Incense pt.3 , Blessings of Spirits.
First practical working with the Censer and I would like this to come out of the first and second sections that we did. Is that we make our own incense mix here. I will try to make it very simple and low on Ingredients. The reason I am starting with a blessing is that you want the censer to obtain blessing and virtue by blessing others.
Preparation for the Ritual is making the incense and we will work with: 1. one spoon of Sandalwood powder 2. one spoon of Brown Sugar or Arabic Gum 3. Add enough water to make a dough of the correct consistency 4. Few drops of olive oil. 5. 3 resin of frankincense and myrrh. You put all of them in a bowl and start making a "ball" and rolling all ingredient together until you get something pretty consistent and looks good to use and you let it dry some of the water covered in shrink wrap or something like that. You let it sit for 2 weeks or so and dry out. As you can see in the image below on the right it is the incense mix I made recently and on the right is the one I use after it dries out. Something you can do is put something to "help" the incense mix burn and you might need some testing and fidgeting with the stuff. It's not an easy process but at least you're not going through the route of making self-combusting incense.
The Ritual Proper
I have to emphasize that this isn’t a general offering and I don’t condone nor support the idea of “feeding spirits” randomly. That mean this whole ritual will be very specific in who you want you to give the offering or the blessing to, in the same logic of why you wouldn’t give money to random people in the street or you wouldn’t go to Facebook marketplace and say “FREE MONEY” and then put your location.
The Ritual Outline would be:
1) Prayer to God/Divine Creator. 2) Establishing “Overseers” of the offerings and boundaries. 3) Prayers to call the spirits. 4) Blessings and Thanksgiving. 5) Closure.
Part 1
You Establish some connection to divinity with the ritual and start by asking for guidance, you can of course use the Hidden Stele instead of Aphorism 14 from Arbatel here:
O Lord of heaven and earth, Creator and Maker of all things visible and invisible; I, though unworthy, by thy assistance call upon thee, through thy onely begotten Son Jesus Christ our Lord, that thou wilt give unto me thy holy Spirit, to direct me in thy truth unto all good. Amen.
Because I earnestly desire perfectly to know the Arts of this life and such things as are necessary for us, which are so overwhelmed in darkness, and polluted with infinite humane opinions, that I of my own power can attain to no knowledge in them, unless thou teach it me: Grant me therefore one of thy spirits, who may teach me those things which thou wouldest have me to know and learn, to thy praise and glory, and the profit of our neighbour. Give me also an apt and teachable heart, that I may easily understand those things which thou shalt teach me, and may hide them in my understanding, that I may bring them forth as out of thy inexhaustible treasures, to all necessary uses. And give me grace, that I may use such thy gifts humbly, with fear and trembling, through our Lord Jesus Christ, with thy holy Spirit. Amen.
Part 2
You would put a little put of the incense you made now.
Calling the cardinal Archangels, I usually recommend that people approach this as prayers. You can use format or ask a different thing from each archangel and in any case here’s a format for sake convenience:
“Oh [Archangel name] I ask for your guidance and protection in my ritual today, help me reach those who need my prayers and guide my hand toward those who benefit the most of it. Surround my work in infinite purified divine light of God that no malicious or malevolent spirit may enter and partake in this work, I beseech thee by the blood of Jesus Christ that no deceitful spirit is allowed in this chamber and this blessing is given by the Light of the World our Lord Jesus Christ. “
NOTE: I have to emphasise that the wording that no other spirit comes except those who are coming in light or benevolent. You don’t want to skip this step, you can use whatever form of invocation and with whatever else spirits you usually work but I have to repeat don’t throw the invocation just as free money on the street.
Part 3
You would put a little more of the incense you made now.
Since I am going through this ritual with an elemental focus on mind, now is the time to work with the prayer of elementals. You can use the elemental prayers and walk around the circle calling each elemental kingdom to pray with you!
Part 4
Now the Blessing of the spirit is that you would use the 🖖🖖 gesture toward each direction, where the ritual in Sepher Yetzirah is about sealing the Depths then this ritual is about Blessing the depths. You face each direction and use Numbers 6:24-26
24 ‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Each Direction you’re sending the blessings to the spirits, ancestors, angels, elementals, and so on who came to receive the blessings. East, South, West, North, East up, East Down. Then Stand there give it a bit, you don’t need to do anything right now and you can stand for a bit.
