You know how we were all making comparisons between the current manga arc of Bungou Stray Dogs to Stormbringer.

Comparing Atsushi losing his friends to when Chuuya loses the Flags. Both of them confronting the men that ruined their lives etc.

Along with all the implications that could have.

And now we have the Stormbringer manga coming out alongside the current manga arc.

Like I’m sure that’s a coincidence but that’s kinda wild.

Not a yet fully complete thought/theory BUT who do you think could be the person that called Vein?

Because as we saw, Liu Xiao was at the cinema with Xia Fei and if he made that call, Xia Fei would notice and he would probably be able to connect the dots. So was it really him or someone else?

Vein went to Wang Qing after that call on someone's instruction

"Give me you know what and I will leave you alone." That's what he said and that's what he was going to do, his munition was sleeping darts so he clearly wasn't there to kill anyone. His orders were precise.

And soon enough we found out what he was looking for.

A book/notebook that Cheng Weimin had in his work desk.

Now, Cheng Xiaoshi's mom is trying to save her husband and his father but where exactly is he? Because there is absolutely no way he died in that fire. It just doesn't seem right. Not with the way everyone reacted when his name is mentioned.

We obviously don't know his entire role in the story but we know he's someone who's a very important character.

So could it be possible that maybe he's the mastermind and that we're in for a bigger plot twist that we expected?

This entire time it's been hinted that Liu Xiao is that mastemind and tbh looking at it all, it feels like he probably is but with so many plot twists happening in this series, what if there's a completely bigger picture behind it all? something that we really didn't expect?

Later, when Xia Fei is with Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang he warns them to take care because the person they're looking for is probably hiding bigger secrets.

And it again shows Liu Xiao but he's standing in front of someone's door. Who lives there? Well the person they were looking for was Cheng Weimin and Xia Fei knows that. So the timing for this scene right as he's saying all this...?

I feel like there isn’t much to dispute that the Bridon arc we see really is the first dive which makes it all the more wild to me that Lu Guang is ready to go to all the extremes

But also… assuming he didn’t actually take control of WQ but simply set up events to play out a certain way, just how much information did he have from the first timeline? How did he know that stalling Vein just long enough would result in his ‘death’?? What the heck happened in the first timeline???

RIP David Lynch.

David Lynch truly is one of my biggest inspirations. I remember my teachers begging me to watch his work because my storytelling 'evoked' him in some way, and when I finally did I felt like I had found a missing piece in my brain. Everything clicked, I was so inspired.

His surreal approach to art and storytelling only strengthened the weird road I had begun to go down with my own art at that time. I became a much more honest artist. I'll forever be thankful.

He taught me the importance of letting a piece of art stand on its own, existing as an explanation of itself. That the audience has an important role to play in experiencing the art- they are the ones that get to put together the breadcrumbs the artist leaves, finding their own personal explanations and meanings in it.

It's why I leave a lot of 'lore' out and purposely leave gaps in certain pieces of my work. It's because I want the audience to find their own truth, play in the world I make. With Be Kind, My Neighbor, I did this so deliberately. Great God Grove, too. And I saw you all craft your own theories and play in that world. It was so beautiful and I hope I can let my audience participate in that way for as long as I make art.

David Lynch, you were so weird, you were such a pioneer, you really understood how to express your soul, express the human condition, it's lights, darks, in such a personal and unique way. Thank you. RIP
