Bournemouth vs Manchester City - Premier League Predictions
Monday 13th February 2017 - Bournemouth vs Manchester City (Kick-Off 20:00)
Bournemouth last 6 PL results 04/02/17 Everton 6 - 3 Bournemouth L 31/01/17 Bournemouth 0 - 2 Palace L 21/01/17 Bournemouth 2 - 2 Watford D 14/01/17 Hull 3 - 1 Bournemouth L 03/01/17 Bournemouth 3 - 3 Arsenal D 31/12/16 Swansea 0 - 3 Bournemouth W
Bournemouth form in last 6 PL games Points: 5 (WDLDLL) Goals Scored: 12 Goals Conceded: 16
Analysis Bournemouth are yet to win a Premier League game in 2017 and have conceded more goals than any other Premier League side in their last 6 games.
Man City last 6 PL results 05/02/17 Man City 2 - 1 Swansea W 01/02/17 West Ham 0 - 4 Man City W 21/01/17 Man City 2 - 2 Spurs D 15/01/17 Everton 4 - 0 Man City L 02/01/17 Man City 2 - 1 Burnley W 31/12/16 Liverpool 1 - 0 Man City L
Man City form in last 6 PL games Points: 10 (LWLDWW) Goals Scored: 10 Goals Against: 9
Analysis In their last 2 away games City have won and lost by 4 goals to nil against West Ham and Everton. The 4 - 0 loss to Everton is their only defeat in the Premier League in 2017 so far.
Bournemouth vs Manchester City
Bournemouth are another one of those sides yet to win in the Premier League in 2017. Their inconsistent season is highlighted by great games such as their excellent 3 - 3 draw against Arsenal in January, their seven-goal thriller against Liverpool in December and their 6 - 1 demolition of Hull in October mixed with poor performances where the Cherries have conceded a high number of goals (such as against Everton last time out, where, despite some positives in the performance, they conceded six times).
Fortunately for Bournemouth, they are back at the Vitality Stadium for their game against Manchester City where their better performances have come. But defensively is where they need to drastically improve as they have conceded fifteen goals from the twenty-nine shots they have faced on target in the last six games (defender Tyrone Mings scored an own goal against Hull).
In their next six games Manchester City face Liverpool (H), Arsenal (A) and Chelsea (A) in a run of games that could define their season. Prior to that, their initial Premier League concerns will be away here at Bournemouth, a trip to Sunderland and a home game against Stoke. There may just be some momentum building at City following back-to-back wins against Swansea and West Ham and, if they can win their next three Premier League games and upcoming last sixteen Champions League tie with Monaco, they could go into those three big Premier League games full of confidence.
City have faced the least shots on goal (38) in the last six games and have also faced the second least amount of shots on target (13). They consistently create chances and that combined with Bournemouth's fragile defence should lead to a City victory in what should be an exciting, attacking game of football.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1 - 3 Man City

Swansea City vs Leicester City - Premier League Predictions
Sunday 12th February 2017 - Swansea City vs Leicester City (Kick-Off 16:00)
Swansea last 6 PL results 05/02/17: Man City 2 - 1 Swansea L 31/01/17: Swansea 2 - 1 Southampton W 21/01/17: Liverpool 2 - 3 Swansea W 14/01/17: Swansea 0 - 4 Arsenal L 03/01/17: Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Swansea W 31/12/16: Swansea 0 - 3 Bournemouth L
Swansea City form in last 6 PL games Points: 9 (LWLWWL) Goals Scored: 8 Goals Against: 13
Analysis Since Paul Clement was appointed manager of Swansea, the Swans have picked up 9 points from a possible 15. This included 2 impressive away victories at relegation rivals Crystal Palace and title-chasing Liverpool. They also won their first game home game since beating Sunderland 3 - 0 in early December. Their recent form has lifted them out of the relegation zone and they were desperately unlucky not to steal a point from the Etihad after Man City scored an injury time winner through Gabriel Jesus.
