This is interesting.

As cannabis surges in popularity and more places legalise recreational weed, a growing number of people are using the drug in early pregnancy.

A large new study suggests there may be unexpected impacts of that choice. A cross-sectional analysis of 11, 489 children, 655 of whom were exposed to THC in the womb, has found cannabis use during pregnancy is tied to a small elevation in psychotic-like behaviours later in life.

These include aggression towards others, as well as attention and social problems.

While it could be that women with these behavioural features are more likely to use cannabis during pregnancy, the relationship stood even when other confounding factors, such as genetic predispositions, were considered.

That’s a fair point but when every facet of our society is so focused towards social media and the internet, up to 90% of the population is guaranteed to keep their phone on their person. And I would also agree though, if we are to receive an implant more than likely it would be under the guise of medical technology or if it was hidden from us it would more than likely be used for something bigger.

Yet another example of how we truly have not one iota of understanding regarding our moon, let alone our own galaxy.

The Moon, our closest cosmic neighbour, and the only other body in the Solar System on which humans have set foot, is fairly well known to us. We know that there is practically no air. We know that there is water ice, but no liquid water.

So you can understand why the detection of haematite on the Moon has scientists baffled, since haematite is an oxidised form of iron that, here on Earth, requires the presence of both air and water to form.

Especially since the Moon is constantly bombarded with a stream of hydrogen from the solar wind, a reducing agent that ‘donates’ its electrons to the materials it interacts with. Oxidisation occurs due to a loss of electrons - so even if all of the right elements were present for oxidisation to occur, the solar wind should cancel it out.

“It’s very puzzling,” said planetary scientist Shuai Li of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. “The Moon is a terrible environment for haematite to form in.”
