My Beatle ponies. (Chord Trotter's name is consensually stolen from Misch).

They are G1 ponies to me (original 1980s run) so their lore is that they tour around Ponyland as a music group. (I kind of imagine the boy ponies are nomadic, as why you never see them).

They play guitars as normal, don't ask me how. They just do it.

If you can't read my handwriting, here are the notes:

Silly Lovesong: Lovesong for short. He is a Morgan Horse. "I'm sending this one to the glue factory first"

Gripweed: He is a Comtois horse. They all wear horseshoes but sometimes he refuses. "He uses his magic to lift ladies skirts :(" "If he was the horse the real beatles ate in 1960 he would be very tasty and plump"

Chord Trotter: He is an Akhal-Teke. "He walks/stands with his neck hunched, sharp and angular, awkwardly." His coat is orange but yellow when it catches light.

Ringo Starr (That is already a pony name, no changes needed). He is a Shetland Pony (But not as dramatically smaller than the others as one would be.) Very soft, "born to be a Star!" He has strong sturdy hooves.

Paul on Eat At Home

Nobody was writing simple and easy-to-follow recipe books for meat free home cooking. So, eating in bed was something we both really liked to do. There were a couple of other things we really liked to do, but that’s for another day. It’s a very different take on domesticity from that ‘Bed-In for Peace’ that John and Yoko had in a hotel room in Amsterdam in 1969. Right from the start, he and I were always bouncing off each other when it came to subjects for songs. But the world represented here is certainly much quieter, conducted without the world’s press. You have to remember that Linda and I were newly married, with a baby, and we were desperately trying to escape the hurly-burly and just find time to be a family. We were completely cut off on our farm in Scotland, a place I’d bought a few years before but Linda really fell in love with. So we just made our own fun. We drew a lot. We wrote a lot. We inspired each other. <many beautiful and touching words about lovely life with lovely Linda> From a musical perspective, ‘Eat at Home’ owes much to the example of Buddy Holly, a huge influence on The Beatles when we were growing up and starting to write our own songs. One of the aspects I rather enjoy is that I modified Buddy Holly’s tendency to mimic a speech hesitation by introducing a sheep’s baa into the phrase ‘eat in be-e-e-ed’. I was proud of that!

i think this quote from the lyrics is perhaps one of the craziest paul quotes ever:

Can we talk about the fact that Paul McCartney used to kill frogs because he was worried that he was a “sissy” and thought he would have to kill people during national service and wouldn’t be able to do it?  Can we talk about how he consciously decided he should kill frogs so that he would be tougher?  Can we talk about how utterly heartbreaking that is?   Can we talk about how 1950s britain was a terrible place and nobody should raise a child there? 

Can we talk about how magical it must have felt for him, struggling to put on all this face and front, to suddenly find someone who wanted to write fucking love songs with him?  Can we talk about how Paul wasn’t drawn to John Lennon because he thought John would teach him how to be tough, but because he somehow knew John wouldn’t mind if he wasn’t?  Can we talk about how what they both really needed and revelled in was their ability to be soft with each other?
