Stepping out of your cockpit and stumbling because you don't have the right number of legs.

Blinking your eyes out of sync because you don't have the right number anymore, don't have access to on board cameras the way you're supposed to.

Struggling to grab and pick things up because you have the wrong number of fingers.

Failing to recognize your face in the mirror without layers of armor plating over it.

Feeling like a brain pulled from its body and forced to function independently.

While playtesting Reactors & Romance something I noticed was players using the GM Toolkit for character creation. Which wasn't something I was expecting. Its not that they couldn't use it. It was designed to help GMs build some quick character details and connections on the spot for a game intended to be a low to no-prep. I should have realized players would find value in those things too, but that's part of playtesting right?

With that realization, I decided to formalize the character creation process. With a note that it's still a tool GMs can use too.

Looking back at my old posts cracks me up but also holy shit I've changed a lot.

I've been on this hellsite since 2012, original blog got nuked in the Great Titty Ban though. But remembering I referred to my spouse as the man-beast fuckin SLAUGHTERED me. Now he's just the Hose Band or The Spouse(tm).

We need to play Btech again someday, I miss it. Problem is we have no place to play it anymore since we got rid of the ginormous coffee table when we moved into our dinky 666 sq ft apartment (no joke, the floorplan says '666 sq ft')
