Love how they put Dick, Barbara and Tim in the background of Savage Time. And my headcanon is that the girl chasing Tim is Cassandra Cain.

Some of y'all act like Tim hated Jason when Tim was Robin and Jason was still dead but I disagree.
Not a lot of people do this but I've seen it enough times that it's gotten to bother me a little bit.
Let's take a look at some early Tim opinions on Jason.
Detective Comics (1937) #618
"Just a boy like me... One day I'll be as good as Jason."
This issue came out in 1990, so it's rather soon after Jason died and Tim was introduced (which happened in 1988 and 1989 respectfully). This is what Tim thinks about Jason very early one. This doesn't read as even remotely like hatred to me.
But wait, there's more!
The very next issue shows Tim having sympathy for Jason.
Detective Comics (1937) #619
Tim is noting the similarities between Dick, Jason, and himself. This issue is in the same arc when Tim's parents get kidnapped and his mom is killed. He has sympathy for Dick AND Jason, who both lost their parents. Tim is faced with the same pain and it shows his compassion for Jason.
Now this isn't to say that Tim was unaware of some of Jason's problems and maybe did blame him for his own death a bit, as shown with this panel:
Batman (1940) #455
Tim knew that Jason had times of anger and says he won't let that happen to himself. I don't think Tim is being quite fair here in claiming that he won't let his anger get the better of him like Jason's did, but Tim is hardly the only character to think this way about Jason and, again, this doesn't read as hatred to me. If anything, to me this reads as a character with preconceived notions about how another person died and not wanting to make the same preconceived mistakes as that person.
Is he being a bit harsh and 'holier-than-thou' here? Yes. Do I think this is hatred or some other malicious view of Jason? No.
There is also that time Tim hallucinated Dick and Jason, and they gave a sort of "pep-talk" to him about being Robin.
Batman (1940) #456
These are Tim's own thoughts manifesting through Dick and Jason. I do dislike that he imagines Jason blaming himself for his own death but think about why Tim would think this about Jason. Tim never met Jason. Wasn't there when he died. He only knows what he read and what he was told about Jason from other people. People like Bruce, Dick, and Alfred. And while those three loved and cared for Jason, they also unfortunately reinforced the belief that Jason was responsible for the Joker murdering him. It's not great but it does stand to reason that Tim would think this about Jason.
But it's not all bad stuff. Tim imagines Jason cheering him on alongside Dick:
Batman (1940) #456
Tim imagines not just Dick but also Jason telling him he can do it. That he can figure it out and be a good Robin. I feel like if Tim really did hate Jason, he wouldn't imagine Jason rooting for him.
Tim goes on to imagine Dick and Jason later helping him out with a fight:
Batman (1940) #457
Again, Tim imagines both Dick AND Jason encouraging him during a battle. He imagines that they both want him to succeed as a hero. Why would Tim want Jason's approval if he dislikes Jason? Because he doesn't dislike Jason. Tim respects him enough as Robin to think that he wants Jason's encouragement.
and then at the end when he officially becomes Robin:
Batman (1940) #457
"Dick made it a symbol... Jason gave his life for it. Failing them... what they fought so hard to build... worries me."
Tim sees being Robin as not just carrying on Dick's legacy, but also Jason's. He wants to live up to Jason just as much as he wants to live up to Dick. He wants to be a Robin that both of them can be proud of.
Like none of this says to me that Tim hated Jason. Did he look up to and idolize Jason the way he did with Dick? No, but that also doesn't mean that Tim hated him.
I get the feeling that Tim viewed Jason's death as a tragedy but since they never met, he didn't have any personal feelings about him, only wanting to live up to the Robin name that Jason left behind.
Now I DO think that Tim did eventually end up hating Jason after Jason came back and tried to kill Tim and others multiple times but this post is specifically referring to the time before Jason returned from the grave.
And I guess I should make it clear that I've not read every single comic issue of Tim Drake ever so maybe there are moments that refute my claim that I just don't know about. I'm simply going off of issues that I have read and I've only read Tim's very early days as Robin.
Feel free to disagree and add on if you want.

Happy Batman Day to all who celebrate this little bitch of a man. 🙏
Sketched this on a friend’s iPad like a year ago when I was reading Batman: The Cult and…never posted it.

I’m reading Robin Rises and why wasn’t this the Red Robin suit in the New 52? It looks so much better!
It’s essentially Tims Rebirth suit but with wings and it looks spectacular!

I love the trope where the action/horror movie protagonists aren’t scared of horror movies cause they’ve experienced way worse stuff. Like they go in the theater and just laugh at the special effects and how fake it looks compared to the real stuff.

If I had a nickel for every peak manga/anime that had an MC who’s parents own a cake shop, (that I know about) I’d have 2 nickel. Which isn’t a lot but I’m grateful it happened twice

Okay this is super random but have you guys ever seen the video “How Logan Should Have Ended”??? It’s literally one of the best things I have ever seen
They literally take Logan’s death scene and draw a shot for shot remake of Hugh Jackman’s death scene in Les Mis, with the singing and everything - they literally write a whole ass X-Men cover
It’s so good - I definitely recommend watching it if you haven’t seen it

Read some actual comics, Kyle.
Superman is an incredibly kind and tender character. (If he’s not being written that way, then he’s not being written well.) He inspires hope not just through his heroics, but also through his kindness toward other people. That’s his thing. Don’t you DARE call tenderness a “weakness.” Get your toxic masculinity the hell away from me and go read a badly written Batman comic if you want a “tough” male character.

