long time no see

hi everyone!

I hope you’re doing well.

I haven't written a blogpost in quite a while, about a week, I think. it’s not really like I didn't have the time, cause I definitely had it, I’m on summer break and I'm not really doing much. on Wednesday I finally stated decluttering and cleaning my room, and I'm extremely happy about that! I kinda did it last summer as well, except not really, cause I just threw stuff around my room and put some things in bags that I hid in one of my “cabinets”. this year I'm really redoing my room, I'm even repainting it, I'm really over the moon. 

anyway, I went to Rabbi on Friday and came back today. Rabbi is the village from where my mum’s side of the family is (little detail about my life unveiled, freaking unbelievable).

anyhow, I started watching Sherlock on Netflix, and I absolutely adore it, I highly recommend you watch it, Sherlock’s way of thinking is absolutely brilliant, he is so meticulous, it’s unbelievable. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle truly was a genius, I'm really curious to read some of his work and maybe expand my English vocabulary, even though I feel like it’s at a pretty good point right now. I think my English could use a bit more vocabulary, especially because I kinda get stressed out and forget words when I'm speaking to natives and ppl I don't know well in general. 

I'm actually going to the Cambridge English class next year, ill be taking IGCSE global perspectives and biology, I'm really excited about that, but I guess I'm a little afraid I'm not gonna be good enough, we’ll see.

I apologise, I couldn't really find a better gif. actually, I could, I found a really cool one, but it wouldn't load, so I just went with this.

anyway, I finished reading love,simon by becky albertally about 45 mins/an hour ago, and I gotta say I absolutely loved it.

I actually started reading the book about a month ago, before I went to see the movie, and I really wanted to read it before I saw the movie, but I didn't manage to do it.

I kinda stopped reading for about 2/3 weeks, because of exams and stuff, and I just started reading it again 4 days ago. well, tonight I finished it and it’s freaking amazing, as freaking simon spier would say!

I'm sure you know this book, but, for those of you who have never heard of it, this book is really one-of-a-kind, and I honestly really think you should read it. 

it’s about this guy, simon spier, who is gay and closeted. another guy at his school reveals through a Tumblr called “creek secrets” (or something like that, I honestly can't really remember lol) that he’s gay and closeted too. simon decides to send him an email and this is how their relationship begins and proceeds for an extremely long time. eventually “blue”, the gay guy whose identity is unknown) finds out who “Jacques” is (btw Jacques is Simon’s pseudonym/fake name) and I guess he gets upset or something like that. now I won't spoil anything else, so you gotta find out on your own by reading the book or watching the film (although I highly recommend reading the book or first reading the book and then watching the movie).

lonely

hi again, this is my second post and it is actually being written on the same day I created my blog and wrote my first post.

in this quiet short text (at least I suppose it’s going to be quiet short) I'm going to talk about loneliness and about how sometimes I feel like I have no one, like there’s nobody that will be there for me, nobody that actually helps me, supports me, loves me and cares for me and my physical and mental health.

at the end of it all I know I will always have my parents, who will always love me, no matter what, and will most definitely support my every decision. I still feel like there’s no one who loves me, and by no one I truly do mean no one, not even myself.

there’s not really a way I cope with it, I guess I just let it slide and go away on its own, so if any of you have any tips on how to cope with loneliness, lmk.

my very first blogpost

hi everyone! 

I honestly don't really know what to say (or write, haha), so I'm just gonna introduce myself.

first of all: my name isn’t really hazel, and it would be weird if it were, considering I’m Italian and I live in Italy and Italian people don’t really have cool names like “hazel” and such.

that being said you aren’t gonna know my real name anytime soon, though you know where I live and I guess that’s enough for now.

the reason why this blog is called “chillyhazel” is because I have hazel/brown coloured eyes and I liked how “chilly” sounded.

ok that one gif I inserted because I just typed “chilly” in the search bar and I really liked how it looked.

I'm currently on summer break and I guess I thought I could start this blog as a way to spend some time, since I'm gonna be alone for a lot of time.

I decided that I'm gonna tell you a bit more about myself, cause people not knowing anything about me isn’t really what I'm used to. (as in my friends know lots of stuff about me, of course, and I hardly ever shut up while I’m with them):

okay so as I already told you I live in Italy, more specifically in the north, in a city surrounded by mountains, which is cold as heck in winter but freacking hot in summer

tbh I actually really like my town, the only bad thing about it (or about Italy, for that matter) is that trends and shops and brands and all that stuff “arrive late”. we don't have Starbucks, dunking donuts, kfc, chick-fil-a and all of those cool (but most definitely unhealthy) places - we only have McDonald’s, Burger King, and I think that’s about it.

now actual stuff about my person: I'm 15, I was born on November 23 of a year you can figure out on your own, which I'm not gonna insert in this “article”, just cause I don't really wanna put it out there (even though you can do the maths and know when exactly I was born).

now this is one of the gifs that pop up when you search for “Italy” and to be honest this was Italy probably twenty to thirty years ago, when I wasn't even born, when life was “easier” and free of stress (or way less stressful than it is now). Italy is just so hectic. not as hectic as New York, London, Paris or Barcelona, or any of those big a$$ cities, but it is hectic. just so you know, my town is actually pretty small, so it isn't really that hectic, but bigger towns such as Milan or Rome are extremely hectic and polluted. 

I apologise, I said hectic like twenty times in the last few sentences, and I feel like thats probably the most times the word “hectic” was used in just one paragraph.

I'm still here and you gotta deal with it, I'm sorry.

anyway I low-key was about to forget to tell you what my blog will be about; well, I’ll be talking about my life, my experiences, my school career (?) and all that jazz, but as wall as that I will be explaining to you stuff about Italy, pretty cool huh? (lmao I hope its cool)
