Understanding lab analysis on cannabis products
A lot of f companies use product labels to help determine what’s inside cannabis. When you first look at these, they seem overwhelming. Here, we’ll discuss what a few of these labels mean.
There are a few things that you’ll see at first glance. One of them is the name, such as the name of the brand of flower and also the company name. This is good for remembering a product to buy again, or to avoid if you disliked it.
Types of Strains
Usually, strains come in a few different types. There is sativa, which is known to energize and is great for creativity and focusing. There is also indica, which helps to relax the body, and is a great one before bed.
Tumblr media
There are hybrids, which are the best of both types, oftentimes combined to create an amazing strain that really delivers. Sativa also is good for anxiety, quelling it and making it better. indica is great for insomnia, and also mitigating pain in the body. a lot of times, hybrids are the best though due to the way it maximizes benefits.
It’s important to understand though that these strains do vary, despite the different names for things. Usually, this is determined too by more than just the name, but also the terpene within this as well. The cannabinoids too also can determine those effects.
Content numbers of CBD and THC
These cannabinoids are what’s found within the plant, and it has a bunch of different cannabinoids, with two being super active. THC is the one that offers a high one that’s euphoric and also is great for feeling the high sensations. CBD doesn’t give you a high, but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel some kind of psychoactive result from this.
The type of THC and CBD content with  this is usually represented by a quantity and a concentration that’s there. For instance, oil and flour are basically milligrams per gram. Edibles are milligrams or also shown in milligrams for a single unit. A pack that contains 100 mg total of THC will have 10 mg in each piece if there are 10 pieces. The total THC and CBD amounts there on cannabis are basically referring to what’s available for those who vape or smoke the flower that’s there.
Other labels
There are also other labels that are on these packages that are important to keep in mind. There is the way that it’s harvested, the expiration date, how it’s packaged, and other factors. The product weight talks about how much it weighs, typically in the form of grams.
Tumblr media
The ingredients are another part, as it’s good for those who are allergic to some kinds of ingredients. Make sure to check this before you purchase it.
Finally, you’ve got the warning labels that are there. These are basically medical warnings that are there to protect others. They usually say that the cannabis is for medical patients and just them, or not to use them if breastfeeding or pregnant. There also might be warnings about using cannabis products when operating cars or machinery, encouraging you not to do this.
youtube
There is also a terpene profile, which talks about the terpenes within this. Terpenes, for those who don’t know, are the scents that are there that give it the unique aroma, or other scents too. They also offer health benefits too that you can enjoy. If you want to engage with certain terpenes, then you can do so.
Cannabis packaging is something that can offer a lot of benefits, and here, we went over the basics of the product.

Dabbing or Vaping - Which One is Better?
Smoking weed has always been a favorite American pastime. People prefer to smoke weed over using other forms of cannabis ingestion due to how quickly the THC can take effect and the high quality that one can experience. Recently, however, new forms of cannabis ingestion have become quite popular among the medical marijuana community, thanks to all of the recent policy and legislation changes across the United States regarding the legality of marijuana. Anyways, have you heard of vaping or dabbing? They fall under the category of inhalation, which refers to consuming marijuana by means of breathing into one’s lungs. Dabbing and vaping differ from just smoking marijuana because it involves cannabis concentrates.
Tumblr media
Rather than smoking an actual dry herb or bud, vaping and dabbing takes a concentrated version of the main chemical compounds found in cannabis and puts it into an oil or wax. Scientists have begun saying that this is the ideal way to use cannabis, since you get the benefit of smoking weed without the risk of inhaling organic matter in the process. Anyways, today I wanted to write this article about the difference between vaping and dabbing and which one may be right for you. Some people consider these forms of inhalation to be very similar, but there are some distinct and notable differences that I think everyone should be aware of before they decide to pick up one or the other. So without further ado, let’s talk about what you need to know about vaping and dabbing.