Leicester last 6 PL results 05/02/17 Leicester 0 - 3 Man Utd L 31/01/17 Burnley 1 - 0 Leicester L 22/01/17 Southampton 3 - 0 Leicester L 14/01/17 Leicester 0 - 3 Chelsea L 02/01/17 Middlesbrough 0 - 0 Leicester D 31/12/16 Leicester 1 - 0 West Ham W
Leicester City form in last 6 PL games Points: 4 (WDLLLL) Goals Scored: 1 Goals Against: 10
Analysis Leicester's recent Premier League has been abysmal and the Premier League champions are not only wondering where their next win is going to come from but also their next goal. They have failed to score in the league in 2017 and although they did beat West Ham on New Years Eve, they have only picked up one point since.
Swansea City vs Leicester City
This is a crucial relegation battle between two sides in contrasting form recently. What was so effective last season for Leicester has proved to be entirely the opposite this season. The high pressing, counter-attacking style of football played by Claudio Ranieri's side last season has been largely ineffective this season. Leicester continue to afford sides plenty of possession but they have already conceded five more goals this season (41) than they did in the whole of the 2015/2016 season (36).
And a quick look at the stats for the last six games highlights where their problems lie:
- They have faced more shots on goal than any other side in the last six games (101 - of which 28 have been on target) - They have only managed eighteen shots on target in that time - an average of three a game - On average, they have only had 37.5% possession in their last six games, only West Brom have seen less of the ball in that period.
They have lost three of their last four games by three goals to nil and Claudio Ranieri will be hoping they have reached the lowest point of their season.
In contrast, Swansea have seen vastly improved results and performances since Paul Clement took charge and they will be confident they can bounce back from the injury time defeat to Manchester City. Interestingly, their stats have been fairly similar to Leicester in the last six games. Swansea are ranked 18th in terms of average possession (40.3%) and are just above the Foxes and West Brom. They are also ranked 18th for total shots on goal (just 59) and they have only had twenty-two attempts on target.
But where Swansea have improved is the total shots on goal they faced in the last six games (75 shots against them - ranking 8th for this stat - of which 27 have been on target - ranking 9th). It remains to be seen whether the extra-time FA Cup win midweek over Derby will boost Leicester's season and, on recent Premier League form combined with Leicester's disatrous away form, Swansea will be confident of continuing their revival and adding to Leicester's Premier League misery.
Prediction: Swansea 2 - 1 Leicester

Burnley vs Chelsea - Premier League Prediction
Sunday 12th February 2017 - Burnley vs Chelsea (Kick-Off 13:30)
Burnley last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Watford 2 - 1 Burnley L 31/01/17: Burnley 1 - 0 Leicester W 22/01/17: Arsenal 2 - 1 Burnley L 14/01/17: Burnley 1 - 0 Southampton W 02/01/17: Man City 2 - 1 Burnley L 31/12/16: Burnley 4 - 1 Sunderland W
Burnley form in last 6 PL games Points: 9 (WLWLWL) Goals Scored: 9 Goals Conceded: 7
Analysis 3 home wins and 3 away defeats, Burnley's last 6 games highlights their contrast in form at Turf Moor and on their travels. At home, they have only scored one first half goal in their last 3 games which came against Sunderland, however, they have only conceded 1 second half goal - also against Sunderland when Jermain Defoe scored a late consolation. Is another goalless first half on the cards against the league leaders?
Chelsea last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Chelsea 3 - 1 Arsenal W 31/01/17: Liverpool 1 - 1 Chelsea D 22/01/17: Chelsea 2 - 0 Hull W 14/01/17: Leicester 0 - 3 Chelsea W 04/01/17: Spurs 2 - 0 Chelsea L 31/12/16: Chelsea 4 - 2 Stoke W
Chelsea form in last 6 PL games Points: 13 (WLWWDW) Goals Scored: 13 Goals Against: 6
Analysis Only 1 defeat in their last 6 PL games to title rivals Spurs and they have picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 in their last 4 games since that loss at White Hart Lane. They have played champions Leicester and 3 title rivals in Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool in their last 6 games and have moved 9 points clear at the top of the table with 13 points from their last 18 available.
Burnley vs Chelsea
Burnley's recent form of winning at Turf Moor and losing games away from home consecutively reflects their current position in mid-table. Their home form has been fantastic (picking up 28 points from a possible 39) and will most likely continue to be pivotal to them surviving relegation unless their disastrous away form (where they have picked up 1 point from a possible 33) drastically improves. The problem they face is if their home form starts to falter then they could find themselves slipping into a relegation battle. And with Chelsea having the best away record in the Premier League, this could be one of those home games where Burnley might struggle.
