A little while ago I was commissioned by the fabulousness that is The Stupendium to paint a portrait for their next video project - a stupendous and dramatic music video to celebrate the release of the game 'Frost Punk 2'.
For those unfamiliar, 'The Stupendium is a UK based musician, animator and content creator, creating weird, wonderful and usually incredibly nerdy songs and music videos.'
So if you love video games and love funny, quirky, poignant, dramatic and surprisingly heart wrenching music videos about video games with top tier wordsmithing... check them out!
The Stupendium YouTube Channel
They also have neat merchandise shop where you can purchase prints of the frosty version of my painting featured in the video and lots of other cool things.
The Stupendium Store
I had so much fun painting this, and I am thrilled at how epic the video turned out.
Go check it out!

Hello. Just wanted to give you a heads up that someone is selling a photo of one of your Jeremy Brett portraits. I can not link but search under his name and it show up on the first page. Take Care. Karin.
Thanks for the heads up. I can't seem to find it. Do you know what the blog name is?

For your consideration... My take on Raleigh Samson from the Dragon Age games. Oddly topical since the next Dragon Age game is coming out soon.
I do love taking tragic characters who have had all the worst luck and give them redemption and a happy ending. Which is exactly what is happening here. Look at him all smiling and recovering from Lyrium addiction after having joined the Inquisition. Boy gone done good after all.

Have you seen yonderland? Or Bill? Your amazing paintings of their wacky characters would be awesome. 😊
I have seen Bill and would love to paint some of the characters some point. I've only seen clips of Yonderland, but it looks fun. 😁

This is an AI image creation hate blog! And no I won’t argue with you! As long as there are no regulations this is plain theft! And I won’t call it art!

Last week, after work (I work night shift) I binged tbobf from start to finished. Best seven hours ever.
I just adore the series, and Temuera Morrison.

Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game
Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
(I wrote this while sick out of my mind last year and it's been collecting dust in my drafts, I might as well let it run free) 1. Art programs you have but don't use
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
3. What ideas come from when you were little
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
9. What are your file name conventions
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
12. Easiest part of body to draw
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
14. Any favorite motifs
15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what
18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken
19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways
22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any
23. Do you use different layer modes
24. Do your references include stock images
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with
28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

So I get to paint them kissing again? Yes? Yes!

I process things I love by painting them. And boy, oh boy, am I processing right now.
I love this show. I love everything about it. And I love them.

Ooooh your work is just wonderful. My late darling was an artist too, and she did tons of photorealistic work in charcoal, pastels, and pencils. She and I were Stede and Ed before David Jenkins graduated high school. Looking at your work brought her back to me for a moment, and I thank you for that, and the happy-hurt. Be well and know that you bring happiness to strangers with broken hearts.
This is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me. Thank you. ❤️

Hii! I love your paintings and was wondering if you have any process video? I'd love to watch!
Not really. There are a few progress stills slide shows on my vimeo channel. But that's about it. Happy you like my paintings. 😁

Just a tired, ex bounty hunter contemplating his life decisions in the moon light. (and me standing just off screen, two thumbs up shouting 'you're doing amazing, sweetie!')

So I finally watched the Book of Boba Fett. And let's just say that if you don't enjoy talking about Boba Fett's dusty desert pyjamas and Temuera Morrison's delightful freckles, then you're probably not going to get much meaningful conversation out of me right now. Woof. ;-)

Face four and five. Not sure what is going on here. Well, I mean, they're twins, but that's all I got. Also, I feel like listening to Mama Mia.
I’m open to head canons.
