not only do i think my gay little headcanons would make the icarly reboot a lot better and more interesting i think the comedic potential is off the charts
first episode revolves around carly sam and freddie who have fallen out of touch over the years reconnecting as adults and carly and sam have a heart to heart where carlys like we were best friends what happened to us :( and sams like i know i know i just. i dont know i guess after all the years of basically being in love with you as kids i just needed some time to figure out my life outside of you
and carly is like wait you were in love with me?? youre gay?????
and sams like yeah?? i was super obvious about it dont tell me you never knew
and the rest of the episode is like carly having a crisis because she was the ONLY ONE who never realized her childhood best friend was gay and in love with her for several years
its fucking gold

Fandom as a whole is not “minor-friendly”
Nor should it be.
If you want to live in a “Children of the Corn”-style bubble of innocence and purity, well, to me, that’s a startling approach to adolescence, but every generation’s got to find its own way to reject the one before, so: do as you will. But you can’t bring the bubble to the party, kids. Fandom, established media-style fandom, was by and for adults before some of your parents were born now. You don’t get to show up and demand that everyone suddenly change their ways because you’re a minor and you want to enjoy the benefits of adult creative activity without the bits that make you uncomfortable. If you think you’re old enough to be roaming the Internet unsupervised, then you also think you’re old enough to be working out your limits by experience, like everybody else, like I did when I was underage and lying about it online. If you’re not old enough to be roaming the Internet unsupervised and you’re doing it anyway, then that’s on your parents, not on fandom.
If you were only reading fic rated G on AO3, if you had the various safe modes on other media enabled, you would be encountering very little disturbing material, anyway (at least in the crude way people tend to define “disturbing” these days; some of the most frankly horrifying art I have ever engaged with would have been rated PG at most under present systems, but none of that kind of work ever seems to draw your protests). In the end, what you really want is to be able to seek out the edges of your little world, but be able to blame other people when you don’t like what you find. Sorry. Adolescence is when you get to stop expecting others to pad your world for you and start experiencing the actual consequences of the risks you take, including feeling appalled and revolted at what other people think and feel.
Now, ironically, fandom’s actually a fairly good place for such risk-taking, as, for the most part, you control whether you engage and you can choose the level of your engagement. You can leave a site, blacklist something, stop reading an author, walk away from your computer. Are there actual people (as opposed to works of art, which cannot engage with you unless you engage with them) who will take advantage of you in fandom? Of course there are. Unfortunately, such people are everywhere. They will be there however “innocent” and “wholesome” the environment appears to be, superficially. That’s evil for you. There are abusers in elementary school. There are abusers in scout troops. There are abusers in houses of worship. Shutting down adult creative activity because you happen to be in the vicinity isn’t going to change any of that. It may help you avoid some of those icky feelings that you get when you think about sex (and you live in a rape culture, those feelings are actually understandable, even if your coping techniques are terrible), but no one, except maybe your parents, has a moral imperative to help you avoid those.
In the end, you’re not my kid and you’re not my intended audience. I’m under no obligation to imagine only healthy, wholesome relationships between people for your benefit. Until you’re old enough to understand that the world is not exclusively made up of people whose responsibility it is to protect you from your own decisions, yes, you’re too young for established media fandom. Fandom shouldn’t be “friendly” to you.

A very very late Team Flare conspiracy theory
this probably isn’t true and the format’s gonna be weird because i’m re-posting this from discord but here goes;
So guys I’m replaying Pokemon Y and I’m getting really really unsettling vibes from Team Flare like, other than the whole world destruction thing. It’s gonna sound a little weird, But, I think they’re using mind control on their grunts, and admins even, with a slim possibility on the scientists too, excluding Xerosic. I mean, the way the scientists sort of freak out and cling to their goggles when they lose is… unsettling… And to back this theory up, we see in post-game what Xerosic did to that girl. So what I imagine is Lysander takes the 5mil that his new members give him to join and pockets it, then sends them to Xerosic for ‘debriefing’. Whoever the grunts were are never heard from again after that by their loved ones. They get implants or something put into their brains, or it could be the eye wear, idk, but I know something is not right. But I think whenever the higher ups lose a fight they get shocked or something b/c look at what they do when they lose! it’s very suspicious!
Look at how Mable clutches her goggles, man! She’s not okay!! (and notice how the eyes flash like that too!)
It almost looks like Celosia is fainting (but she’s not b/c she says stuff after the battle) AND if you really look at Bryony’s head you can see it shake, almost like she’s holding back the pain?
As for Aliana,
it doesn’t necessarily look like she’s being shocked or anything, but who knows? How her visor lights up like that is a little odd.
I was gonna talk about how the admins react when they’re defeated, but I couldn’t find any gifs of their animations, though the female admin looks a little creepy when she’s defeated and the male one is pounding his head.
Y’all can accept this theory or not, it could make for a really neat AU I guess but whatever. I also might add to this later so if you’re interested keep an eye out!
But it’s just a theory
A GAME THEORY. i’m sorry

“Donald.”
The name slipped softly from pink lips, bare feet stepping from carpet to the cold wood of the outdoor balcony. She had heard him come home, but hadn’t seen him since. Hidden away with his guilt, cigarette smoke mixing with the stars as the blackness of night overtook the property. She knew there was more going on than she could ever know. Demons that this man faced, that he felt he had to fight alone. But nights like these…
Soft steps, and her arms slipped around his waist, head resting on his back where she could hear the stutter of his breathing as he inhaled more of that toxic smoke.
“Another hard night.” It wasn’t a question, a statement that passed her lips with certainty, she knew. Rarely did he distance himself these days, pull away from the carefully crafted faux normalcy of their life together. But here he was.
A bitter laugh rolled off of the man’s tongue, laced with a venom she heard many a time, but felt was foreign each one. Residual cruelty from a double life she knew little of. Even still, she knew enough.
“Y’ could say that, Princess.” One hand - the human one, of flesh and bone, moved to rest over her own, fingers tracing over the too-soft skin of a spoiled girl. “Gon’ catch cold out here ya know.”
A smile, half hearted, curled her features, face pressed briefly into his back. He was right - with bare feet and wet hair, she was destined for illness. “Don’t care, Donnie.” Softly spoken words, a murmur against his coat, eliciting a sigh from the man. “I’m not leaving you out here to brood all alone.”
Words met with silence, first. The distant sound of wind-chimes near the barn, sound of the staff cleaning inside. A long minute, until his cigarette was finished, pressed out in the crystalline ash tray.
“Why d’ you-” Words spoken softly, laced with frustration, but cut off by her own voice, still muffled by his coat.
“Care? Because I love you, Donald.”
“Why? ‘s rotten work, lovin’-” What, he asked himself. What was he? A monster, a villain, a cursed soul.
A rotten no good murderer.
( A child abuser, a kidnapper )
A reaver.
“-Me.” The sentance finished with lack of flare, cold fingers of his metal hand curling around the balcony railing, a tense grip, trying hard not to splinter the wood.
The response came softly, drifting past her lips in a murmur that could have easily been mistaken as a passing fairy, or a wind chime in the distance.
“Not to me.” Words spoken softly, followed by a pause before they were repeated, almost as if steeling her opinion, writing it in stone. “It isn’t rotten work to me. Not if it’s you, Donald.”
A reaver, a killer, a criminal. She knew the labels people would throw around at his name. Monster, they may say - but Shay had seen the kindness in a monster’s eyes. The love beating in his chest. A monster he may be - but if that were the case, then her love would be the sword that slay the beast.
“Now, come inside, I’ll get Cassidy to start some tea.”
Normalcy…
Or some faux illusion of it.