First half goals have been something of a rarity at Turf Moor recently and Chelsea may find it difficult to break down a Burnley side with the joint-third best defensive record at home in the league. The Clarets have won their last five home games and have only lost to Swansea, on the opening day, Arsenal and Manchester City at Turf Moor, all by the odd goal.
But last weekend's convincing 3 - 1 win against title rivals Arsenal has given Chelsea a nine point lead at the top of the Premier League and they seem to be able to find goals from all angles. They have had eight different goalscorers in their last six games and full-back Marcos Alonso is their top goalscorer with three goals in that run of games.
A goalless first half with Burnley frustrating Chelsea seems a possible scenario but you would expect the league leaders to eventually break down their resistance and keep up the immense pressure on the chasing pack.
Prediction: Burnley 0 - 2 Chelsea

Liverpool vs Tottenham - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February 2017 - Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur (Kick-Off 17:30)
Liverpool last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Hull 2 - 0 Liverpool L 31/01/17: Liverpool 1 - 1 Chelsea D 21/01/17: Liverpool 2 - 3 Swansea L 15/01/17: Man Utd 1 - 1 Liverpool D 02/01/17: Sunderland 2 - 2 Liverpool D 31/12/16: Liverpool 1 - 0 Man City W
Liverpool form in last 6 PL games Points: 6 (WDDLDL) Goals Scored: 7 Goals Against: 9
Analysis Liverpool are yet to win 2017, however they have only failed to have more possession, more touches of the ball and attempt more passes against Man United and Man City.
Spurs last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Spurs 1 - 0 Middlesbrough W 31/01/17: Sunderland 0 - 0 Spurs D 21/01/17: Man City 2 - 2 Spurs D 14/01/17: Spurs 4 - 0 West Brom W 04/01/17: Spurs 2 - 0 Chelsea W 01/01/17: Spurs 4 - 1 Watford W
Spurs form in last 6 PL games Points: 14 (WWWDDW) Goals Scored: 13 Goals Conceded: 3
Analysis Only Everton have had better form than Tottenham over the last 6 Premier League games (as a result of scoring more goals) and their unbeaten run has seen them rise to 6 in the table. However, they struggled to break down a stubborn Middlesbrough defence and failed to score away to Sunderland in their last 2 games.
Liverpool vs Tottenham
Much like Arsenal, Liverpool's recent form has all but ended their title challenge and the fight is on to get back into the top four. The problem for Liverpool just recently seems to be that everyone is expecting a big reaction to the previous poor result but it just isn't happening. Even in their 1 - 1 draws against Chelsea and Manchester United, arguably their better performances of 2017, they have looked vulnerable. The Reds will always create chances as proved by them having the sixth highest number of shots (84) and fourth highest number of shots on target (33) in their last six games, but sides have been punishing them for not taking those chances. Swansea only had three shots on target against Liverpool, scored from all three and grabbed an unlikely 3 - 2 win.
At the start of the festive period, Liverpool were within six points of league leaders Chelsea and in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup. Since then, they have fallen out of the Premier League's top four and fallen thirteen points behind Chelsea, failed to reach Wembley as they lost to Southampton in the EFL Cup semi final and crashed out of the FA Cup in the fourth round losing at home to Championship side Wolves. They have failed to win in the league in 2017 and desperately need to improve on their recent form otherwise a season which promised so much may only provide the consolation prize of the Europa League, or maybe less.
Spurs continue to impress and have become the popular choice in choosing a side who may yet challenge Chelsea for the title from the chasing pack. They have the second best record in their last six Premier League games which included a highly impressive 2 - 0 win over league leaders Chelsea and a spirited comeback from two goals down to draw against Manchester City. However, the recent 0 - 0 draw against Sunderland is an example of a result Spurs can ill afford at this stage if they are to reel in Chelsea.
Despite how poor Liverpool have been, this could be the perfect opportunity to turn things around. A win for Liverpool and there may just be the feeling that the Premier League title will be heading to Stamford Bridge but Spurs are a very difficult side to break down. Four clean sheets in five games emphasises this and they have conceded the least goals of any side in their last six games. It will be a lively and enthralling encounter, but ultimately both sides will likely cancel each other out.