Part 5
Closure helps establish that the spirit who came on their ways and not have any lingering presence. I use Aphorism 21 from Arbatel to be honest:
Forasmuch as thou camest in peace, and quietly, and hast answered unto my petitions; I give thanks unto God, in whole Name thou camest: and now thou mayest depart in peace unto thy orders; and return to me again when I shall call thee by thy name, or by thy order, or by thy office, which is granted from the Creator. Amen.
'Those that lower their voice in the presence of God's Apostle – their hearts has God tested for piety: for them is forgiveness and a great reward.'

The Anvil Novena
(The Sigil Of TARTAROUKHOS)
There is folklore that says if an anvil were to fall into the pit, it would take nine (9) days before it reached the bottom of Tartarus. Naturally, I wanted to adapt that into a Novena working.
Novenas, for anyone unfamiliar, are nine (9) day prayers said to achieve some goal or effect. Typically, they are said in-tandem with candles lit to Saints, Angels, Mary, or the Trinity. However, there are also plenty made for specific "conditions" (love, luck, money, cursing, you name it!), as well as for non-Christian spirits, notably African and Latine spirits. They have even broken into neopagan spaces, with people creating devotional Novena Candles for their deities.
I grew up with novenas, being raised Catholic with a Mexican parent, and I still incorporate them, as I feel they are honestly a wonderful way to work with spirits. When I read about this bit of folklore, I decided to approach Hekate about it.
She gave me the following working:
Prepare a black candle made to last 9 days. Place it into [a bowl of] spring water, and cense it with chthonic herbs of your choice [(myrrh when in doubt)]. A petition may be placed in the water, written on the candle, or in any other way that you like. You must place under the bowl the sigil of TARTAROUKHOS (see above) With this sigil, it is best if it is made in some sacred fashion, and blessed by the witch. Once ready, place the bowl in an appropriate place and pray: TARTAROUKHOS TARTAROUKHOS TARTAROUKHOS O Anvil of Heaven Where ARES’ sword is forged O Anvil of Heaven Who’s steel smashes bone O Anvil of Heaven HEPHAESTUS’ sacred friend Fall, fall, fall for me Far, far, far for me Into the black pit you bear my prayer Crushing all who stand in your way Into the black pit fall O Anvil of Heaven Fall for me, fall for Hekate [Petition] AMEN Pray [this] daily for 9 days and your petition will be granted.
There was some caution going into this: Namely, be careful what you wish for, and who you are wishing to. These spirits aren't necessarily kindly or friendly to people. Being more primordial as well, they aren't very delicate in their approach. Caution is advised with this working, given its power and potential effects.
If anyone here does attempt it, please feel free to share your results here! Reblog or comment to let me know how it went!

Hekate's Money Spell
Check out the original post here!
instagram
Over on my instagram, I shared a spell I did last night to help stabilize, and maintain my money. I am going to discuss it in further detail here.
As stated before, this spell was given to me by Hekate, and I am only now preforming it. As I worked it last night, I entered into a tranced state, and communicated with Hekate.
She first told me about how to continue to work the bowl, feeding it regularly with herbs, coins, water, pomegranate juice, and a few other materials. She also told me that I could incorporate other spirits into it, though this would be a bit more tricky and difficult, though quite beneficial if done right.
Later on into the trance though, I began to sense the form of a snake coiling around the bowl. I followed it for a bit, before questioning The Queen about it. She described it as "The Money Serpent" (who also goes by many ancient names), a benevolent money spirit I could learn to work with, later on.
As I waited for the candles to burn down, I decided to do a little research into this spirit, and discovered something quite shocking: The Money Serpent is a Mexican (Totonac) spirit from mythology and folklore. And not only that; The Money Serpent may be an aspect of Quetzalcoatl, The Feathered Serpent, Our Precious Serpent Lord.
This is a spirit I have much reverence for, and was quite shocked to see show up in a seemingly unrelated place. Hekate had also mentioned to me that I could create a sigil for this spirit and share it with others. I think that I am going to begin to work with this spirit and share his knowledge with all of you!
