I really hope if there’s a second season that Charles starts to subconsciously be handsy with Edwin. Like he stands a lot closer to him, when he whispers to him he does it close to his ear. And Edwin is going insane wondering why he’s doing it because he’s still his normal self, telling himself he’s reading into it. But everyone else can tell that Charles is getting more handsy and is just waiting to see if either of them realise it.

weird thought of the day:
You don’t need to “do work” in order to be deserving of love. We deserve love because we are human, we exist, we were made to need love and connection. This hyper individualistic culture that says “do this or else you MAY NOT access human connection” is just so fucked to me.
Anyway, I don’t know even know how to unpack why the “work on yourself” rhetoric enrages me so much. I believe in self care and self exploration and all. But “do work” before you can love? Maybe it pisses me off because it’s so deeply intertwined with capitalism? Maybe it angers me because of the absurd idea that we will somehow ever be completely healed from our wounds? (We won’t, by the way- life is just about managing the best we can). Maybe it enrages me because it’s the idea that broken things are unlovable, but almost all of us are broken in some way. Of course a consumerist culture would think that.
I guess what I’m saying is, don’t feel like you have to lock yourself away until you reach some imaginary point where you’ll be worthy of love. You’re already worthy, with all of your sharp edges, your hurts, your fears. You will constantly be doing your best to unlearn and manage those as you live your life, but you are very much worthy of being loved right now. Maybe being loved will help you see that it wasn’t your fault you were hurt— the world just fucking sucks.
