Plum jam is now made, ended up mixing 3 kinds of plums. If I can find some less expensive. I'll make more but $14 for 2 jars of jam is a bit steep. I could buy jars for less!

Exactly 💯!
I just hate the GD character. (The actor portraying him hack hole too)
Never thought there would be LI, I'd like less than Taylor. Somehow, they did it!
out of all the fandom discourse happening on 9-1-1, i think the most disturbing and bizarre for me is the very real insinuation/outright accusation from people that some fans are homophobic for not liking or vibing with buck’s current LI. it’s the most disingenuous “gotcha!” i’ve witnessed in a while. it is possible for everyone, including other queer people, to be homophobic. that is not up for debate or argument. anyone can be guilty of it even being a part of that demographic. what is not up for argument is the fact that it is NOT homophobic to simply not like a character or person’s personality. being queer does not exempt someone from criticism or disfavor unless it is rooted in discrimination for something out of their control, like being gay. this is rudimentary and the fact that there are otherwise intelligent people co-signing this rhetoric in an attempt to silence or invalidate dissenting opinions on a character is alarming to me. all of this is stemming from fans… not liking the current love interest. this isn’t new, except this time, it’s a gay white man that some fans don’t like for much of the same reasons the other LIs weren’t liked, NONE of which have to do with the sexuality of this LI. some people need to take a step back and evaluate why they feel the need to throw out an incorrect, but still entirely loaded term to disparage those that don’t agree with them.

Thoughts I've shared elsewhere, but I wanted to organize them in one post and maybe add to it.
-If Eddie comes out in season 8, I think there will be a conversation with Buck before it happens where he tells him that he admires his bravery for living in his truth.
-In response to Tommy saying that he's just trying to keep up with the pace Buck is setting in their relationship. I think it's very Buck to want to experiment. He has a lot of experience with women. A lot more than the average guy because he is a recovered sex addict. In the time he has with Tommy, which Tim has called a mentoring relationship in the past, I can see Buck experimenting with all the things that he liked women doing to him and even adding in things he never quite had the courage to ask for. I point all of this out to say...
-If Buddie goes canon, he is really going to be bringing the skills to the bedroom. The first time they have sex when Buck is in charge, the physical sex will be on fire. (Now I can't get that song out of my head.) I mean, Eddie will be calling in sick to work the next day, and when he does go back to work, he will be staring off into space until Bobby sends him home for the day.
youtube
Eddie will get sent home, and Buck will look like the cat who ate the canary.
-Eddie has had considerably less experience with women, but all of the women they've shown him with have made no complaints. In fact, Shannon couldn't keep herself away from him when she first returned so I don't feel like he's lacking. However, I don't think the wide range of experience and varying technique is there. I don't mean that as an insult. He's very good with what he knows, and with that Latino rhythm, he'll be picking up new moves like a dancer. As far as his experience with men goes, we will not know if there is any until canon lets him fully tell his truth. There may be some. There may be none. I don't believe it will be extensive if it is there because Eddie is a monogamous person by nature.
-That said, I think what Eddie is going to bring to the table sexually is going to be something Buck has never had before and once he experiences it, he's never going to want to have sex with anyone else afterward. When Eddie sleeps with Buck for the first time, Eddie will not just be having sex with him. He will truly be making love to him. Every touch, every whisper, every point of contact is going to be an act of pure love. It will be worshiping the body and the soul. (Of course, I don't know what will be written and it's all still "IF," but I'm hopeful because whoever has been writing Buddie -Tim or someone else- has written them in a way that matches the story I've been dying to see for a long time.) I have confidence that however it is written will convey that.
-But really, you have to think about that for a minute. Part of Buck's sex addiction could be attributed to the fact that he was seeking some way to get and experience feelings of love and intimacy. He didn't feel loved or seen in his childhood and it has carried into his adulthood. He will never feel more seen or more loved than he will with Eddie the first time and maybe every time the two of them are together. I'm sure there will be plenty of moments that are all about the physical, but not that first time. I do think with Eddie's issues with control, he will want to be in charge the first time. (Not to be graphic, but allowing someone to penetrate you is the most intimate act of surrender a person can give you. The pleasure of it aside, I imagine that must be difficult for two uber-masculine men. I can even see this being one of the issues that Eddie and Buck will have to face after getting together. They will have to learn that their partnership is really a two-way street.) But I digress, back to their first time. No amount of sexual experimenting will be able to match the emotional and physical high of being made love to as opposed to straight-up sex. I don't believe Buck has ever been touched by someone who sees and loves him as clearly as Eddie does. Although I don't doubt the feelings of the women who have told Buck they loved him, I don't think it matches. I don't think it compares.
In the end, it is a wait-and-see-what-the-writers-do type of game. I hope they come close to matching that particular piece of my reasoning.