There was one last bit of gnosis that came from this experience.
As the candles burned close to the bank dirt, the wax began to set alight, and melt away fully into the dirt, blackening it. The mystery of Dark/Black Earth is a reoccurring theme in meditations and prayers. I'm still not quite sure what it is exactly, but it is truly amazing to see it enter into reality through spellwork. I eventually blew out the fires, as I feared them getting too big, and they went out with one breath. Smoke billowed for a while, until I was finally able to lay the blessed dollar in the earth.
This was truly a wonderful experience, and I hope it was interesting for you all to read as well! Please, feel free to reach out and ask questions about this spell! I'd love to discuss it further with you all!

Beeswax Candles and Romanticizing Simple Living
I've been traveling all over the place this whole summer, learning a ton of family drama and history, and also diving deeper into witchcraft and spirituality. I have a ton of projects, ideas, and wants, but now I need to just figure out how best to execute them.
I was looking at a few videos on making hand-dipped beeswax candles, and realized how much I wanted to do that. Just, make my little (witch)crafts, testing out new methods of making items, and sharing them with my friends. It'd be so fun and nice
I think that wanting to live a "Simple Life" tho is ultimately not really what I want, but I like to LARP like it would cure all my problems. I want to be a witch who lives in a cottage in a forest by the sea, who the villagers go to when they seek the arcane knowledge to change their lives, but I also wanna get on discord and call my friends and make silly memes. Need to have both or I will actually die /j
In other news: I've learned wood carving, and I'm about to finally have all the tools I need to start book binding! I have so many books I wanna make I'm so hype!!!!!

Working the Grimorium Verum P2 the Wand of Klepoth
The wands are not something that are very much spoken of in the Grimoirium Verum. However, from what I understand the Hazel wand/Wand of Klepoth is used for more divinatory purposes. While the Elderwood wand/Wand of Frimost is used more in evocation. I could be wrong here, but my logic primarily stems from the fact that you are to hold the Frimost wand in your hand while reciting the conjuration, and Klepoth is associated with divination. Ignoring the fact that JsK in his version of the Grimorium Verum just refers you to the Keys of Solomon in his notes on the tools, which in some sense helps, but in other ways doesn't.
When it came to acquiring the wood for my wand I quickly ran into a problem. That being, no hazel trees grow near me in Illinois. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I ended up choosing to get a branch from a walnut tree for my wand. Their correspondences are similar enough, and I really did not want to spend about 30 or so dollars to get a branch from a hazel tree shipped to me from Europe. I know JsK said in the ritual procedure section of his notes on the Grimoire, that it's only ok to substitute the goat for paper. You can argue I'm a bad magician or something if you want, but to me, it is more about building a relationship with the spirits and if I am coming to them earnestly and kindly then they would understand more so when I change a few things here and there. I'm not saying, "Oh it's ok to change the entire system to however you want it to be." Rather, I think that it is ok to change a few things here and there as long as you are aware of what you are changing and why.
Sunday, 8/20/23, I went out to my local forest preserve in the first hour of the sun. There I found a young walnut tree, which had not any walnuts growing from its branches like the others nearby, and I prayed to it. I asked it for a branch and for its spirit to aid me in all workings in which the wand was to be used. I then took my Heramael knife (see previous post if you are interested in it) and I cut a branch off the tree. I took it home and shortened the branch to roughly the length of my forearm and removed the bark from it. Here is where I deviated again, the book says to engrave the seal of Klepoth onto the wand. Instead, I used my wood burner and burned the seal on.
I then waited until the second hour of the sun for the consecration. When I began the consecration, I started with the opening prayer at the front of the third part and asperged myself. Then I recited the blessing of the water found in the same part but in the section on the asperger. From there I held up the wand in my right hand and recited the wand's consecration 7 times. I then aspergered the wand and recited the aspergering section on the wand. I then ran it through the incense and recited the prayer for that. After such I then said a prayer to the spirit of the wand and to Klepoth and promised to give the rest of the water I consecrated to the walnut tree which I got the wand from. After the ritual I did exactly that and prayed to the tree and promised that I would pray for its spirit when reciting prayers to the spirit of the wand.

The Golden/Magical Chain, and Lineages....egregores? the open secret to initiation into the mysteries.
