Green-Eyed Monster by Fairyringsandwings
Tumblr media
Summary: During a training mission, Qimir and Osha are captured by a bounty hunter. Qimir is less than pleased when the bounty hunter takes an interest in his apprentice.
Snippet:
"Afraid the bounty on your heads is wanted dead or deader," The Bounty Hunter says, his voice distorted through his voice modulator. "But before I let my friend here have his dinner, I gotta ask something. What's a pretty girl like you doing with a guy like—" he gestures broadly to Qimir, "—that. Surely the pickings aren't that slim?"
Qimir resists the urge to sigh. He could already feel his hackles rising, as they always did whenever some hopeless fool made their attraction to his apprentice known.
A far too common occurrence.
He can't fault Osha's suitors for taking their shot—he certainly did, often enough—and although it was entertaining watching her inevitably reject each one, seeing her would-be lovers stumble over themselves to impress her was mortifying.
The poorly written poetry. The ear-aching singing at bars and taverns. The dozens of flowers that triggered Osha's allergies, reducing her to a sniffling, sneezing mess. The awful pick-up lines that had Qimir physically recoiling.
What truly made it unbearable was how their attempts to capture Osha's heart unsettled the darkness within him, awakening the slumbering green-eyed beast that lurked there. A greedy, wretched thing that lashed out at anyone that stood in the way of what it wanted. A creature of suspicion and endless want. That darkness had frightened even the dauntless Master Vernestra, the closest thing he had ever had to a mother.

the only way to get what you want is to be brave enough to move towards it. if there is a willingness to be momentarily uncomfortable in order to live the life that calls from your heart then fear loses much of its claim over you and your decisions

oh oh OH. the quiet looks of reserved indignation between natalie and milchick. the mutual understanding of racism, as Lumon's two Black employees, conveyed so subtly and realistically in a few glances. This place is not for them. It will never be for them. the highest honour they as Black Lumon employees can reach is their Black faces photoshopped onto a white man's story. Even the reward for their hard work is a crass false representation that only serves to underscore a white man's power, and remind them they exist to serve that power. Hats off to Sydney Cole Alexander and Tramell Tillman for such fantastic, subtle and moving work in this episode and perfectly portraying the downlow solidarity between Black people and people of colour in predominantly white workplaces.

I’m just going to repost GIFs of the Andor Season 2 trailer because the trailer itself was lacking.

In September 1940, in response to pressure from Black leaders inside and outside the administration, including William Hastie and Mary McLeod Bethune, the Army announced its Air Corps would begin training Black pilots. In January 1941, a flight training facility for Black airmen was established at Alabama’s Tuskegee Institute. Pilots who trained there formed the all-Black 332nd Fighter Group—which became popularly known as the “Tuskegee Airmen.”

Not Qimir avoiding eye contact with Osha knowing he was going to her place and would see her🙃Mae’s so cutely oblivious🥰
Acolyte Halloween Special part 1 🎃
A week before Halloween & there’s been reports of a series of m*rders in town. Osha doesn’t want that to ruin her spooky szn plans. A scary movie marathon seems just the thing to cheer her friends up. ☕️🔪🩸

"I have a message for people who say, 'Oh there's no point in calling my Republican representative. He doesn't listen, so it doesn't matter.' For the first few years that I was in office, Republicans flooded my phones. Do you think they really thought they were going to change my mind? No. But they constantly and consistently. Republicans flood the phones far more than people who are not Republicans flood the phones. And it does have an effect, because you really start to understand the strength and the scale of what you are up against. Republicans need to get that message too, because it skews our whole environment to the right when the constant pressure come from one place. Like, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but people who watch Fox News all day and right-wing media all day call their members of Congress, and they tend to call members far more, and far more consistently and regularly than everybody else does. And that really matters because phone calls are one of the biggest ways that members measure, not just it's not just numbers, it's how they measure enthusiasm, it's how they measure how people how much they are mobilizing around a certain issue and the more they see them mobilizing the more careful they will be in terms of not making those people more upset. And they will get pressured into acting, or hedging, what have you. So hop on 5 Calls, even the score, because this needs to be regular."
