Video shows the first moments following an Israeli airstrike on the entrance to a school where displaced Palestinians took refuge in Abasan, east of Khan Yunis (July 9).
I just want you all to at least watch the first 15 seconds of this. Palestinian men playing football inside a school turned shelter. That's Israel's target. If you watch until the end, then you will see what a single bombing can do. Now think of the thousands like it across Gaza.
25 people were killed in this attack.
The screams are haunting.
The instantaneous shift from calm to chaos is harrowing.
Thing is, if this doesn't move you nothing will. I used to believe that some people will be moved by footage like this. I don't believe that anymore, not when we have had nine whole months of the most horrific footage like this one, filling our feeds every minute of every day. If you weren't moved then, I'm not wasting time to fix your monstrous indifference anymore.
This footage and others like it are still important to share, even within our circles, to serve as a reminder as to what we're bearing witness to and our massive responsibility to honour those martyrs, to honour those screams and to keep fighting like hell for the living.
