I had a dream that Matthew Lillard was trying to murder me... honestly, it was rather frightening. This went on for a while before I got ahold of the forearm-length knife at some point. He then wants me to attempt to murder him. But when I try, he keeps giving me tips on how to murder him better. Like I'll have been trying to stab him, he'll dodge and then stop me and explain how I could've been scarier and more convincing. At this point, my dream self is confused as to whether we are only pretending to murder each other or not.

Attention! This is My Formal Petition to Change the Word "Control" to "Influence" on Cuphead's Talent Description on the IM Wiki!!!

I have made a comic to illustrate the difference.

The difference is this: Control makes the animal do what you want. Influence makes the animal want to do what you want. A subtle yet ultimately important distinction.

[This post is partly for lols, but I do actually think the term "influence" suits his talent better. In fairness, maybe he really can control animals in every sense of the word and it's not been shown yet. I suppose he could also have both. But this is just based on what I know, so ...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I also think influence suits his tender-hearted nature toward animals better, but that's just my opinion.)]

Hiatus is Over!!!

My hiatus is officially over! Please note that doesn't mean I'm going to start posting as much as I did back then again. It just means I'm not actively avoiding posting here any longer. I'm SO much busier these days, so I have to pick and choose what I spend my limited art time on and Inky Mystery isn't always at the top of that list anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still like IM a bunch. I just can't/don't focus on it as much as I used to. On that note, thanks for sticking around and entertaining my mindless rambling. I'll be sure to do it some more!...just not as much as I used to :) I hope that's okay <:)

That was AMAZING! That had to be one of the most well-written chapters so far. TAP, you've done it again 👏😌. A million kudos.

That ending scene was everything for me...the emotions, the setting, his internal monologue, the "cheers". Fantastic! It was perfect.

I just...I just care about these guys so much.

I actually agree with you, haha. I remember thinking the same thing after I posted it. I don't remember exactly why it ended up that way. It was either the stock image I used cut off part of the knife, or there was a watermark in the way. So, I reshaped the knife around the problem. Looking back, I probably could've made it look better, but I think it's funny this way.

I saw Adrien’s post on Instagram and thought this was fitting. I couldn’t help myself, I had too.