So I finished both the Reign of the Supermen and Return of Superman compilations, and these were little factoids I thought were neat (a lot of it has likely been retconned out by both the New 52 and DC Rebirth but I think they're neat):
>During the course of his career with the Daily Planet, Clark wrote three books in addition to all his articles.
>Clark's favorite movie is "To Kill a Mockingbird"
>Bibbo Bibbowski rescued his own little white puppy and wanted to name it 'Krypton' but the dog tag engraver only had room for six letters, thus shortening it to 'Krypto.'
>It's implied the first time Lois and Clark ever had sex was "a rainy night in July."
>Superboy literally had no idea he had tactile telekinesis as a power and the first couple times he used it and basically just recognized it as "Touch power that makes technology explode."
(He's a moron. I adore him.)
>Superboy keeps getting leather jackets and keeps fucking destroying them.
>Cyborg Superman is capable of just straight up going Eldritch Tech Abomination (which honestly I wish he could have gone full "THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM!!!" for the last fight but I get why they'd stick with him as Cyborg Superman™)
>Jimmy got Clark into Van Halen.

Dick Grayson’s Nightwing suits
It all started with a deep cut v-neck, back in 1984. In a lighter shade of blue than the rest of the suit. We still see that basic form in the Nightwing suit today, whether it is the variant with a lighter colour (generally blue) in a v-shape over the chest, shoulder and back or as a stylized bird.
The v-shape started to take the shape of a bird on the Nightwing suit in 1997, in The New Batman Adventures (a continuation of Batman The Animated Series).
(If you know of any model or facts that I’ve missed, don’t hesitate to let me know so I can update!)
The original suit, fondly nicknamed “discowing”. When Dick took it on for the first time, he had an inner monologue about how the name and the costume are based on Batman and Superman but also his parents and Kory/Starfire. Tales of the Teen Titans # 44. By Marv Wolfman, art George Pérez, Dick Giordano and Mike DeCarlo. (July 1984)
This is from an interview with Marv Wolfman, on 13thdimension.com, about why Dick became Nightwing:
It was fairly simple, actually. I got a call that (DC) really would like Robin back in Batman, and they wanted Robin to be younger. Again, because Batman really needed a partner. The nice thing was that Teen Titans—which I was still on at the time—was way outselling Batman and I really wanted Dick Grayson and I really loved the character. We had aged him, we had made him a real leader, we had done a whole bunch of things with him, and I didn’t want to give up Dick Grayson. And it suddenly struck me — I don’t even know what happened because it was unprecedented in comics — I said, “Why don’t I keep Dick Grayson and you create a new Robin and make that a big to-do in Batman … while we have Nightwing.
After eight years, the “discowing” suit was replaced by one with less light blue and more yellow, not unlike the original but without the collar and deep neckline. It also had a bat-like emblem on the belt. The uniform was (in-universe) designed by Mirage impersonating Starfire/Kory, who also cut Dick’s hair to go with the 90′s, over his mild protests. (It’s been a long time since I read NTT from this era, so I can’t remember if the yellow between the arms actually functioned as glider wings.) New Titans vol 1 # 88. Written by Marv Wolfman and Lein Wein, art Tom Grummett, Al Vey, Ian Akin and John Statema. (July 1992)
This model didn’t last long – Dick scrapped it in September 1995, in the first issue of the first Nightwing (mini) series. His decision to leave the hero business lasted about ten minutes, I guess. Nightwing vol 1 # 1. By Dennis O’Neil, art Greg Land and Mike Sellers. (1995)
Dick’s third model, the black and electric blue “fingerstripe” suit was, in-universe, designed by Harold Allnut who lived in the Batcave and worked as Batman’s all round mechanic and technical guy. Dick would stick with this design until he became Batman in 2009. Nightwing vol 1 # 2. By Dennis O’Neil, art Greg Land and Mike Sellers. (1995)
The actual designer was Brian Stelfreeze, who made this model sheet.

A big thing for Clark is, once he gets a better grasp on his super-hearing, he makes a point of kind of consciously keeping his super-hearing away from Lois's apartment because "I trust her and respect her privacy" but at the same time he is absolutely attuned to when Lois's voice reaches a certain pitch/volume (much in the same way he is attuned to people screaming/calling for help or saying "put the gun down" all over the city). So pretty much every morning Clark just fucking perks up like "Lois? Trouble???? Oh wait she's just singing in the shower. Wow, she is really bad at it. I love her. :)"
And that's also how she gets terrible songs stuck in his head all day.

What's really fun about Batman Year 3 is that the tension throughout is: "is he going to kill Zucco when he gets out of prison ? " and you would think "he" would be the person whose parents got murdered by Zucco... But no, it's Batman. Dick is the voice of reason in all of this, he is horrified when he thinks Bruce let Zucco die.
I also kinda love the contrast between Bruce pre-Jason death where he is violent when he needs to be but he is mostly using his detective skills without destroying people's faces and post-Jason death when the violence increased a lot and it's Dick who plays detective and have a level-head. It's a really nice way to head to lonely place of dying.
