Drafting out a design for the Miku Expo contest!!

I'm still debating some of the details in this but I'm pretty happy with how it looks so far.

I spent a long ass time coming up with an idea that fit the theme, "universal positivity" is pretty vague I really wish we had more material to work with. I ended up deciding on a cheerleader idol who belives in her fans as much as they believe in her!

I was going to add more "idol fan" costuming, a happi or a headband, but I thought that might detract from her being an idol, especially when I felt like the cheerleading theme was kind of dominant (making idol costumes is hard I just kinda added frills to a cheerleading uniform LMAO). So instead of that, I added some lightsticks to compensate.

I really like the idea of her having a personal lightstick with a color to represent fans, and she does wotagei dances to encourage them.

Little 5 minute doodle of a personal headcanon, I really like the idea that vocaloids can speak to other instruments, to them music is a conversation.

Album Thoughts: HIVEMIND by Ninty

Currently listening to HIVEMIND by Ninty and it's like an hour long so I probably won't make an entire list of my thoughts on each song but I'm only 20 minutes in and there's already such a nice variety with the music oh my goodness. I feel like each one takes me somewhere completely new, I really like this album. I wanna go back and listen to some of these and try and get some inspo, these really make me want to make something. I think it's genuinely disappointing how aggressive twiyor shippers get towards anyone who has a different interpretation of their relationship. Everytime I see something about it come up on Twitter it leaves me so discouraged from further interacting with the fandom, despite it being one of my favorite series atm.

I personally read both Yor and Loid as somewhere on the aro/ace spectrum and their relationship as queer-platonic. It's extremely clear how much love, respect, and consideration there is between the two of them, but I've never seen anything that makes their relationship read as explicitly romantic.

That, and I think a family dynamic like that fits much better thematically in a series about cherishing non-traditional people and non-traditional relationships.

It's just really fucking discouraging seeing people say anyone who doesn't interpret their relationship as romantic lack reading comprehension, especially as someone who is on the aro spectrum and wants to see more representation for these different kinds of love. I feel very deeply seen in the writing of Spy x Family and it's kinda shitty to say anyone who disagrees with you doesn't understand what they're reading.
