In shadow of the tomb raider there’s a pit where the people of Paititi throw prisoners/undesirables and their blood drips to the bottom (presumably). Then there’s this cave where you have to arrange some ducts such that a flammable red liquid flows into the correct holes to open a door. It’s not explicitly blood 🩸 but the implication is there. The whole thing has a similar feel to the D4 trailer cinematic/ D3 temple of blood promo where the scholar is made to bleed into some grooves to open a door then summon lilith.

The third image with Lara hanging contains part of the "blood" mechanism. Also it shows an upside down pyramid, a huge motif in games with underground/secret societies (for hopefully obvious reasons).

there’s a whole subplot at castle Dimitrescu about how they use the villagers’ blood to make wine but that’s a niche topic so I haven’t found any pics/gifs of that yet.

Also, the sisters are so pretty. It almost seems like the Dimitrescus are a normal family reacting appropriately to a home invader.

In all seriousness however, this game has one of the best aesthetics in video game history. House of Ashes is up there too

instead of shelling out 70 dollars for the new Silent Hill 2 remake, consider playing the original masterpiece for free on PC.

installing the game is incredibly easy even for the least computer-savvy people.

no matter your PC specs, you can play it. the game was designed to run on 2002 hardware. there is a 99% chance the game will run on your build.

the original Silent Hill 2 is abandonware, so you need not worry about the ethics of piracy.

after you install the game, be sure to patch it to turn it into the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition.

the Enhanced Edition will let it run on modern builds and vastly improve the framerate and graphics.

you don't need to have any prior knowledge of computers to patch the game. follow the very easy instructions on the website. the game will essentially patch itself.
