Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

The osprey is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm in length and 180 cm across the wings. The osprey tolerates a wide variety of habitats, nesting in any location near a body of water providing an adequate food supply. It is found on all continents except Antarctica, although in South America it occurs only as a non-breeding migrant. The osprey’s diet consists almost exclusively of fish. It possesses specialised physical characteristics and exhibits unique behaviour to assist in hunting and catching prey.

Blake’s a lonely author who’s just moved out on her own for the first time in years. When an old friend recommends that she should try to liven up her dreary apartment a bit, a trip to the local greenhouse didn’t seem like too much of a bad idea.

Blake just didn’t expect to fall for the cute blonde horticulturist that owned the place.

Or after a visit to a greenhouse, Blake finds that maybe a new houseplant isn’t the only thing that’s going to be brightening up her life.

Every year, the small town of Patch holds a festival to celebrate the coming of winter, complete with fair games, ice sculpting, and a baking competition.

Yang has enough on her mind with the upcoming festivities, but with Ruby bringing someone home for the first time, the topic of romance is all the family can talk about. Seeing that the only person she's been interested in lately seems to be none other than Blake Belladonna, her vague acquaintance and baking rival, love isn’t really in Yang’s future right now.

That is, until she gets stuck in the community center with her overnight.
