I hope this message reaches you in moments of peace and reassurance. Today I am writing to you from the heart of a war-torn land where dreams are shattered and lives are changed forever. My name is Ibrahim, 27 years old from Gaza City, Palestine, the eldest of my parents, and this is my family. I have three brothers, three sisters, my brother’s wife and his two children. I am writing this appeal in the hope of saving my family from the incomprehensible horrors that have been happening in Gaza since October.

I was an engineering student, but the ongoing war has shattered my life, my studies, and most tragically, my family’s future.

On October 12, 2023, our house was bombed and completely destroyed. Three of our relatives were killed in the attack. My family of 12 - my parents, my brothers, and my brother’s children - barely escaped with our lives. Since then, we have been displaced several times, fleeing from one place to another under the constant threat of bombing. We have lost everything: our home, our possessions, and the most basic necessities of life.

We are now in Deir al-Balah, living in unbearable conditions, without proper shelter from the winter cold. We have no bedding or blankets to keep warm. Food is scarce and expensive when available. An 11-pound bag of flour costs $350. My father has severe back problems, my mother needs surgery for kidney stones, and the children are sick because of the poor living conditions.

Our fishing boats – our family’s only source of income – were destroyed in the war. Now we have nothing left to rebuild our lives.

Urgent help is needed to save our lives and our families to get out of the war to safety and to have an urgent surgery for my mother and buy medicines for my father. 😥✋⛔

We are also suffering from famine. 😢

UPDATE!!!!

I will be focusing my donation efforts towards larger scale Gazan aid like food kitchens and the like and only take on a few individual fundraisers at a time! I will continue to support Palestine with all my heart but the pressure of my donations not being enough and constantly being asked for more recently has gotten me to the point where I don't feel it is a good idea for me to continue doing things the way I have been. I will not promise any more of my paychecks to more than 3 to 4 individual fundraisers at a time (I will start posting regular updates on that here and will inform people who dm me wether I can or cannot when asked) and will not respond to dms asking for money even after I have said no. I understand it's selfish but I can't deal with all of that when I'm only a 19yr old freshman in college. We have become unable to buy the most basic means of life due to the extreme high prices

We ran out of cooking gas a week ago, and the price of a gas cylinder is about 480 shekels (120 euros), and there is no flour, the price of a bag is approximately (150 euros), there is no salt - a kilo of salt is approximately (5€) - without sugar - a kilo of sugar (9 €).

I want to buy cleaning supplies such as:

-1 A bottle of shampoo is 80 shekels (20 euros).

-2 kilos of washing powder, 140 shekels (36€).

-3 A bottle of dishwashing liquid, 50 shekels (13 euros).

Not to mention the prices of vegetables and fruits, which have become a dream for my children 😴😭

For example:

A kilo of apples is (15€), a kilo of bananas is (20€), a kilo of cucumbers is (12€), a kilo of tomatoes is (30€), and a kilo of potatoes is (25€).

I am disappointed 💔, because we were not able to collect the required amount of money that we urgently need to buy some very necessary supplies, and now unfortunately the prices have doubled.💔
