You might have noticed that I haven't been very active lately. That's because schools are reopened and college seems very adamant about sucking my soul (not in a fun way) so I'm exhausted all the time. Good news is, I got sent out of Chemistry for arguing with my psycho teacher and now I'm off the course forever.

Reject authority, comrades. Especially when it's a direct descendant of Hitler who expects you to respect them but refuses to respect you in return.

Some old white guy moved away from me on the bus this morning, I don't know if it was because I'm black or because of what I was wearing. Either way I must be doing something right.

This is the kind of casual racism you just don't get from online classes. What a breath of fresh air.

But on a serious note, don't let petty, bigoted people ruin your day, comrades.

Since schools are reopening here in the UK, I'm going back to college tomorrow. I can't say I'm looking forward to it seeing as I've left mountains of homework for tonight but also, the prospect of returning to this place that I loath to listen to teachers I can't stand teach me things that are ultimately useless doesn't exactly fill me with positivity. At least I'll be back to robbing Asda every day. 🤷🏾‍♀️

RANT INCOMING -

Can we please stop pretending that intra-racial prejudice isn't just as valid as any other discrimination? I'm talking about Light-skinned, Brown-skinned and Dark-skinned people to be specific. For example (because I've seen this scenario a lot) when a dark-skinned guy says he doesn't date dark-skinned women, it's not 'just a preference', THAT IS RACIST. We already face enough oppression as it is, we don't need this too. Thank you.

Also, I've had members of my own family, devalue my 'blackness'-- for want of a better term-- because I'm not 'dark enough'. Clearly I'm dark enough to be discriminated against by my teachers and get dirty looks from random old people, so why do I need to validate my blackness to you??? Fuck off.

TL/DR: Black people need to stop excluding members of their community based on the lightness/ darkness of their skin cuz that shit ain't cool.

As much as I love to see this kind of acceptance within religious groups, this has so many holes in it and could easily be countered with the fact that you wouldn't get into heaven for not being an axe murderer but that doesn't mean that axe murdering is therefore not a sin. U get me? This still made me smile tho.

The Russian text says: “Death to the Bourgeoisie” using the flag design of the Kronstadt rebels.

On March 1st 1921, around 15,000 people assembled in the city of Kronstadt, demanding free elections, an end to censorship, and freedom of trade, marking the beginning of the Kronstadt Rebellion against the Bolshevik government.

The uprising consisted of sailors, soldiers, and civilians from a variety of political persuasions. It was also the last major revolt against the Bolshevik government on Russian territory during the civil war.

The rebellion took place in the context of a difficult winter in which fuel and food became scarce. Protests and civil unrest were happening throughout Russia, and the sailors in Kronstadt had actually deposed their commander Raskolnikov in late January.

On February 28th, in reaction to government suppression of protests in Petrograd, the sailors drafted a set of fifteen demands, including free elections, freedom of assembly for peasant and labor organizations, and the allowance of trade.

On March 2nd, a Provisional Revolutionary Committee was formed, demanding a “third revolution” to restore the revolutionary values Kronstadt supporters felt the Bolsheviks had betrayed.

The Bolsheviks accused the Kronstadt rebels as being “counter-revolutionary” and moved to crush the rebellion by force. On March 7th, the Bolshevik government began attacking the island with small land forces and aerial bombardment, however little progress was made.

On March 16th, a Bolshevik force of 50,000 met and defeated the 15,000 rebels, seizing control of the island. 8,000 Kronstadt refugees crossed into Finland within a day of Kronstadt’s fall, sabotaging the defenses as they left.

Anarchists see the Kronstadt Rebellion as a righteous rebellion against an increasingly repressive Soviet state, while Bolsheviks view it as counter-revolutionary and petty bourgeois in character. For his part, Lenin regarded the episode as a critical challenge to the revolution, calling Kronstadt “undoubtedly more dangerous than Denikin, Yudenich, and Kolchak combined”.

Did anyone else used to always make jokes about communism and then accidentally become a communist?

I'm relatively new to Communism and Marxism, I only really started taking it seriously just over a month ago, but already I love it, like the sense of community and how everyone is so badass and intelligent and gay and accepting. I'm currently looking for a part time job to help out at home and finally start buying all the books I want to read because I'm at the stage where I have to Google literally every term I come across but I've never been so excited about learning something before. This is the first time in my life I've actually felt like I know what I'm meant to be doing.
