It's alright Dalinar, babe, he got this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- image description: A loosely scribbled and coloured comic page with several panels in four rows of the scene in Words of Radiance in which Kaladin joins the duel in the arena. The background in the panels is painetd very patchily implying the seats of the arena with half roofs offering shadow from the sun above. The first row has two panels, on the left we see an agitaed Dalinar, in his blue uniform with gold and white trimmings, as he leans forward, hands on the wall of the dueling pit in front of him, calling out "What happened to us?", "Where is our honor?". A smaller speechbubble to the side contains the words "Honor is dead". The panel to the right depicts Dalinar looking to the side to see who gave that cynical commentary. Kaladin stands there not far behind him, also in captain's uniform holding his spear and looking very grim. The next row has two smaller and on medium sized panel, they all show Kaladin from the side in profile – as Dalinar would see him. He inhales like he is fortifying himself for what comes next. On the exhale he looks down into the arena with mix of resignation and determination and utters the words "But I'll see what I can do." The speechbubble for it is already in the next panel, in which Kaladin is gazing towards us with a mournful expression as he says "If this goes poorly, take care of my men."
The third and fourth row are both each one long horizontal panel. The third row shows Kaladin as he vaults himself over the wall in the foreground. Dalinar stares at him seeming very shocked. The panel in the last row is a top down view into the arena. Kaladin stands in front of six people, four of them Shardbearers in full plate all now turning towards him. On the far left is Relis in his black plate holding a big shardblade. Adolin kneels next to him in the sand of the arena holding his broken shoulder. To his right stand Elis with a shardhammer in a grey plate, then Adrobar in a orange one with a blade. Further to the right is Jakamav in his green plate and the king's blade, Renarin standing blade- and plateless next to him.

Haha that's probably the only Cosmere novel (aside from numbered sequels) I would not recommend starting from. Still a good book and you'll probably enjoy it anyway, so have fun
Just started the sunlit man by Brandon Sanderson, got a feeling I started with the wrong book because I haven’t got a clue what is going on 😂

Cosmere Characters' Presidential Slogans
Hello is anyone else REALLY stressed about the US Presidential election? Personally, I'm coping by imagining what campaign slogan various Cosmere characters would use if they were running for president. I'm sure this is healthy and fine.

"Three Heads Are Better Than One! Vote Shallan for President!"
2. Lopen
"The Lopen: A Bridge 4 The Future"
3. Vin
"I'm The Ascendant Warrior"
4. Odium
"Physically Incapable of Breaking Campaign Promises"
5. Kelsier
"Let's All Survive"
6. Telsin
"Vote Telsin or I Will Blow Up This Planet"
7. Pattern
"One Vote For Me Is One Vote For Me: That's Math Baby!"
8. Syl
"Vote for a Piece of God"
9. Vasher
"You Idiots: Don't Vote For Me"
10. Renarin
"A Countdown to Victory"
11. Rlain
"Bringing People Together"
12. Hoid
"There Will Be Sunshine Again"
13. Jasnah
"Question. Be Informed. Act."
14. Steris
"The Woman With The Plan"

To preface, I don't think the reading order matters too much, as long as you don't break it within the individual series.
If you want to go with a somewhat chronological order, I'll try to recommend one mainly based on the chronology given in the coppermind wiki
- White Sand (haven't read this and am waiting for the novel version to release, but if you want to read it now, you can get the graphic novel)
- Elantris
- The Hope of Elantris and Emperor's Soul (both take place on the same planet as Elantris and can be found in the anthology book Arcanum Unbounded)
- This is where the Mistborn trilogy would go. If you have Arcanum Unbounded, you could read the story The Eleventh Metal, which is a short prequel to The Final Empire, starring Kelsier.
- Warbreaker
- Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell (found in Arcanum Unbounded)
- The Stormlight Archive books. (The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, the novella Edgedancer, which is in Arcanum Unbounded, Oathbringer, novella Dawnshard, Rhythm of War, upcoming Wind and Truth)
- Mistborn Era 2 (The Alloy of Law, the short story Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania, Shadows of Self, The Bands of Mourning, Secret History (this is technically Era 1 and takes place simultaneously to the original Mistborn Trilogy, but I would highly recommend reading it only after BoM), The Lost Metal)
- Sixth of the Dusk (found in Arcanum Unbounded. Afterwards, you could read Isles of the Emberdark, if that's out when you're at that point, but maybe you should put that one at the end, don't know that yet)
- The Secret Projects (Tress of the Emerald Sea, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, The Sunlit Man. I just put them in release order here, there's also a non-Cosmere one I haven't included, but technically Yumi takes place after Sunlit and the Wiki didn't give any placement for Tress. It doesn't matter too much though, since they don't really have a connection between each other)
Okay. Those are all the Cosmere books. Brandon has written others, but since I haven't read any of them, except for The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England, which is part of the Secret Projects, I can't tell you much about it. Also I figure you have enough to read with the Cosmere alone. I also left out non-canon stuff like The Way of Kings Prime and Dragonsteel Prime, as well as unreleased things besides WaT and IotE, the next two upcoming ones, since that could've been confusing. I hope this is helpful.
I just finished the Mistborn trilogy and I’m trying to figure out the order in which I will read the other Brandon Sanderson books but everyone has a different opinion!!
Any suggestions? I would prefer to read them in a somewhat in-universe chronological order, but idk if that is the best way to be introduced to characters and information at the “right time” so I avoid learning something before I would find it meaningful.
