WARNING!!! ALL DISCORD SERVER TEMPLATE MAKERS, PLEASE READ!!!

discord's newest change has now made it so that your discord username (not your display name) will be plastered on the server template for all to see.

previously, what was shown was the first part of your discord name without the number variants that come after it, giving you some sense of privacy when posting your templates. aka, it looked like this. this is a new account i've made to store my rp templates, which still uses the numeric code indicator thingy.

NOW, that line of text where my display name for this new account was PREVIOUSLY my discord username (which was updated with the format change), as my main account used to be the one to own the template before i took it offline when i noticed. now obviously, for privacy reasons, this is a shitty format!

i highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest making an alternative account for your discord server templates that you don't mind having the username of be more public than your main account.

a lot of us use discord frequently and i do feel as though for quite a people, this specific change and action is akin to like ... putting someone's public phone number out in the open. we've all already heard the safety concerns with this update, but this particular one really scares me as a server template creator as that is, imho, not something that should be connected to your damn username when you just legit do not know who's gonna stumble across it.

i haven't seen any psas about it so my apologies if this has already been said but pls!!! pls pls pls protect your privacy on the internet besties, i get that's an old person thing to say but pls. internet safety is so real.

ace stared at her in amusement, a cheerful smile playing on his lips all the while. “i get the feeling you’re not buying what i’m selling.” he joked as he freely allowed her to examine his face. there were only minor injuries; one’s he’d sustained from a slip up in the ring. “i think i could gladly take anything you swing my way.” he replied, oozing charm. “wouldn’t mind if you held my hand through it though. just in case.”

“uh uh, i don’t think so. you’re not getting off that easily.” yasmin was quick to fire back. she was a relentless one and curious by nature. hence, she wasn’t about to back down without receiving all of the juicy details from him. “i mean, you’re right about other guys fantasizing about me.” she began with a toss of her long brown hair. “but that doesn’t mean i don’t want to know how yours went, or what it means.”

keith bit back a smirk, fully immersed in this flirty back and forth they had going on there. “that would depend on how the time would be spent there. it’s fair to note that i’m wide awake now.”

“i guess the weather can put a little bit of a dampener on things. can’t say i ever minded the rain though.” sometimes he found it oddly peaceful - mostly because he could go for walks on paths that were mostly empty because most had chosen to stay inside to escape the weather.  and peace was hard to come by when he was younger. “wouldn’t call it nice, just what feels right you know? three of us were born together and the fourth came along not that long after, it was us against the world when we were younger.” mostly because their parents - but especially their father - paid them little mind. all they had to rely on was each other - and he knew if one of them needed the others, they’d come running no questions asked. “why milan? i always find it sort of fascinating to know why people pick their dream place to visit. if nothing else… it might make you decide you want to go and see what the fuss is about as well.”

“i just can’t vibe with anything that’s dull and dreary. plus, that kind of weather does a number on my hair.” as well as her makeup and sense of style but she figured he got the gist without her having to drone on about all of the details. yasmin furrowed her brows together in thought as he continued. “wait, what do you mean you were born together? are you triplets?” yasmin couldn’t say that she had ever met a triplet before. the odds of that were comparable with finding a four leafed clover. hence, she had lots of questions. nevertheless, she opted to give him the chance to explain at his own pace instead of bombarding him with questions. “well for starters, italy is gorgeous. there’s so many beautiful things to see and explore. milan is particularly enticing to me for being the fashion capital of the world.” she explained. “it would be a dream to go on a shopping spree there. i mean, i could only imagine the cute things i could find there. might even snag me a hot italian along the way.”

We don’t normally do recordings since John likes to change the lyrics based on each show but I think this will be great. Plus we can make some consistent money which will be extra great. The only issue is when the fame will go to my head, because it most likely will. I’m aiming to become impossible.”

“gotta keep up the appearances of you’re gonna be a star, right?” cleo lightheartedly jested. although it was safe to say that yaz didn’t really need any touching up. she was gorgeous as is. as the other continued, the brunette nodded along excitedly. “that all sounds like so much fun. i’m so thrilled for you!” she screeched with an elated clap of her hands. “even the fame getting to your head part. diva or not, just don’t for get about the little people who adore you—aka me.”

“no?” antonio was pretty set on keith for right now. the other seemed to enjoy his time with him just as much and he was thrilled that things were working so well. “mm, we’ll see then.” he chuckled and opened the door for the other man. he closed it behind them and then climbed into the driver’s seat. “i hope you’re hungry because i certainly am and we’re going to one of my personal favorites. i hope you’re in the mood for sushi.”

“no.” keith reassured with a playful wink. he was doing his best to take this little experiment seriously—deep down he was genuinely invested—but that didn’t change his lighthearted persona. one thing about keith was that even when he wanted to take something seriously, it was impossible for him to be serious. the sleek haired man lifted his shoulders in a shrug as they made it to antonio’s car. “ooh, a gentleman.” he teased when antonio opened the door for him before settling in as then other eventually did the same. “you can never go wrong with sushi so i’m eager to see what makes this place your favorite. i mean, it must be pretty special of you like it so much.”

“nah, you just do that when i’m not around, right?” harley teased, lowering his finger from dario’s chest, to instead toy with the fabric at the bottom of his shirt. “i’m gonna come back early one weekend, and see you dancing around here in my calvin klein’s, i just know it.” the scenario he’d described had started out as a joke, but admittedly, the mental image wasn’t awful. dario did look good in his clothes, certainly more than he was about to concede to. not if it meant being labeled as jealous. “please. which one of us gets more use out of that sock on the door? i’ve got nothing to be jealous of, babe.” 

darío simply shook his head at harley in an ‘oh you’ manner as they chuckled in amusement, gaze following the finger toying with his shirt. “you know, it hadn’t really crossed my mind before. but now that you mentioned that it’s the name brand shit then i might just have to help you break ‘em in.” they teased with a wink. there was a fine line between jesting and flirting and dario might’ve just crossed it. “your body count has nothing to do with it, my dear pal. you can smash as many people as you like but that doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to match this level of finesse.” there was a dramatic gesture to himself at the end for a goofy flare of emphasis. “even if it did, i’m sorry to say that you’re still short a couple bodies.”

“because you’re annoying and you take things too lightly.” emir widened his eyes and grimaced, a mocking gesture like a little child that felt accused of something he didn’t want admit he was doing. maybe he was freaking out, possibly overreacting even, but what could he do? damned his soul for caring. he walked to his bathroom to get a first aid kit he had laying around there, confident he’d find something useful, at least to disinfect her wounds, and then straight to the freeze to get a pack of frozen vegetables. “here, put this on your mug.” his annoyance seemed to refuse to wash away, a thing that reflected in his words. he sat down at her side and put the first aid kit on the small coffee table that faced his couch. “doesn’t matter if i’ve seen worse, esra! it doesn’t get easier.” he admitted.  

“i’m not taking things too lightly, you’re just being overdramatic. i mean, it’s not even that bad.” esra scoffed out, clearly annoyed by the bickering. while combative by nature, she wasn’t in the mood to verbally fight after having just come back from a physical one. nevertheless, she wouldn’t back down. with a sigh, the slender female slumped back in her seat while emir disappeared for what she believed to be something to treat her injury. she couldn’t help but to chortle when he returned with a bag of frozen peas. “just what the doctor ordered.” she slipped through a giggle as she did as she was told and held it to her face. a sigh of relief escaped her as the cold helped soothe her pain. at his admission, another sigh escaped her. “okay, fine. i’ll stop coming around when i’m even the slightest bit injured. does that settle everything?”
