This is an amazing analysis!!! I always sort of thought this about her appearances in the MCU, but knowing nothing about clothes I was never able to put it into words. Give this a read!

thinking about Wanda’s progression of outfits in the MCU;;

(disclaimer: these are just my thoughts and opinions lol i don’t know anything about anything. long rambly post AND SPOILERS ahead >>) 🦹‍♀️✨

^ in her comics and stuff, she’s usually portrayed like this. i think her costume makes gorgeous shapes, uses striking colors, and is visually delicious to look at, but of course, it is OVERLY sexual with no regard for human anatomy / functionality / physics lol. and, I admit, as an artist it’s FUN to draw Like This™, but as a consumer: i want variety. i want drama! evolution! characterization! 🙌🏼

so, as her character is REALIZED into live action, a reasonable conclusion to make is that: her comic outfit™ is conceptually beautiful on paper but…. we shouldn’t expect a 1:1 EXACT vision of this when translated IRL, right???

what the show did: wanda maximoff finally gets to fully embrace the scarlet witch, costume and all, and hint at the multiverse where tommy/billy are alive

what some people are focusing on: but Evan Peters isn't who we wanted him to be!

say what you will about wandavision but they truly killed it when they said “what is grief, if not love persevering?” and “you are my sadness and my hope, but mostly you are my love”

The way she was able to confront her grief!!! She really didn’t loose her family (at the end of the finale) because she made them!! They were personifications of her own emotions and she was able to deal and learn from them.

Okay so I totally get being somewhat upset about the Peter thing... I get it. But that disappointment best not overshadow Wanda’s arc, or imma break your doors down and snap y’all’s phones in half

That’s not how stories work, number one. Stories are not how many plot twists you can work in and how many things you can recognize from other things.

This was Wanda’s story. Period.