One of the aspects that's often undervalued or overlooked in initation is the living breathing lineage we have of the prophets and saints themselves to initiate us. We often either look too critically into Prophets lives or put them on a pedestal, the reality of them acting as initiators for us into traditions is undeniable.
The only proof I can give you about their existence is to look at their image, visit their graves, talk to their image and they will speak. The prophets are just the same as archangels and they didn't "go anywhere".
Just like the people beseech in the name of magical barbarous names, you can beseech or call in the names of the prophets. There are many signs you can see when you do indeed get in touch with them the scriptures opens up. Just like a temple you used to look at before you're allowed inside to see it from the inside. (Quran 50:16) Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ created humankind and ˹fully˺ know what their souls whisper to them, and We are closer to them than ˹their˺ jugular vein The scripture themselves are holy building and the access to them is the prophets. This is imam Ali's Shrine from outside:
It's so beautiful and breath-taking, but what if you asked and prayed to Ali to be allowed entry into his mysteries? how would it look like? what's the inside of it?
or Hagia Sophia
or the church of Nativity
To end this, the abrahamic religions are enlivened by our connections to the prophets and saints and not just by the letters on the paper. Once you call, the scripture and letters become from letters on paper to letters of God, the word of God are alive and breathing, you don't NEED to look elsewhere but it helps. In this spirit of my blog, that I always end my blog with something practical I decided to translate this section from Al Zalitini's Kashkool/Notebook. Which leads to seeing the prophet(Mohammed) in sleep/dream. but I assume the intention can lead to any prophet you have in your heart. Bism Allah Alrahman Alrahimi O God, bless Muhammad, his family, and his companions, and peace be upon Muhammad, his family, and his companions. Bism Allah Alrahman Alrahimi, By the name of Allah, Light upon Light, Praise be to Allah, Ruler of affairs, who created the darkness and the light and sent down the Torah on the Mount of Tabor in a written book. Praise to Allah, praised by his mention, famous by his glory and honor, For better or worse we thank him. Praise to Allah who built the heaven and earth, created darkness and light. O those who disbelieve their God will be judged, Kaf-Ha-Ya-Ayin-Sad , Ha-Meem-Ayin-Seen-Qaf. You alone do we worship, and You alone do we turn for help. O Hayy, O Qayyum, I take you as my refuge, Allah is Gentle with His servants; He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might. Ya Kafi Kula Shay Sustain me from everything, and dismiss everything from me, for you're able to do everything. Glory to Allah, There is no God but Allah, Praise be to Allah, Allah is Great, There is no power, no strength but from Allah the High Almighty blessings and peace upon Mohammed , and his family and companions. Amen.
In the end, I find it funny that this photo was always there in our house, telling me that the prophets are ALIVE and reaching out to us!

Working the Grimorium Verum (P1)
A few weeks ago I decided that I was going to start working the Grimorium Verum. I read and reread and rereread the Grimoire and as much supplemental material as I could get my hands on (I'm referring to all of JsK's pdf books by Hadean Press and that one conjure codex entry by Al Cumins).
Goal/Intent
With that said my primary goal right now is to work towards creating a clay skull, created to the specs Jsk outlined in his notes on the Grimoire in his edition of the book. It is essentially reworking the invisibility spell of the second part into a spell that binds a spirit to the skull. Rather, in his words, "I strongly recommend making a crossroads the place of interment in a reconstruction of this rite using seven coins. The intention of this adaptation would be to make a magical head as a central feature of work with these spirits, a natural extension of the underlying symbolism," (The True Grimoire 160). The only change I am doing to what JsK states is that I am adding grave dirt to the clay for the skull.
The Work I've done thus far
Wednesday, 8/16/23, I began working to get the consecrating the materials necessary for the work. I started the second hour of Mercury at my local graveyard in my town. I asked the spirits of the graveyard to lead me to the grave most suited for my work. I was expecting to be led to a town founder or someone who died violently, rather they sent me to the grave of an old lady who died a hundred years ago on my birthday. This was not intentional on my end. I saw the grave from behind and I felt as though I was being pushed towards it and that it was the right choice for the work. I took the dirt left a coin and promised to pray for her for the next three nights.