Prediction: Liverpool 0 - 0 Tottenham

West Ham vs West Bromwich Albion - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February 2017 - West Ham vs West Bromwich Albion (Kick Off 15:00)
West Ham last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Southampton 1 - 3 West Ham W 01/02/17:West Ham 0 - 4 Man City L 21/01/17: Middlesbrough 1 - 3 West Ham W 14/01/17: West Ham 3 - 0 Crytsal Palace W 02/01/17: West Ham 0 - 2 Man United L 31/12/16: Leicester 1 - 0 West Ham L
West Ham form in last 6 PL games Points: 9 (LLWWLW) Goals Scored: 9 Goals Conceded: 9
Analysis 9 points, 9 goals scored and 9 goals conceded, West Ham's recent form highlights their inconsistent season. However, they are on a run of 3 wins in 4 games and have climbed into the top half of table.
West Brom last 6 PL results 04/02/17: West Brom 1 - 0 Stoke W 31/01/17: Middlesbrough 1 - 1 West Brom D 21/01/17: West Brom 2 - 0 Sunderland W 14/01/17: Spurs 4 - 0 West Brom L 02/01/17: West Brom 3 - 1 Hull W 31/12/16: Southampton 1 - 2 West Brom W
West Brom form in last 6 PL games Points: 13 (WWLWDW) Goals Scored: 9 Goals Conceded: 7
Analysis Only 1 defeat in last 6 games. Have had less possession, touches of the ball and made less passes against every team played in last 6 games.
West Ham vs West Brom
West Ham's season has been very inconsistent and this has been typified by their last six games where they have won three and lost three, scored nine goals and conceded nine times. Looked at in another way, however, they have won three of their last four games and have seen an upturn in their form. But it highlights a side who, up until now, have been very inconsistent, but their impressive away win at Southampton last time out has lifted them to ninth in the Premier League table and West Ham will be seeking to consolidate a top half finish.
They face a West Brom side who have had a superb season. They are currently eighth in the table and only four points off seventh placed Everton. After a tough run of games resulting in defeats to Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in December, West Brom have bounced back and lost only one of their last 6 games to title chasing Tottenham. In fact, seven of their eight league defeats this season have been against sides currently above them in table. Their only other loss was a 1 - 0 defeat away to Bournemouth back in September. Their form against the teams below them in the table has been a vital part of their success this season.
One recognisable feature of West Brom's play is that they are comfortable in affording teams possession and they have had the lowest average possession of every side in the Premier League in their last six games (36.8%). So long as they continue to be efficient in taking their chances at the right time and shutting out the opposition, then West Brom will continue to have a largely successful season with a top half finish.
West Ham will likely see a lot of the ball against West Brom and with Andy Carroll in good recent form (three goals in his last four matches), then West Brom will have their work cut out keeping West Ham out.
Prediction: West Ham United 2 - 0 West Brom

Sunderland vs Southampton - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February 2017 - Sunderland vs Southampton (Kick-Off 15:00)
Sunderland last 6 Premier League results 04/02/17: Palace 0 - 4 Sunderland W 31/01/17: Sunderland 0 - 0 Spurs D 21/01/17: West Brom 2 - 0 Sunderland L 14/01/17: Sunderland 1 - 3 Stoke L 02/01/17: Sunderland 2 - 2 Liverpool D 31/12/16: Burnley 4 - 1 Sunderland L
Sunderland form in last 6 Premier League games Points: 5 (LDLLDW) Goals Scored: 8 Goals Conceded: 11
Analysis Unbeaten in last 2 league games with 2 consecutive clean sheets. 1st win of 2017 against Crystal Palace (first win since beating Watford 1 - 0 at home on 17/12/16)
Southampton last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Southampton 1 - 3 West Ham L 31/01/17: Swansea 2 - 1 Southampton L 22/01/17: Southampton 3 - 0 Leicester W 14/01/17: Burnley 1 - 0 Southampton L 02/01/17: Everton 3 - 0 Southampton L 31/12/16: Southampton 1 - 2 West Brom L
Southampton form in last 6 games Points: 3 (LLLWLL) Goals Scored: 6 Goals Conceded: 11
Analysis Only 1 win and 1 clean sheet in last 6 league games. Only 1 goal away from home in last 3 league games.
