twst anime news!! (finally, lol)

The Twisted Wonderland anime is confirmed to be an adaptation of the main story!! The animation will be handled by Yumeta Company x Graphinicia and can be streamed on Disney+.

Seasons 1-3 have been greenlit. The first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, airs in October of 2025!! 🌹

Seasons 2 and 3 are dedicated to Savanaclaw and Octavinelle, respectively. No dates have been announced for those yet.

UPDATE: According to this tweet from Yana, it sounds like the anime will be an adaptation of the comics/manga adaptation.

Id assume they stem from a trend of magic between beasts and humans, since they can talk it's best to assume a lot of them maybe fell in love but were unable to reproduce because of the differences between them, so over time they developed developed magic to probably be able to create offspring without the necessity of sexual intercourse.

This magic probably lead to the development of beastmen. Leading to not many pure human/beasts being left. This probably all happened through multiple generations of beasts and humans coexisting, and I imagine the existence of beastmen and then being a majority in their land has been a longer running norm

i know it’s not explained in the game and people like to joke about humans and animals getting busy in the past… but does anyone know of any common or general lore found in fiction regarding beastmen?

im sure there’s tons of interesting literature about that goes into it, fantasy of course but i would love to learn some science-based reasoning as well.
