Hello all! I know it’s been SOOO long since I’ve posted on here but that’s because I have found that instagram is a better platform for me and I really enjoy taking pictures of my food and posting it there, I also write about things in the descriptions, so it’s pretty similar to what I had going on here. Please go and follow my journey there! Trying to get to 196 by July 9th! Check it out and see if I hit my goal! I had gotten down to 194 - the lowest since I started but then I gained about 10-15lbs back and have already lost about 7 of it but it’s been hard. Vacations and all that really took over but I’m back on track. Wish m luck!

I’m bending over backwards for people with breast cancer! Support me and Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the money I raise will allow LBBC to continue to connect people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support. LBBC’s Reach & Raise is one of the largest charity yoga events in the country and provides people in the Philadelphia area and around the country who have been affected by breast cancer with programs and services to help them through their diagnosis and treatment. Last year LBBC reached more than 500,000 people – together, we can help them reach even more! Any small amount will help! Thank you :)

it got better, it always does <3
praying for a better day tomorrow, a better mindset, a better feeling body, i just can’t focus on anything today except the pain i’m in and the pain in my heart. serious PMS is so awful. it’s so hard for me to believe myself when i know that it’s going to be okay. it just feels like i’m always going to feel like this. like this is it. id rather die than finish this day. but gotta keep trucking bc how stupid would it be if i literally died because of a shitty day. i hate everything, but i hope tomorrow i love it all.

for the first time in over 10 years
I bought not one but TWO bikini’s for this summer! I always used to say that my main goal was to just feel comfortable in a bikini, and after losing some weight and going through a major mind transformation, i finally built up the courage to buy one. My body is still not exactly where I would like it to be, but I love it all the same. I am FINALLY starting to understand the true concept of self love. Of wanting to nourish your body with healthy foods and occasionally feed your soul with foods you love. I found hot power yoga which I truly love. I love going to class, I love how I feel when I’m finished, I love how clear my mind is on the mat. I just love it. I really want to try harder to get in 6 days a week and also work on my meditating. I really truly believe I am growing into a better person...I’ve been waiting for this my whole life. I finally feel like I have purpose.

Wake up. Try not to think about last night. Fuck, you thought about last night. Go back to sleep. Go back to sleep because you can’t really bear to be you right now. Wake up. It’s still daytime. Wake up. Think of a thousand reasons to stay in bed. All of them are good ones. Wake up. Wake. Up. Stagger to the bathroom. Look in the mirror. Oh, so that’s what death looks like. Don’t you dare go back to bed. Fight the urge to wear yesterday’s jeans off the floor. Paste on a smile. Walk out the door. Left foot. Right foot. One over the other. Why did you get out of bed today? You can’t remember. No, don’t look at the pretty girl - you look like shit today. Finish work with even less of a soul than you woke up with. Trudge home. Everything hurts. Oh, look, you have a bed. Hello, dear friend. Yes, yes, she’s missed you too. Try not to think about tomorrow. Fuck, you thought about tomorrow. Have you even gotten out of bed today? Wake up. Wake up.

this is how i feel today...unfortunately :(

So Friday morning it was snowing? Weird, it’s Tuesday and 73 degrees out now, lol. global warming. Anyway, for breakfast I sat and watched the snow and enjoyed my tea and the rest of my blueberry cinnamon flax cereal with almond milk and extra blueberries. For lunch I had cauliflower soup and for snack I had some pineapples. For dinner I ordered out - whoops. It was SO delish tho. Shrimp burrito with sour cream, pico, lettuce, black beans, and a little rice and then a chicken tamale. I may have had some other snacks I don’t really remember. But I had an hour long hot yoga class that I destroyed! Felt good.
Saturday I went to the Philadelphia flower show with my best girl friends! It was really nice. All three of them aren’t really close but they’re my best friend from college, my best friend from elementary and middle school and my best friend from high school and when we all get together it’s so fun! Glad I surround myself with great people who have respect for each other and can have fun together. Anyway, I had a panini that morning at like 4am when I went to breakfast with Kevin...turkey honey mustard tomatoes cheese and sweet potato fries on the side, yum. Later I made guac and got some hummus and chips for the girls and had lots of wine. At the flower show I had loaded potato skins, whoops! But i shared them with the girls so it wasn’t too bad. Then we went out for Dim Sum after and it was amazing!!! Never had it before and now I’m obsessed. Sunday was your typical eat watch movies and veg out with Kevin. I ate a little too much tho. Two slices of sicilian pizza, a bunch of pita chips and guac, and sesame chicken with rice and coconut ice cream, ahhhh. Gotta really try not to go WAY overboard this weekend even though I have a bunch of eating things planned.
I think I decided I really just want to get down to 190. I am getting pretty comfortable with myself and my body is really transforming from doing so much yoga and it’s looking better. I got a bathing suit that I love and am trying another in a few days so..idk. weight loss is starting to not be as high on my list as before. going to really try to just focus on #yogaeverydamnday. One of my instructors from 40 days said she loves watching me practice because it’s so beautiful and one of the girls training to become a teacher said I should really look into teacher training! So maybe I will try next year, but for now I’m just really enjoying the process.

