He slid his hands into his pockets before he just shrugged, "I survive by not wearin' winter clothes in the Mojave Desert." He narrowed his eyes curiously behind his glasses, inspecting the burns on the person's ears. "Do you just not have any other clothes, or am I missin' somethin' here?"

It makes me sick, the way sadness is addicting. The way I can’t stop. Sadness is familiar. It’s comfortable and it’s easy in a sense that it comes naturally to me. But everything else about it is hard. The way my body aches with self-hatred. The way my mind spins and spins with hopeless thoughts. The way it poisons everything I do, every relationship I have. Yet it’s addicting, because I know sadness, and I know it very well. And there’s a sort of comfort in that, like being home after a trip or sleeping in your own bed after being away. There’s just a sense that this is where I belong. This is how it’s supposed to be.

Had a pet

It depends what kind of pet we're talking about here, Alexus. Specifications matter in these kinds of questions. If we're talking human, though, maybe one. Animals are things I can't really get attached to, though. I just don't know why I can't bring myself to get an animal. Maybe it'd be easier if I had one of those robo-dogs running around the wasteland with me.