Sunderland vs Southampton
Although they have only won once in their last six games (hammering Crystal Palace 4 - 0 in their last game), four points and two clean sheets in their last two games have helped Sunderland to keep in touch with the teams above them and a win here could see them move out of the relegation zone for the first time since matchweek 3 when they drew 1 - 1 with Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium in August. To Sunderland's advantage, apart from recent small revivals from Hull and Swansea, the form of the teams in the relegation battle has been very poor.
Nevertheless, there is reason for optimism for Sunderland in their relegation battle. Despite the fact they have faced more shots on goal than any other side apart from Leicester (100) and more shots on target (44) than any other side in their last six games, they have proved in their last two games that they are ready to fight for survival.
Southampton have had a largely inconsistent season looking very impressive in some games, particularly in the EFL cup where they reached the final without conceding a goal, and very ordinary in others. This is particularly true in the Premier League where they are on a very poor run of one win (against struggling Leicester) in six Premier League games and have not necessarily assured themselves of Premier League survival.
A big part of their problem lies in scoring goals. Their haul of 24 goals is the joint-third lowest in the Premier League and they must start converting chances into goals. In their last six games they have also scored the third lowest number of goals despite ranking third in terms of the number of shots they have had on goal (66). However, less than half of these have been on target (25, ranking 9th).
As poor as Southampton have been, with just two weeks before their EFL Cup final against Manchester United the players will be desperate to impress manager Claude Puel and get a place in the starting line-up at Wembley. David Moyes will make Sunderland difficult to break down and this could lead to a bit of a stalemate.
Prediction: Sunderland 1 - 1 Southampton

Stoke City vs Crystal Palace - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February 2017 - Stoke City vs Crystal Palace (Kick-Off 15:00)
Stoke last 6 PL results 04/02/17: WBA 1 - 0 Stoke L 01/02/17: Stoke 1 - 1 Everton D 21/01/17: Stoke 1 - 1 Man United D 14/01/17: Sunderland 1 - 3 Stoke W 03/01/17: Stoke 2 - 0 Watford W 31/12/16: Chelsea 4 - 2 Stoke L
Stoke form in last 6 Premier League games Points: 8 (LWWDDL) Goals Scored: 9 Goals Conceded: 8
Analysis Peter Crouch has been in fantastic scoring form recently and has scored 4 goals in Stoke's last 6 games. They have not lost at home in 6 league games since 19/11/16 when they lost 1 - 0 to Bournemouth, winning 2 and drawing 4 in that run. Their defeat against against West Brom last time out was their first in 2017.
Crystal Palace last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Crystal Palace 0 - 4 Sunderland L 31/01/17: Bournemouth 0 - 2 Crystal Palace W 21/01/17: Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Everton L 14/01/17: West Ham 3 - 0 Crystal Palace L 03/01/17:聽 Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Swansea L 01/01/17: Arsenal 2 - 0 Crystal Palace L
Crystal Palace form in last 6 Premier League games Points: 3 (LLLLWL) Goals Scored: 3 Goals Conceded: 12
Analysis Only 1 win in last 6 games and conceded more goals than any other PL side in last 6 games.
Stoke City vs Crystal Palace
Surprisingly, Stoke's home form this season is actually fairly average (ranked 14th) and reflects their mid-table standing overall. They are in 11th place and their position in the table on the basis of their previous six games sees them lie in 11th place also. They have won consecutive games on two occasions this season but seem to follow positive results with a run of games without winning. Their last 6 games reflects this with two wins over Watford and Sunderland followed by, albeit highly respectable, draws against Man United and Everton and a defeat in their last game against West Brom.
The only statistic in which Stoke don't find themselves ranking around mid-table is in the amount of shots on goal they have faced in the last six games (95 being the fifth highest in the league). Trips to Spurs and Manchester City and a home game against Chelsea lie in wait in the next five games for The Potters and they will want to ensure they win games like this to stay comfortably clear of any relegation trouble.
Crystal Palace's season has been very poor and the appointment of Sam Allardyce has done little, so far, to assure Palace's fans that they will avoid the drop. In the seven games Allardyce has been in charge, Palace have picked up four points, scored just four goals and conceded thirteen. Allardyce, however, has never been relegated from the premier league as a manager and has faced a relegation survival battle as recently as last season when he guided Sunderland to, yet another, great escape from relegation to the Championship.
