The Official “Log Off” Protest F.A.Q! 

The “Log Off” protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW. 

This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer.  

So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.

HALT!!! You have committed crimes against Skyrim and her people, what say you in your defense? I’ve recently”finished” my Whiterun Guard cosplay from Skyrim!! To be honest, I initially had hoped for it to be ready for Melbourne Supanova last year but it didn’t turn out too well. Hopefully this year it’ll get a better reaction.And yes, the chainmail is real. I spent a bloody long time making it (2 years), and it wasn’t even initially for this costume

Went to see the Last Jedi yesterday with @tralillian, this is my second attempt at cosplaying a Jedi, the last time I did this cosplay was when I went to see The Force Awakens.

Finally got some full body pictures of my NCR veteran ranger 2.0 cosplay from Fallout New Vegas. The body armour didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but then again, I made it overnight whilst living at uni. I might try redoing it again and fix the issue regarding the plate spacing. If anyone is wondering how I managed to make the plates move with my body, I hot glued the foam body plates to a grey t-shirt I bought.

Nearly two years ago. It's nearly been two years since I started working on this chainmail shirt. And it's still not finished. I only manage to make the shirt wearable today. Once the sleeves are done and the shirt is lengthened a bit, perhaps I'll be able to wear this in my local LARP game. If not, well, I have a new mail shirt for my medieval cosplays. 😊

Hey everyone! Yesterday I went to Oz Comic con as WWII Captain America with my friend @benevolentloki (shown here as their Lady Loki). I had an awesome time there and did manage to find someone cosplaying as Agent Carter! Totally was worth the effort of saving up the money to go to the con and the numerous injuries made during the creation of the cosplay.

“Who says Cosplay is unproductive?”

I come from a family who really disliked me cosplaying for a long time, saying it is “unproductive”.

My success in national competitions and event invites had started to change their minds. But what ultimately convinced them was… me helping fix shit around the house.

Today my dad’s shoe went all weird and crumbly. He was going to have to buy new shoes or new sole pads… But then I went and traced some foam, layered it and padded his shoe back up, for free.

My mum has weak finger joints. The doctors were going to charge her $200 to make her a brace. But I saw what the brace was like, and casted her one with Plasti-make, again for free. She had never struggled with her joint again.

I’d like to spread the message to parents out there: Cosplay is not unproductive. It is a form of creative problem solving. (How do make something work?)

Please encourage your kids to do something creative. If it’s making outfits from fictional characters… Then please let them. Watch them become jacks of all trades and develop their hands on and DIY skills.

What’s going on???

Hey everyone. You probably noticed I’ve been quiet for quite some time, well tbh I’ve been a bit busy working through some stuff. at the minute it’s mostly University and finding a job to pay for that and rent. But as of this minute I’m currently travelling interstate to undertake a day course in blacksmithing (introduction course, if you were wondering why it’s so short). I’ve also been trying to sort myself out in regards to Swordcraft (my warband leader’s forgot how long I’ve been with them so I’m still technically the lowest rank for now) and attempting to sort out a multitude of cosplays; WWII Captain America for Oz Comic Con, Joshua Graham from Fallout:New Vegas (possibly) for AMC Expo, Thor for Ragnarok (because my friend is going as Loki, because that’s literally their name now), and Boba Fett for the new Star Wars movie (because my sister told her class that I cosplay and now I have an entire year level at this local school hoping to see me as Boba Fett when I go to see the film) So my life is somewhat busy, as well as financially tight. But as soon as anything new or interesting happens, I’ll let all of you know as soon as I can.