I then got home as fast as possible so I could have the second half to craft and consecrate the Asperger and Aspergillus. For the Asperger, I used a black ceramic bowl that I painted the appropriate god names on. For the aspergillus, I took the three herbs, rosemary, (pepper)mint, and oregano (technically you are supposed to use Majoram, but I could not find any in my area and I plan to get the proper plant in the future, but for now both are closely related and I don't think it will do much harm to my work). I consecrated them according to the method in the Third part of the grimoire. Reciting the 7 penitential psalms took long than I thought it would.
Thursday, 8/17/23, in the second hour of Jupiter I engraved a spoon and a knife with Heramael's name and seal. The intention is based out of Goetic Pharamakos, by Jsk where they are used to collect plants in nature for me to work with, such as the branches for the wands. In the 1 night hour of Jupiter I consecrated the two items, however, I slightly adapted the consecration from Jsk's book on Eleogap so that it was to be a general consecration instead of an asperger and aspergillus consecration. The difference between it and the Grimoire's consecration is that it is Thelemic and instead of the psalms it uses chapters 3 and 5 from Liber LXV, which I thought would mean it would be shorter, well it was in the sense that for all things that after you waft the tools of the censer, you are supposed to recite the 7 psalms and psalm 71 and 116, so 21 psalms in total. Personally, I think there is a point where the more you recite over a ritual object the less of an effect it has on it. I could be wrong. Anyhow, below are pictures of the spoon and knife before I consecrated them.
If you have read this far. I thank you and apologize for the length and potential boringness of this blog post. My goal is to generate interest in the grimoire that is less about conjuring all the spirits in it and more about creating spirit relationships. As well as to document my progress and create discussion.

Hagith "House Sweetner" (With Special Guest Star @ome-magical-ramblings!)
The above picture is from the Hagith work I did, as instructed by the spirit, transmitted through my friend OmE (@ome-magical-ramblings)!
The idea behind it is to "sweeten" the home, or location that you do it. I'll link the actual working below if you wanna try it yourself!
But I can say for sure that this work was a success, and had great results!
Actually doing the work was really simple and relaxing. I fell asleep easily each night I did it, and woke up well rested. During this time frame, I also noticed that while I was in my home I was pretty joyful, and my depression and other issue seemed to be far off and at rest. When leaving though, I felt a want to go home frequently as the outside world was not so pleasant. Probably the only actual downside to the spell. But otherwise, I always felt a good presence in my room, and I became more light, more calm, and was able to think more clearly.
Here's the link to OmE's original post: https://www.tumblr.com/ome-magical-ramblings/713381186400141312/home-sweeteningstability-spell?source=share
Try it out, and be sure to let us (Me and OmE) know how it went!

Klepoth Work (From The Secrets of Solomon)
This is probably one of the most insane and out there practices I have done and gotten results from. Within the Secrets of Solomon By Joseph H Peterson are many different works based around the Verum demons. The "Secrets" are all very unique ways of contacting and working the magic of these demons. However, I felt that this particular secret was going to be my first attempt at contact with one of these spirits.
I was genuinely unsure how this would manifest, and was excited to find out!
I went out to the woods near my parent's house. I brought a bag of flour, the book, and 6 white tea light candles. I made it to the spot, and set down my bag. I drew up the circle in flour, and made the sigil within. I placed a candle at different points around the circle, and then lit each of them. I then took out the book and sat next to the circle. I began to sing the invocation, for 12 rounds. Over time, I grew familiarity with the words, and they seemed to come to life. Well, after 12 rounds of singing, nothing happened. I waited and waited, still nothing. I figured that it was something of the past, and not really worthwhile. I thank Klepoth for her time, and dismissed her. I snuffed the candles, and removed the circle.
The rest of my night was pretty normal. I talked with my friends on Discord, refused to sleep until 3AM, the usual. But, as my candles dimmed and snuffed out, and I prepared for bed, I finally got the results I wanted. I laid my head down to go to sleep at long last, and that's when I heard it.
