I like canon divergence and explorations on his bonds with his team (+ kushina) and it feels like I've finished reading everything on ao3 (I know I haven't but like I can't find stories to read but it's only been like 2 days since I've started and yet)

okay, so we do understand that honestly, genuinely. all but two of his photos are specifically shown to be from newspaper clippings, right???

here i'll show you-

as you can see--the first 3 photo are specifically newspaper, as they're connected to articles. as are the two in the bottom left panel. the two photos in the middle of the top panel right before the book are two photos that he did specifically take--because they're the photos specifically from the beginning of the issue, as seen here:

you can see the subect matches these panels completely. the photo in the photobook *has* to be from a newspaper clipping because it's *batman from the circus when he was 5 & with his parents & clearly not taking photos*

it's an exact match, so it had to have been taken by a reporter as we know that tim didn't have a camera there & he was busy being distraught over dick & looking at dick.

so all but the two photos tim took canonically have to come from newpaper clippings & that jives with all the newspaper clippings he's shown to have. this was also pre-zero hour, so they weren't urban legends and were consistently in the news with reporters taking pictures and videos, which made it easy for tim to read about them and follow their exploits from afar. but alas. most of the photos he clearly didn't take or couldn't have taken. don't get me wrong, he clearly was. very significant aware of dick & bruce's lives (he knew where dick's secret apartment was) buttttt. it's a scrapbook of newpaper clippingssss. he read art world today for an article about bruce, give him credit for that!!

Their dynamic reflects Tim's dynamic with Ra's in that Tony wants to collect Tim and Tim just wants to be left alone. Hm maybe that's more Bruce and Tim's dynamic tho. "Let me adopt you" adult against "I would rather die" teen.
