This photo was submitted on May 26 2015. The sender says: “I met this lady at the gas station at the ‘meteor crater’ off the I-40 in northern Arizona. She told me that her husband wrote her love letters all the time. After he died she found this one he hadn’t given her yet among his things and got it tattooed.”

The letter reads: To My Beautiful Wife Michelle Never Lose your Courag, Never Lose your Hope. There is always a Way, I Will Love you honestly Truly and forever. Love Rudy

whenever i find a good world heritage post i do my best to carefully remove unnecessary "why is this so funny!!" or "i cant believe i found the original" reblog comments. sometimes it takes a bit of work digging back through the reblog graph to accomplish this but fine art restoration is tedious but important work

“Miniature topographies inside 200-gallon fish tanks, based on traditional landscape paintings. Keever fills the tanks with water once he’s sculpted and placed the miniatures, and colored lights and pigments create dense, atmospheric environments. He views his works as an evolution of the landscape tradition and deliberately acknowledges the conceptual artifice.”
