After 10 years of craving it, I now present to you... the triple pickle cream pie!

I haven't thought about it for a long time, but then I learned recently that a (terrible) recipe for a pickle cheesecake exists, and I was reminded of the pie in WOY that looked impossibly good to me, and thought if I could make an actually good pickle pie. Two weeks ago I finally got started, and now here we are.

I found a recipe for cucumber-lime pie and mixed it with cream pie instructions.

I made it "triple" by putting pickle in the filling (plain cucumber), pickle in the cream (sour-- not salty-- pickle juice and a TON more sugar mixed in), and pickles on the side (Japanese sour ones just as removable garnish).

Then I used a graham-cracker pie crust because looking at the pies in the show for some reason always made me nostalgic for those Hershey's sundae pies you could get in slices at certain restaurants-- and they both work better once frozen.

I also made the wave pattern with a rubber spatula.

I had two different people try it and they said it was honestly not bad! (I thought it tasted pretty alright.)

Anyway, it's not perfect, but I'm sure you can all try and experiment with it yourself if you're ambitious and hungry for it enough, haha.

Sorry for the varying lighting on the pictures, the kitchen lights bleached the irl colors on-camera and I had to retouch most of them, hence the mild saturation.

Starfall is a weather effect in Hello Kitty Island Adventure where stars rain down from the clouds. It looks so pretty so seemed fitting for these two ⭐

I never understood why their trauma was treated as jokes when catra gets her trauma treatment with absolute seriousness.

Entrapta never confronted catra for betraying and shocking her, her time at beast island gets played for jokes.

Wrong hordak gets treated like a complete joke, his trauma treated as comedy then proper trauma.

Hordak trauma gets overshadowed and mocked when Catra took his crystal, the scene treats it like a badass moment when I see it as catra being ablest since hordak is a disabled character yet his trauma with his disability doesn’t fully get taken seriously and gets used against him so many times.

How is that fair? I love the show but that’s my biggest problem, the favoritism is so obvious in show and fandom.

It's a fitting line because 1. it describes his clone army and 2. as a bible quote, it fits Horde Prime's space catholic church vibe perfectly!

My profile picture? There’s a pretty interesting story behind it. 

Back in November of 2016, when the lack of fairness in Disney XD’s schedule became more severe and more obvious (and it still is, too), there was a SaveWOY picnic taking place in Griffith Park. Believe it or not, I was the only fanboy there. Some of the fans brought their own goodies - I brought carrots and fruit punch Hi-C drinks.

We also got to sign a nice big banner to mark the occasion. See if you can recognize the other fans/artists.

During the picnic, one of the fans had a set of felt-made antenna toppers shaped like Wander’s hat, and she gave me one as a souvenir. It makes a good pen topper, too - I put it in an orange one and it almost looked like Wander! Also, when I brought it with me to the D23 expo in 2017, about three other people recognized my interest in WOY. It was a pleasant day.
