Paparazzi
The paparazzi didn’t usually bother Alex.
And he liked to play up for his fans.
But when they invaded his private space.
He got angry.
Alex figured it was time to move. He could afford a nicer home now - one with a swimming pool.
He invited Venessa over to show her.
But then Alex had to go to an audition, leaving Venessa to amuse herself.
She didn’t seem to mind. Perhaps she liked the peace and quiet after living with the Bailey-Moon family.
Alex's audition was successful and his next gig was a ‘singing in the rain’ type production.
When next Alex met Venessa, she appeared to have put on weight.
Aha. An interesting development.

Progressing
Alex was getting some meatier roles. He did his first costume drama, playing alongside global superstar, Judith Ward.
By now, Alex believed he’d earned a holiday and invited Venessa to go with him to Sulani.
He couldn’t avoid the fans though (although there were few here) and Venessa wasn’t impressed that he pandered to them by signing an autograph.
Now it was time to relax.
Alex had no idea where Venessa had got to but he hoped she was enjoying herself.
All that swimming made him hungry.
On his return, Alex realised he could now go to the hottest spot in town, and sat to eat caviar, away from fans and paparazzi.
However, before he could relax further, Octavia Moon told him of a talent show in Oasis Springs. He went along and played his guitar.
He hung out with the stars.
Alex didn’t think much of Thorne Bailey’s performance. Supposedly a celebrity musician but he sounded dreadful.
After most people had gone, Alex stayed on for a bit.
But then it got tiresome so he went home. He heard nothing more about the talent show.

Promotion
After a few more gigs, Alex became a Rising Star.
He was finally getting some notice, even if it was only one or two adoring fans.
He was getting more followers on social media and uploading videos.
He visited Venessa at the mansion on the hill.
One day, he hoped to be able to afford to live in such a place.
He and Venessa finally got to act together,
and had to do a romantic scene.
This triggered some feelings for Alex he didn’t realise he had.
Alex’s first kiss. Later he had his first ever woohoo.
Alex changed agencies and got better paid gigs.
Then what seemed to be a breakthrough - he made it to B-lister! Now he had more than one or two fans.
Now the paparazzi wanted to photograph him.
Others assured him that he would soon get sick of them, but for now he loved the attention.
(That’s a fat Dustin Broke in the hat, also a B-lister.)
Alex was very happy.

Starting out
Alex Berg moved to Del Sol Valley to fulfil his dream of becoming a world-famous actor. He didn’t have much money so he moved in with Venessa Jeong, another Sim wanting a taste of stardom.
He got himself signed up with an agency, worked on a few skills and had his first audition for a commercial.
He had to dress up as a pirate,
to advertise mundane products.
But it was a start. He bought a guitar and practised and practised. He figured he could earn small change busking while waiting for gigs.
He seemed popular, which gave him hope, so he headed over to the only accessible club in town, Orchid a go-go.
He got excited to see paparazzi shooting pictures, but they were focussed on celebrity Thorne Bailey. Everyone ignored his efforts. Oh well.
He and Venessa decided to do a romantic street performance,
which got very little attention. Venessa got quite upset and was depressed. Alex couldn’t handle her depression. It was ruining his ambitions, so they decided to split and Venessa wangled herself a stay in Thorne’s mansion! Alex could now concentrate on getting more gigs and upskilling.
He did several commercials, and was starting to get to know people on set.
He became a Notable Newcomer, but still didn’t get the attention he wanted. In the meantime, he thought some existing celebrities were pretty dumb.
He had a long way to go