Can we take a minute to talk about how today’s bts clip is the perfect example of how much…for lack of a better word, damage, Lou’s cameos really caused?
Because the show, the writers, the directors, Oliver, the promo teams etc have all been showing and telling us a very specific story. With very specific moments. And very specific scenes with specific beats hit or missed. And it paints us the picture of what the storyline is about. Buck. Buck figuring out this new piece of information about himself. Buck figuring this new piece about himself out and finding his footing with it. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Then we have Lou and the small section of his following who are very loud. They showing a very different story. Lou has used cameo to spread head canon after head canon after head canon about his character, his relationship with Buck, his relationship with other characters. And it’s warped the actual story to the point where it very much goes against what the actual canon events are showing and telling the viewers. The loud BT fans truly believe Buck and Tommy are this match made in heaven, stars aligned, madly in love about to move in together and start planning a wedding, couple. And the loud BT fans think that because the head canons they were told in these cameos, and because they paid for them, they think they hold more meaning than the free episodes that are aired.
But then as we see by the clip released today, and despite all the other issues people have with the scene and how we can interpret the actions not matching what we’ve seen especially compared to how their first date played out, the actual words they have Tommy telling hen and Karen and by extension the audience is “we’re taking it very slow. Bucks setting the pace”
That doesn’t sound like a deeply in love about to move in and get married couple being portrayed in cameo videos to me. It’s the actual canon reality of the show and the BT relationship though. Snail paced speed. Not that deeply developed or defined. Entry level to allow Buck to get his footing in this new reality he’s discovered.
It also gave yet another moment of is this man actual that serious about Buck? Because instead of taking the opportunity presented to him to reassure Hen and Karen, two important members of Bucks family, Tommy once again instead deflected and made jokes at an inappropriate moment that again didn’t land well, based on Henrens faces. Which again, doesn’t sound like the “everyone loves and respects Tommy and is to thrilled he’s dating Buck, he’s got all these connections with the 118” narrative that has been given through cameo videos.
We will probably never know the actual full reason why Lou suddenly cut his cameos off. But I do think this released bts video is a perfect example of at least one of the reasons he did. Because the content and context of them was getting so far off base from the actual canon of the show and story.
YES! All of this Nonny!
Lou's cameos were such a bad idea. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was told to stop making them either.
He filled these fans' heads with headcanons and wild fairytales about Tommy's completely made up childhood and how he feels about Buck. All while the writers were clearly telling us a very different story. His narrative about Tommy doesn't match the show's narrative. But for some reason a lot of the BT fans don't want to see the canon evidence that BT is not that big love story they want it to be.
On the contrary, the show has been pretty consistent in telling us Buck and Eddie's story and their connection. THAT is canon. All the rest that Lou made up? Definitely fanon!

It's always those two.
#buddie
I love this little shot because it reveals so much. Everyone's left, even Buck's date. The party is a bust. But who stayed behind? Eddie, who has his ass solidly parked on the banquette, doesn't look at the door even once and who clearly never even considered the idea of leaving like the others. Eddie knew Chimney didn't want the party to start with; he reminded Buck of that seconds after this shot. Eddie is there for BUCK.
Eddie Diaz, who probably has the most conservative and conventional wardrobe of all the mains on the show, bought himself an improbable (and probably expensive) pink suit, which HE suggested and coordinated with his best friend, arranged a sleepover for his kid, and got to the karaoke place earlier than everyone else...but still got told by Buck that he was late, which means Buck expected him even earlier and therefore Eddie probably helped him organize the whole thing. He did all of that for a party that, because he is not as willfully oblivious as Buck, he probably suspected Chimney might not attend. He did it because Buck had his heart set on it for some reason and he wanted to make him happy.
Eddie is there purely for Buck. They're each other's ride or die. No matter the way the party was to go, Eddie was always going to stay. And Buck knows that on some level, because you can see in his attitude that he is taking for granted that Eddie is staying, too. They're a unit and they're in this together.

I certainly hope so. It will be the greatest gay-baiting, utter waste of 7 years if they are not.
like ok this is what gets me like you don't have to ship it ok. you don't need to see them as romantic or whatever but it's just like. i legitimately do not understand how you can delude yourself into believing that they're writing buck and eddie's (well mostly buck) relationships with the same care and interest as they have for the other mains. like i don't get it, genuinely. they are sharing all their screen time with each other. they are doing all the important things with each other. to the point where there is literally no space LEFT for them to have their own love stories. but then their character arcs are all about love. searching for love. trying to love right. their relationships, IN THE TEXT, should be able to stand up to the other main couples. and they DON'T. they literally just don't. they never do. i can't stop thinking about athena saying I'M MRS. BOBBY NASH. in that way. i want to feel like they're building up to something of THAT LEVEL!!! that's what they DESERVEEEEEEE

Okay, I rarely venture off my following tab atm and don't go out of my way to read the discourse I know will upset me. But I ran across this and had to laugh:
with all the off-base speculation that's deliberately excluding canon facts and warping/editing scenes to read different than they do.
The thing about buddie is that it IS canon facts we base our meta and theories on. And why would we need to edit scenes to read different? I mean, the kitchen scene alone . . .

Absolutely, they need to BUCK up and let #buddie happen. Slow burn is one thing, but it doesn't need to be a full blown relationship, just a realization of feelings and a confrontation of the elephant in the room.
Okay, one last thing, why are we acting like suddenly now that we are on abc, it's gonna be grey's anatomy and we're guaranteed 25 seasons? We're not even guaranteed season 9, why would we want to gamble on the chance of not getting the payoff for buddie if they can just get them together and make them work through shit as couple instead of continue to run around like headless chicken LOOKING AROUND FOR SOMETHING THEY ALREADY HAVE???????????