Vaping is probably the most popular way the people consume marijuana concentrates. Vaping became really popular after nicotine vapes began to come around. However, the marijuana industry has adapted to produce cannabis concentrates that are extremely effective and popular among the cannabis community. In order to vape, you need to actually have a vaporizer or vape pen that can do the job. These things are not too expensive, and you can usually find them in any smoke shop and a ton of different websites online. Most people that prefer vaping like it because of how portable and convenient it is.
Tumblr media
Instead of having to worry about rolling joints or carrying around a bong, vaping is great because you can just fill your pen with some cannabis concentrate before you leave the house, and then stick it in your pocket to use whenever you are out on the town or something. Plus, vaping concentrates is much more discrete compared to actually smoking from a pipe or bong. Vaping basically involves placing the concentrate inside the heating chamber of your vape. Then the concentrate is heated and disintegrates into a vapor form as you breathe in, giving you the perfect pull every time. Many people like vaping due to how smooth it feels to hit time after time, and you can find cannabis concentrates for your vape in a variety of strains, potencies, and flavors.
youtube
So now that we have talked about vaping, let’s hop on over to dabbing. What is dabbing and how does it work? Well, instead of placing wax in the heating chamber of a vape before heating it, dabbing involves heating the area you will place the wax before actually putting it there. Dabbing usually involves a bit more practice to get right, but some people really prefer it over vaping. Most people that like to use dabbing have some sort of blowtorch mechanism with which to heat the dabbing rig. Most dabbing rigs look really similar to a bong or something like that, so keep in mind that it is not as convenient as carrying a vape pen around.

Common Mistakes When Using a Medical Marijuana Card
There are currently 36 states across the United States that have legalized medical marijuana, which means that it is easier than ever for people in this country to have access to medical grade cannabis. Many state’s medical marijuana programs have become very intuitive and easy to navigate, while other programs suffer from being extremely hard to use and can take a lot of time to  figure out. However, it is true that medical marijuana is now more accessible in the United States than it has ever been before.
Tumblr media
So what do you need to know about applying for and using a medical marijuana card? Well, the process is becoming more regulated and professional with each passing day. In most states, finding a medical marijuana doctor or other medical professional that can refer you to the medical cannabis program is relatively simple. If you meet your state’s qualifying conditions for obtaining a medical marijuana card and are able to set up an appointment with a doctor, you should have no problem obtaining your card successfully.
However, there are some common mistakes when it comes to using a medical marijuana card. After all, anything involving the United States government is going to have its drawbacks, and medical marijuana programs are no different. Today, I wanted to write about some common mistakes to avoid when using a medical marijuana card. Obviously, how a medical marijuana program operates is going to differ from state to state, but use your discrepancy to adapt the tips in the article to fit your state’s medical marijuana programs. And besides, many of these mistakes are universal in the United States.
youtube
The first mistake that many people make after obtaining their medical marijauna card is not keeping it in a safe place or storing it correctly. This isn’t some gas station rewards card people - this is your medical marijuana card! The last thing you want is to lose your medical marijuana card by misplacing it or keeping it in a place where it is at risk to be lost or damaged. Even more importantly, some people fail to store their actual cannabis correctly as well. Many people who first start using cannabis do not realize that their medical marijuana can lose its potency and its’ ability to be effective because it is not stored properly.
Marijuana is not something that you just want to have sitting out on your counter for days on end, especially because it can dry up and lose its effectiveness. Storing your medical cannabis in a dry and dark place is the best way to keep it fresh and effective. The reason that it needs to be in a dark place is because too much light can break down the cannabinoid content, making it less potent and effective. I recommend using some air tight containers to keep your medical marijuana at its’ best until you’re ready to use it!
Tumblr media
Another common mistake the medical marijauna users make is sticking to just one strain of cannabis for way too long. The beauty of the medical marijuana industry is that there are so many varieties and cannabis strains available to you. Sticking to one strain for months on end is just doing yourself a disservice.
Plus, our bodies have a way of growing more tolerant to drugs and medications, meaning that sticking to the same strain for too long will decrease the overall effects of your cannabis usage. Plus, not trying other strains of cannabis may mean that you are missing what could work best for you. Each strain of marijuana is unique in its own way and has different ways of affecting the mind and the body.