After their emphatic defeat at home to Sunderland, Palace will be determined to give their fans, and their survival hopes, a much needed boost and, with Stoke's inconsistent run of results this season, they could leave the bet365 Stadium with a point.
Prediction: Stoke 1 -1 Crystal Palace

Middlesbrough vs Everton - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February - Middlesbrough vs Watford (Kick-Off 15:00)
Middlesbrough Last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Spurs 1 - 0 Boro L 31/01/17: Boro 1 - 1 WBA D 21/01/17: Boro 1 - 3 West Ham L 14/01/17: Watford 0 - 0 Boro D 02/01/17: Boro 0 - 0 Leicester D 31/12/16: Man Utd 2 - 1 Boro L
Middlesbrough form in last 6 games Points: 3 (LDDLDL) Goals Scored: 3 Goals Conceded: 7
Analysis Middlesbrough have not won in their last 6 games and have the third worst record in that period in the league. They have only scored more than 1 goal in a PL game 4 times this season. They have lost 3 times in their last 6 games and have not won in 7 games since beating Swansea 3 - 0 on 17/12/16 (1 win in 10).
Everton last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Everton 6 - 3 Bournemouth W 01/02/17: Stoke 1 - 1 Everton D 21/01/17: Palace 0 - 1 Everton W 15/01/17: Everton 4 - 0 Man City W 02/01/17: Everton 3 - 0 Southampton W 30/12/16: Hull 2 - 2 Everton D
Everton form in last 6 games Points: 14 (DWWWDW) Goals Scored: 17 Goals Conceded: 6
Analysis Everton have been in fantastic form recently and have the best record of any Premier League side in their last 6 games. They are unbeaten in their last 7 games overall and have not lost since losing 1 - 0 to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on 19/12/16.
Middlesbrough vs Everton
Middlesbrough's season has been largely defined by being difficult to beat. It is a highly commendable achievement to have conceded less goals (27) than Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and every other side in the bottom half of the table but the cost of a tight defence for Boro is a severe lack of goals. They have only scored more than one goal in a game on four occasions this season.
Aitor Karanka's side are the only side not to win in their last six games and their tally of three goals in that period is the joint-second lowest (only Leicester have scored less with one goal). Boro have averaged 51.5% possession in their last six games (ranked 9th in the league) and they are clearly seeing enough of the ball to try and create goal-scoring opportunities but it is in the final third where there problems lie. They have had the fewest shots on goal (53) and the fewest shots on target (an abysmal 9).
They face the most in-form side in the Premier League on the evidence of the last 6 games in Everton and Ronald Koeman's side might be able to mount a challenge on the league's top four. They have moved to within seven points of fourth placed Arsenal and Romelu Lukaku's four goals against Bournemouth helped him move to the top of the premier league scoring charts. If Everton can keep their talisman scoring, a European challenge could start to materialize.
Middlesbrough will most likely attempt to restrict the number of chances The Toffees create, but Everton have had the fourth highest number of shots on goal over the last six games (90) and they will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run against a Middlesbrough side struggling for goals and wins.
Prediction: Middlesbrough 0 - 2 Everton

Manchester United vs Watford - Premier League Prediction
Saturday 11th February - Manchester United vs Watford (Kick-Off 15:00)
Man Utd last 6 PL results 05/02/17: Leicester 0 - 3 Man Utd W 01/02/17: Man Utd 0 - 0 Hull D 21/01/17: Stoke 1 - 1 Man Utd D 15/01/17: Man Utd 1 - 1 Liverpool D 02/01/17: West Ham 0 - 2 Man Utd W 31/01/16: Man Utd 2 - 1 Boro W
Man Utd form in last 6 games Points: 12 (WWDDDW) Goals Scored: 9 Goals Conceded: 3
Analysis Manchester United have only conceded 3 goals in their last 6 Premier League games (scoring 9) - 1 og (Mata vs Stoke) & 1 Pen (vs Liv - Milner) - Grant Leadbitter of Middlesbrough is the only player to score from opening play in that time.
