My friend has Cancer

I saw my friend today


She told me the news


Couldn’t hold my tears at first


Many memories went through my head


Many things I wanted to say.


 Didn’t let my tears ruin our conversation


I didn’t cry after all


Didn’t want her to feel bad


Instead we started talking


And remembering


Happy memories


Fun experiences.


 As we were talking


Suddenly I hugged her so tight


Like I didn’t want to let go


Like it was the last time I was going to see her.


 It was fun to go


To out favorite spot


Where we used to hang out


Smiling and laughing


Having a great time.


 I left her house


But didn’t miss the chance


To hug her one more time


Tell her I love her.


 As I was driving home


I started to cry


As I was thinking about her


I realize how unpredictable life is


Sometimes unfair and cruel


But I was fortunate that I had the opportunity


To see her


Before she left to receive treatment.


 I will be thinking about her


I will write to her


To let her know

I was so lost I was incomplete My life was tearing apart I needed someone to talk. Never knew when I met you That you would be the one Who will help me Get through this horrible hell. It's hard for me to say the things I want to say To express myself But with you it isn't. Sometimes I wish I was dead

wonder why?

It hasn’t been a day when

my dad hasn’t said

“I love you”

I try to talk to him

he thinks I am attacking him

he plays the victim card

he thinks I want him to die.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t have a dad

or maybe another one

my mom should get married again

be with someone who loves her.

He doesn’t even see me like his daughter

he brags about another people’s daughters

what about me?

Didn’t he want one?

Sometimes I wish I was gone

I haven’t had luck being in another country

I haven’t found love

what a pity,

He paid my bills, he paid my clothes

he paid for school, and all the supplies

all of that its just material things

what about love?

none of that has been given

but he thinks that because he buys me things

he deserves my respect.

Sometimes I wish my grandma was dead

or my aunt

in his eyes, they come before us

or that’s what I think?

but they say we can’t wish someone’s death

cause it comes back to us

and worse.

Sometimes I wish… 

but some things

haven’t come true.
