"Ours was no chance meeting. Not fate, nor destiny. Nor any other words Men use to speak of the forces they lack the conviction to name. Ours was the work of something greater. You must see it." 1x03

"I'd like someone to explain what powers exactly Galadriel has in the Third Age that justifies the idea that Galadriel received some powers from Sauron when he stabbed her... Did she ever show any ability similar to what a Maia can do? I know she could protect Lothlorien with her "magic" (putting "" because it's not how the Elves call it, I just don't have a better word for it right now), but so could Elrond, who wasn't stabbed by Sauron: he was, however, a ring bearer like Galadriel. I always assumed that Elves had natural 'magical' abilities that were enhanced, in Elrond's and Galadriel's case, by their rings. Galadriel can read open minds, but it's something that all Elves can do if I'm not wrong, some are just better at it than others. My idea is that as Galadriel became wiser and put down her sword, she could focus on attuning her natural skills. I'm not convinced with the idea that because we never saw her (or Elrond or Gil-Galad) do certain things, it should mean that they can't. I just don't believe that Galadriel was "just a warrior" until Sauron stabbed her and shared his powers with her. First, that doesn't sound at all like something he would do ("There's only one Dark Lord and he doesn't share power"); I know he told Galadriel he would connect her to power, but are we really trusting this guy? Second, I find this idea a bit sexist and even low-key disturbing that Galadriel developed these abilities thanks to Sauron's assault on her. I want the wound to have an influence on Galadriel, otherwise, I wouldn't see the point of it. But if the conclusion of this arc is "Galadriel is powerful because she got Sauron's blood in her", I think it will piss off many people, and not just the "lore-bros"."

As a kid learning about the holocaust, I never understood how people could let Nazis rise to power. But now I’m watching it happen in real time.

Has it ever happened to you that you start watching a show, and suddenly you begin to notice chemistry between two main characters who seemed to come out of nowhere and didn’t even know each other at first? Then they start interacting, and even their smallest interactions feel kind of romantic. And then, out of nowhere, a love interest shows up—someone we know nothing about, who only seems to exist in the mind of the protagonist (or exists for the sake of the plot), and who hasn't even been mentioned before. It’s the only character in the entire show who has no depth, even though the most minor side characters have backstories that allow you to connect with them as a viewer. But because this love interest has no story and is just an idealized version of the protagonist’s (or even the viewer’s) desires, it starts to feel annoying when they force this character into the plot no matter what, just because the script says so. And they always do it—always—right when there are important moments happening between the two leads you ship. And then, and then, and then, and then…😝😜😭😭💀😭💀😭💀😭🥺😭🥺😭😜🤗🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
