominick follows his gut and does what he wants in the moment (for better or worse). Examples include:

Choosing Music as his major in undergrad. Like . . . Who does that?

Moving out of his parents house without a job, place to stay, or any kind of plan.

Auditioning for and then joining a punk band (without knowing anything about punk, metal, or rock in general).

He's faking it until he eventually makes it. God willing. But he's not a total and complete boy failure—here are some positives about him:

He can write a pretty good ditty. Guess that music degree is good for something, huh?

He looks great in a maid's outfit. Don't ask.

He can remember all of the lyrics to You Oughta Know.

Can ask someone "Where's the bathroom?" in Spanish.

Has no problem being brutally honest with you. He tells it how it is.

Other random things about him that we couldn't really put in the above categories:

Has a crush on fellow DDT bandmate, Lorenzo Mendoza.

Gets along with his younger brother Eddie, who's just like him . . . Except skinnier, smarter, and getting a degree in something useful.

Works at an little empanada shop in Queens.

Is actually dating his co-worker, who's a really cute guy with a mullet named Frankie.

Wait. He's got a boyfriend but is also crushing on his bandmate? We take it back—he is a boy failure. 💀
