Okay everyone I've decided to turn to here to maybe find a D&D group. I've really been wanting to play but I've no one to play with currently

I'm looking for beginner friendly, as I've played before but we've never gotten very far, so I feel very much like a beginner. I would LOVE to roleplay, but I'm inexperienced, so would love a group that's beginner friendly in that aspect too!!

Looking for a free online group, not too picky about meet times and would meet whenever everyone is available. I think my biggest desire is creative freedom with my character, but would definitely do so with respect to the campaign story, if possible.

Feel free to reach out and ask questions to see if I'd be a good fit! I would just really love to get to storytelling.

Finally properly started playing Hogwarts Legacy after owning it for like a year and let me just say: all I know are evasive maneuvers. And protego. All I do is dodge

Is anyone else's least favorite thing about writing finding the perfect background noise? And I don't just mean music, I mean TV shows and movies too. When I don't want to listen to music and write, I want to put on a movie I've seen before so I'm not obligated to watch it, but also something I haven't seen a million times so it's not a drab. The happy medium is so difficult to find!!

Does anyone else really hate the camera they've been using in some shows lately? Like the one they've been using in Criminal Minds: Evolution. I love that the show is back, but that camera makes me feel so disconnected from the show. Like, why are we not using up the whole screen??? And my dad's watching SEAL Team downstairs rn and it's got the same thing going on!!!

These are the only two I can think of, but there's something else I've seen that does this and I hate it!!! I feel so disconnected from the story to the point that I can't even fully articulate how it makes me feel. Is it uncanny???

The Eragon movie might be my comfort movie. Like ik it's not accurate to the book but I was like 8 and hating on it just because it's not accurate (even though I am a reader and love good adaptations) would be like hating on the HTTYD movies for me. I can't do it, it's my childhood!!!

This is a good time to remind everyone that a bad adaption does not necessarily equal a bad movie.

Okay, the one thing I keep seeing about BG3 is people complaining about Karlach's lack of a happy ending. But now I'm wondering what endings you guys got because the ending I got for her my first playthrough seemed pretty happy?

Like, yeah, she was back in Avernus to keep her heart from burning up, but she was with Wyll. And if you talk to her at the reunion party, she'll literally tell you that she and Wyll found a blueprint/map thingy that'll lead them to someone who can fix her up and return her to normal life. Her story's not resolved, per say (just like the others), but there's enough to say that she's going to be fine by the time the game ends.

She's basically one trip away from being home free. That seems pretty happy to me.

I've been really enjoying Bones but I think that one thing that's missing so far (I'm in s4) is Seeley Booth having a little sister that loves to pester him. Like, jumpscares him at random and bickers with him constantly because of some large age gap or something of the sort

Totally threw me off when I met Jaheira's daughter (Rion) in act 3 during my first playthrough because she and my tav had the same face. I was like, "Jaheira why didn't you say something??!!"

Like, huh? Have I been reminding you of your daughter this whole time???