EEEK, sorry I’m so behind. Keeping up with this while trying to be productive is hard. Anyway, Thursday morning I went to an hour long hot yoga class. Then for breakfast I had a fruit protein smoothie. For lunch I had a banana and a veggie burger on a sandwich thin with spinach and dijon mustard. For snack I had an apple. For dinner I had garlic balsamic asparagus and cauliflower soup and then later since that was so small I snacked on blue corn tortilla chips, salsa, guac, and plain greek yogurt. For dessert later I had blueberry cinnamon flax oat cereal with almond milk...just a small mug full.

So Wednesday I went to yoga bright and early (530am!) even though I didn’t want to. I’m so happy I did! felt great after. It was funny I really don’t think I would have woken up but my phone fell on the floor during the night so I had to get out of bed to turn off the alarm haha so that woke me up. Anyway, after yoga for breakfast I had two eggs, half an avocado on flax wheat sandwich thins, and some pineapple and strawberries. Yum! Love love love when I have time to make a healthy hearty breakfast. For lunch I had a salad - it had some leftover chicken and water chestnuts from chicken lettuce wraps we ordered over the weekend, spinach, celery, zucchini, peppers, carrots, tomato, and some pecans in a sesame ginger sauce, yum! For dinner I got thai food with a friend, I had this yummy seafood coconut soup, the mussles in it were overcooked tho. Then for my entree I had this pan fried tilapia in a general tso’s sauce type thing, it was yummy but I wish I hadn’t ordered something fried. Anyway, later I snacked on some pineapple, blueberries, and strawberries. Had like 3 glasses of wine at dinner. I think I did fairly well for going out to eat.

EEEEK already having trouble keeping up! lol, going to try to improve on this! For breakfast Tuesday I had a protein smoothie with berries, banana, coconut water, vega vanilla protein, a little probiotic, and water. For lunch I had one of my favorite recipes from the fruit cleanse I did a few weeks ago. Avocado, tomato, peppers, lemon juice, jalepeno, cilantro, salt, and pepper. I ate it with a flatout wrap. For snack I had an apple. I made Kevin chicken enchiladas to have for dinner for Thursday and Friday (he works night shift) and I had a few bites while cooking those. Later for dinner I had baked sweet potato fries, a veggie burger on a whole wheat flax sandwich thin, and asparagus with garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar - yummmm. For dessert later I had cinnamon blueberry flax cereal with extra fresh blueberries and vanilla almond milk. For my workout I did an hour long hot power yoga class.
So I signed up for yoga march madness at my studio and basically I committed to 6-7 days of yoga a week, every day I go I get a star next to my name on the chart. The chart changes every week and if you don’t meet your goal (others signed up for 4-5 days a week) then you get eliminated. Those who make it to the end get entered into a raffle to win 50$ or 100$ and you get entered as many times as you went to class, so if I go 28 times, I will get 28 entries. I’ve been doing well even though it’s only the 3rd day! Lol this will definitely give me motivation to keep it up with yoga. Hopefully I can make it the whole month!
Happy Thursday ya’lllll

Hello! My first post back is here. Monday for breakfast I had a smoothie (not pictured) with half a banana, blueberries, strawberries, spinach, mango goodbelly probiotic drink, ice, and a little coconut water. For lunch I had a yummy salad with chicken, celery, carrots, yellow & green peppers, spinach, tomatoes, and zucchini (all the veg!). For snack I had an apple, and then before yoga I had a larabar. For dinner I had zoodles with homemade turkey meat sauce and parmesan cheese, a little mozzarella was mixed in there too. I only ate about half of what is pictured here. I had a sandwich thin with some vegan butter and herbs on it too. Then later I had two servings of organic flax oat blueberry cereal with vanilla almond milk. I feel like I should have only had one serving of the cereal and then the day would have been a complete success, but still, not bad.
I also did power hot yoga for 75 minutes. It’s march madness at my yoga studio! So I committed to try and do 6-7 days a week. Each day you go, you get another entry into the raffle to win a $100 gift card. I really wanted to take it up a notch with my health and fitness so this is going to help a ton, and the weather is getting nicer so hopefully I can get in some walks and runs too. Well, hope you’re all having a good day, happy Tuesday :)