A strange voice came from nowhere saying "Did you really think I'd forget about you?" or something to that effect. Her voice was very inhuman, but it was eerily similar to Kyubey from Madoka Magica. But very distorted, pitch shifted, and non human. After she spoke, music came, again from no discernible source. The thing that shocked me is that it had actual musical theory applied to it. It made sense. It was real music, though I had never heard this piece in my life. It had many instruments, starting more orchestral then branching off, gaining new genres and styles. It grew and grew. becoming greater and greater. Finally, it came to an end, and left just as it went.
I fell asleep afterwards, and have been thinking about this experience since. The Verum spirits are truly unique, and in all honestly Klepoth didn't seem to act like any of the demons I've previously encountered. She even seemed more fae-like than demon-like. There's a lot to ponder with this and other experiences I will discuss soon. But for now, I'll let you all ponder on this one.

An Interesting Spirit... Blockage??
So I had an interesting spirit encounter a few days ago.
I was doing a not-so-love-and-light working with a more infernal spirit (keeping specifics vague on purpose), and the main portions were invocations to the spirit. I did the first invocation and used a coin to determine if the spirit was present. I put the coin in the flame of the candle dedicated to that spirit, and asked if it was present. Flipped it, got a no. I did four more calls, and got four more nos.
Then, I turned to the four candles around the central one, each used to represent a spiritual force or presence (think similar to spirit guides/allies). I put the coin through all four flames and asked if the spirit was being blocked. Yes. I asked if it was a certain group of spirits. Yes. I asked if I could banish it on my own. No. I then asked if I could call on one of their superior spirits to banish it. Yes.
I called on that spirit and asked them to remove the spirit blocking the work. Another round of the coin in the flame, asking if they had removed the spirit and unblocked the work; Yes.
Did another invocation of the spirit, immediate yes. The work continued as normal, although a random man came up to me as soon as I got it confirmed that the spirit was there, and he asked what was going on. He said he had to be nosey. He got close, and said "ah I see" and left. I've noticed that a lot of people will see my spells/rituals when I'm out in public, come by, and then either not see all of it, or will just ignore it like its normal. M...Magic real????

The Religion Of The Spirits
One thing that I think very few people talk about is the actual Religion of the spirits we engage with. Sure, we talk about pagan gods, Christian saints, etc. but I'm not sure if we realize the extent of this. I honestly hadn't given it much thought until very recently, but there are certainly instances in which spirits I've engaged with have a clear and defined religious identity.
I was talking with one of my Islamic friends, and he was talking about how djinn have religions. For example, there are Christian jinn, Muslim jinn, etc. They have religious affiliations just like we do. This got me to thinking about some of my past experiences with spirits.
I've found that various "lower" spirits (i.e.: Elementals, local spirits, spirits of the air and local weather, etc.) have religious affiliations, and beliefs. I also noticed that this seemed to change depending on my locale. In Virginia, most of the terrestrial, nature, and local spirits were "pagan" or at least non-Christian. In fact some of them had their own gods they worshiped. I recall a classmate of mine actually discovered one of the goddesses he venerated found a river near us to be sacred to her. Revealed through dreams etc. Yet the weather/storm spirits responded really really well to Abrahamic, specifically Christian, invocations and prayers. They always calmed down when I would call on the Lunar Archangel (Gabriel) and certain other angels, and working with the lore of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee. (I think I'll make a post later about using mythology, folklore, etc. to craft spells and rituals). Contrast that with when I moved to Georgia, and the local spirits (at least in Savannah) are largely Christian and/or Hermetic in some aspects, while the spirits of the weather respond so much better to pre-Christian deities and invocations. Zeus and Helios especially. Though I also have a feeling that they prefer other spirits, and other methods than just invocations and petitioning higher powers.
I think it's important to consider the religion of the spirits we call. I saw a post by Hoodoo Moses on instagram a while back where he linked an article about a certain charm. It was a Crucifix with Jesus on it, however it is common in Muslim dominated communities. The reason being that it was a charm used again Christian Jinn who may be harming or possessing a person. Even though the person may not believe in Christianity, they know that spirit does and to rid it, you need to go through the avenue that would best appeal to it. It's a unique and genius way of thinking and working. Yet so simple at the same time.
Just something to ponder on, perhaps I'll go more in-depth as I explore it further, maybe make a video on it. I just think it's neat!
It also makes me wonder if there's New Age and Starseed jinn/local spirits. I think that concept alone is supremely entertaining