Dabbing Versus Vaping Cannabis
There are an increasing number of ways to consume cannabis in our world today. While your parents may have only been able to smoke the raw flower or bud if they wanted to light up back in their day, we are fortunate enough to take advantage of decades of cannabis research and market evolution.
Today I wanted to take some time to talk about two of the more popular methods of inhalation when it comes to consuming cannabis: dabbing and vaping. If you are unfamiliar with either one of these methods, don’t worry! I am going to tell you everything you need to know about dabbing versus vaping. Not everyone who uses medical marijuana cannabis regularly likes to use inhalation methods for a variety of reasons.
Tumblr media
For some people, inhalation of cannabis can worsen problems with respiratory function, nervous system, and cardiovascular issues. It is also worth mentioning that, while cannabis is generally considered a risk free drug with very little negative side effects, inhaling anything into your lungs is probably not good in the long term. Marijuana inhalation is probably safer than something like smoking cigarettes, but it is still good to keep in mind that there is not a whole lot of research available on the effects of smoking marijuana on one’s lungs in the long term.
So what is the appeal of smoking or vaping? And what is the difference between the two? Well, it mostly comes down to preference as far as which one you prefer, but there are some notable differences between dabbing and vaping marijuana that we will talk about today. The main draw for using dabbing or vaping is a method of consuming cannabis is that they are effective ways to inhale marijuana concentrates.
youtube
What are marijuana concentrates? Instead of smoking a flower or bud, concentrates come in the form of wax or gel and are usually much more potent in levels of THC than regular cannabis plants. This means that you can get some very heavy hitting THC effects in a lot less time. You should know that if you are used to smoking regular marijuana, dabbing or vaping concentrates can often be too potent for many users.
You will definitely want to be careful before you go out and try random concentrates you find at your local dispensary. Some concentrates can have as much as 60-70% THC potency. However, some states have started to cap the level of potency that cannabis concentrates can contain legally. So, with all that being said, what’s the difference between vaping and dabbing? Vaping is probably the most popular method that individuals use to consume marijuana concentrates. This is because vape pens and vaporizers are relatively affordable and easy to use.
Tumblr media
Not to mention, vape pens are really discreet and can even be nearly odorless. Some people love carrying their vape around at concerts, festivals, and other events where they want to experience a high but don’t want all the attention of smoking or dabbing in a crowded area. A vape works by heating the marijuana concentrate in the vape pen and then turning it into a vapor that can be inhaled.  Dabbing, by contrast, is much more common among people who use medical marijuana.
Dabbing involves heating the area you will place the wax or concentrate before you actually place it there. The process of dabbing marijuana concentrates is a bit more complicated than vaping them, and there is definitely some practice involved in getting proficient at it. Dab rigs usually look like a bong of some sort, meaning that they are not necessarily portable either. If you are just getting started with using cannabis, I suggest that you look into vaping ove dabbing!

How to Start Your Career in Cannabis
If you have been wanting to get involved in the cannabis industry, then you have come to the right place. We have seen time and time again that the demand for cannabis in the United States continues to grow, even through things like a recession and a pandemic. I don’t blame anyone who is wanting to start their career in the cannabis world right now, simply because there is so much money in this industry at the moment. I mean, just look at the states that have legalized recreational marijuana - the taxes they are raking in from such operations are off the charts. It is fair to say that many people dream of working with weed all day, but how does one actually get started? Well, it may not be as simple as you might think. The truth about the cannabis industry in our country is that a lot of things are still up in the air.
Tumblr media
We still do not know what the federal government will put in place, as far as policy and legislature, in the nxt 3 to 5 years, and until then we are kind of stuck in limbo with the state's discretion on whether to legalize marijuana or not. It is an interesting time to get involved for sure. Many states are very strict about the amount of dispensaries that are able to open up, and the guidelines and taxes that come along with opening up one of these dispensaries are very hefty. Either way, there is a lot of money to be made in this industry, and I do not blame you one bit for trying to get involved in it. So, today I am writing about how to get started with your cannabis career. After all, I consider myself a part of the cannabis industry as I write these articles about weed for people like you.