Watford last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Watford 2 - 1 Burnley W 31/01/17: Arsenal 1 - 2 Watford W 21/01/17: Bournemouth 2 - 2 Watford D 14/01/17: Watford 0 - 0 Middlesbrough D 03/01/17: Stoke 2 - 0 Watford L 01/01/17: Watford 1 - 4 Spurs L
Watford form in last 6 games Points: 8 (LLDDWW) Goals Scored: 7 Goals conceded: 10
Analysis Watford are unbeaten in their last 4 Premier League games and have climbed into the top half of the table. Prior to winning their last 2 games, they had been on a run of 7 league games without a win.
Manchester United vs Watford
Despite being on a fifteen game unbeaten run since their 4 - 0 hammering by Jose Mourinho's former side Chelsea in October, Manchester United still find themselves outside the top four and chasing a Champions League place. The Red Devils have only lost three times this season (joint-second best in the league with Chelsea) but the reason they have struggled to climb the table in that unbeaten run is down to the number of draws they have had.
In their last six games, United drew three games in a row against Liverpool, Stoke and Hull before comfortably beating Leicester by three goals to nil. Interestingly, United have drawn three Premier League games in a row earlier this season when they were held by Arsenal, West Ham and Everton before going on to win six league games in a row. Could lightning strike twice? They are scheduled to play Watford (H), Bournemouth (H), Southampton (A), Middlesbrough (A) and West Brom (H) in their next five games in a run of highly winnable games. (The Manchester derby is due to be rescheduled after United's success in progressing to the EFL Cup final).
As for Watford, after their difficult festive period, back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Burnley have pushed them back into the top half of the table and they are now ten points clear of the relegation zone. The problem for mid-table sides is that a couple of defeats can easily drag them into relegation trouble at this stage of the season. Watford may have a comfortable cushion over the bottom three for now, but they may start to look anxiously over their shoulders over the next few weeks. This is a tough game for The Hornets against a Manchester United side hoping this may be the week they break back into the top four.
Prediction: Man United 2 - 0 Watford

Analysis 2 defeats in their last 2 games have seen what was a possible title challenge turn into what will most likely be a fight for the top 4. They have scored the joint second highest amount of goals in their last 6 games and will have to ensure they immediately bounce back with a victory this weekend.
Hull last 6 PL results 04/02/17: Hull 2 - 0 Liv - W 01/02/17: Man Utd 0 - 0 Hull D 22/01/17: Chelsea 2 - 0 Hull L 14/01/17: Hull 3 - 1 Bournemouth - W 02/01/17: WBA 3 - 1 Hull - L 30/12/16: Hull 2 - 2 Everton - D
Form in last 6 games Points: 8 (DLWLDW) Goals Scored: 8 Goals Against: 8
Analysis 3 games against teams in the league's top 6 threatened to make Marco Silva's start to his Hull career very difficult. However, 4 points form a possible 9 against Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea and 2 clean sheets against Liverpool and United was a highly respectable set of results. Combined with the 3 - 1 win over Bournemouth and Hull have collected 7 points from a possible 12 since the Portugese took charge.
Arsenal vs Hull
It seems to be an all too familiar story for Arsenal fans that, come February, their title challenge will vanish, a top four finish is deemed satisfactory and the Gunners will have had a successful season. It is fair to suggest, however, that a side of Arsenal's quality has vastly underachieved in the Premier League since their last title, when they went the entire 2003/04 season unbeaten.
In their last six games, Arsenal have had more possession than all of the sides that they have faced. They have also scored the joint-second highest number of goals in that period (13), 聽had the second highest number of shots on goal (103) and the third highest shots on target (35). They have, however, faced the fourth highest amount of shots on target against them (32) and teams can punish their poor finishing, as Chelsea and Watford proved.
Since Marco Silva's appointment Hull have been more difficult to break down and their valiant two-leg EFL Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United combined, with just one league defeat under the former Olympiacos manager, has been cause for optimism for the Tigers. Nevertheless, they remain in the relegation zone and need to continue to pick up points to avoid the drop.
Hull have not beaten Arsenal in their last five games and if Arsenal's unlikely title challenge is to be revived then they will need to bounce back and win comfortably to convince not only their fans they can win the league, but to show others in the league that they should be taken seriously for the remainder of the season.
Prediction: Arsenal 3 - 0 Hull
