A Fugue Feast gift for @stealingpotatoes for the @dishonoredgiftexchange! I loved writing this 😁

She saw an exhibit at the Conservatory once—magnets, hundreds of them, shaping designs, powering machines, everything propelled by pulsating motions that drew her in, like she was made of the very same stuff at her core, cold metal. That’s how it’s always been with her and Jack—they let each other in, bit by bit, until something flips and they drive each other away. Miss White meets Doctor Ramsey at the Boyles' latest ball; things proceed naturally, as always.

Here's my second @dishonoredgiftexchange gift (this time as a pinch hitter) for @wolfgirl-valentine 😊

The prompt was about post DoTO Corvosider having a tender moment. I was so glad to draw them, tho I tried something new to me drawing such background. It was harder than I thought, but in the end I'm really happy I nailed it!

Also thank @kg-clark-inthedark for the help with few beautiful ideas! I shake your hand as a fellow Corvosider expert 😎

How many of the prompts do I have to do?

You only have to choose one of the prompts given to you! However, if you find yourself able to combine multiple prompts together into your gift, you’re free to do that!

I really liked the prompts I was given, am I allowed to make multiple gifts?

For the sake of fairness, only make one gift for your giftee. If you were very inspired by their prompts, you can create with them outside of the gift exchange event (ie. without mentioning the gift exchange) and ping your giftee.

Well, what *counts* as multiple gifts?

Multiple gifts means two separate creations that are not linked to each other in any way and are for two different prompts.

If you, for example, write something and add additional art to it, that is acceptable because they are both for one prompt. Multiple images for one prompt is also acceptable.

My prompts don’t say whether something is for art or writing.

While some people prefer detailing whether they want art and/or writing for each prompt, most people don’t. In that case, do whichever you think is appropriate for each prompt!

My gift for @puddtoast for @dishonoredgiftexchange’s 2024 fugue feast. I went with the prompt of Aramis Stilton thinking about lost love in the wake of Luca’s downfall while listening to his last audiograph from Theodanis Abele, and then realizing he’ll be okay when a monarch butterfly lands on the audiograph player.

I’ve been head over heels for this emotional sucker punch of a prompt, so I hope I did it justice!! Also I’m delighted to have finally drawn Stilton for the first time. Thank you for providing such fun and detailed prompts to choose from! (Btw I didn’t know what symbolism you were hoping for - if any - when requesting a monarch, so I ran with what I grew up with, in terms of the whole “carrying souls of the dead” thing. Hope that works for you!)

On the seventh day of celebrating the restoration of the young Empress Emily to her throne, Corvo Attano snaps.

It is not a gradual onset but rather the result of months during which Corvo would bottle up his feelings. All the anger and fury, all the sadness, and all the vengeance for the unjust. The feelings of a father wrongly accused and separated from his child.

For those seven blissful days, he succeeds in holding it together. At least until another noble makes a passing comment, degrades his still too young daughter for being a child when that is all Emily should be at the age of thirteen.

She deserves a sense of normalcy in her life after witnessing the death of her mother, after being kidnapped and held prisoner, after nearly being used as a tool for puppet monarchy.

A child!

So it is on the seventh day that Corvo rises from his seat in the middle of Parliament and disappears into the streets of Dunwall.