One of the first ways that you can get your foot in the door of the marijuana industry is by becoming a budtender and working at a dispensary. As I said earlier, the demand for people in this position will waver from state to state based on how many dispensaries are actually allowed to open up. However, if you manage to find a place with quite a few dispensaries to choose from, you may be able to snag a spot as a budtender. Working at a dispensary is great because you become familiar with all sorts of marijuana related things. You will get to know all about different types of cannabis products, strains, equipment, and more.
Tumblr media
I honestly can’t think of a better place to start your career in weed. Plus, who doesn’t love working with weed all day? You should be fairly knowledgeable about weed already and you should have experience in the retail field as well. Most places looking for budtenders do not require a college degree either, so you don’t have to worry about that. Overall I would say that this is a pretty great gig to get you started in this field, and pretty much everyone you work with and serve is going to be chill. While you are not a doctor by any means, you should still have some knowledge about using medical marijuana and treating certain conditions. Basically, you should know which strains would work best for pain, sleep, cancer, etc.
youtube
Further down the line, you may be able to find your way into jobs centered around cannabis cultivation. These jobs will probably be much different than working as a budtender, but they are definitely out there. Growers, harvesters, supply chain managers, and supervisors are all needed in the marijuana industry.

Florida‌ ‌Says‌ ‌No‌ ‌to‌ ‌Adult-Use‌ ‌Cannabis‌ ‌ ‌
When a state legalizes medical marijuana, the next logical step is to then legalize recreational marijuana. However, not every state will actually take the necessary steps to legalize reactionary marijuana even after seeing how effective it can be in other states. One great example of this is the state of Florida. Florida has one of the most successful medical marijuana programs in the entire United States. One of the reasons for this is because medical marijuana dispensaries all operate internally. This means that they can grow, process, and retail their own products without having to rely on outside suppliers and providers.
Tumblr media
This has proven to be a very successful business model and has led to Florida being one of the medical marijauna powerhouses in the nation. Like I mentioned earlier, recreational marijuana usage is the next step for states with flourishing medical marijuana programs. We have seen it happen in many other states- in fact, there are currently 19 states in the nation that have legalized recreational marijuana for all adults over the age of 21. These states are showing record numbers of cannabis sales and are absolutely rolling in tax revenue from the marijuana industry. The year 2020 alone was a record breaking one in the cannabis industry, even though many other industries were suffering the pandemic. Sales of marijuana in Colorado grew by more than 26%, leaving total sales of marijuana in the state at over $2.2 billion! That is crazy. So why is Florida not jumping on this bandwagon? Well, we are going to be talking about that today, so make sure to keep reading.
When talking about Florida and their medical marijuana programs, things can get pretty complicated. Part of the reason for this is that it was such a polarizing issue in the state for a long time, and the vote to legalize medical marijuana just barely passed. In addition, there are only 22 companies in Florida that have a license to dispense medical marijuana to patients with a medical card, and all of the rules and regulations are insanely strict. However, the decisions to make it such a strict system have paid off in the long run. The medical marijuana program in Florida is extremely successful and it also means that all of the cannabis products being sold in the state are very safe and high quality. But what about people who are not able to get a hold of a medical marijauna card? Well, for the time being, they are just out of luck. Florida’s highest court has rejected the adult-use ballot measure a few years ago, and there is really no bright future for the next few years about it coming up again. The signatures required for the bill to pass were much higher than similar bills in other states, which again shows how reluctant the policy makers in Florida are to actually legalize recreational marijuana.
Tumblr media
It is honestly really disappointing that Florida is being so resilient about this, because we are able to look at how well other states are doing with their recreational marijuana programs. It is time that we accept that using cannabis is okay in this country, and the stigma that surrounds using weed really needs to go away. For the sake of all the people living in Florida that do not qualify for getting a medical marijuana card, I hope that the state changes its view on recreational cannabis usage in the near future. However, for the time being, medical marijuana is the only type of cannabis available in that state. I hope that you learned something new!
