Mineral are invested of important energy; they are the link between human dimension and nature. Jewels creations are the intermediary between earthly reality and enchanted world, made of vibrating energy. The extreme high tactility of these sculptural adornments is connected to a desire to represent natural surfaces. Every jewel is an exclusive tale of a complex and articulated world. Each jewel is hand-crafted and is a unique and unrepeatable object gifted with strength and energy. ORIGO the basic principle for which something originates, the beginning of life, the start of the Universe, the Source. Origin is the leitmotif of the whole Collection, inspired from Mother Nature’s most intense and essential form. In this representation trees’s cortex turns into leather, the gems into buds , sprouts and shoots, tangled roots, to adorn, praising powerful Mother Earth. HOT IRON project | 2011
The "HOT IRON" project, born from the cooperation between creative designer Daniela Boni and photographer Elisa Perotti, aims at conveying a sense of "balance" with photographic images inspiring beauty.
The contrast of hardness and lightness harmoniously coexist within the chosen materials. The lines intersect, collide and meet only to be released in the boundary between light and form.
The three core elements of the photographic medium - body, light and shape – are expressed with sharp lines and create the meaning and beauty of Daniela's and Elisa’s vision.
The Circle Cycle series represents the perfection, completeness and unity of what isn’t cut or broken: The Circle, a traditional symbol of what has no beginning and no end, formed by one line whose ends are reunited only to dissolve into one another.
The nude is nothing more than a silent support. Though still physical, it allows the viewer an experience of the contrasting physicality. All the while, he/she remains a quiet witness of the scene represented.
The meeting between the two feminine artists has allowed them to express a perfect teamwork through images. They are creating consistency and harmony between the chosen elements. It becomes a flowing exchange between subject, object and observer, where in the end, as Daniela says "the circle closes".
The creations were made thanks to the willingness and ability of female friends to get involved and share the project.
Daniela Boni
has been working with iron as a medium for over 15 years.
Her research has led her to the unique ability to express the lightness of this metal, developing harmonious shapes, which at the same time remain imposing in both their structure and meaning.
The "circle" is often present in Daniela’s work.
EXHIBITIONS: 2002 “Percezioni” Adelinquere Arte contemporanea Torino - 2005 “Tocca Ferro “Galleria Catartica Torino -2005 “Planetarium with Rocket”, Palazzo Conti Botton Castellamonte, “Planetarium with Rocket” has been acquired by theMIAAO (International Museum of Applied Arts Today), of Turin, where it is permanently exhibited.
Elisa Perotti
Fascinated by photography, she completed her studies at the Cultural Heritage Faculty of Viterbo, with a thesis on History of Photography, tutored by the art critic Augusto Pieroni.
After moving to Turin, she made a social reportage in the field of motor impairment and mental disabilities in several centers and associations.
She completed her studies at the John Kaverdash Academy in Milan, also working with fashion photography and still life.
