This is why the fundraisers you see are between $10,000 - 150,000. Palestinians have no choice but to raise that money which is why you all need to share those posts at the very least. Reblog those posts. Post them to your other social media accounts if you have them. Donate! Please, these people are in need

Her name was Saly, she was five years old. She was like any child, she probably liked to play with her toys, she was probably learning to read, she probably like to spend time with her family and friends.
Maybe she would have been a doctor, or a farmer, or a engineer. Maybe she would have advanced the field of physics or medicine, written a best seller novel or stared in a major movie production; Or she might have had a quieter life, the world might have never known her name, but her friends and family would have and that might have been enough.
But no one will ever know now because Israel took those lives away from her, the tens of thousands of possibles that lay before each child burning like candle lights in cool summer night sniffed out in an instant. A last story shared by thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza.

I previously rebloged a scam post. It is now deleted. It's sickening that there are people who see a genocide and decide to profit off it.
gaza scam warning
Hey gamers, recently there have been a number of scam blogs on tumblr claiming to be Gazan victims. They've been making a number of iterations of the exact same blog and story but with different names and sometimes different PayPal links.
Thus far, the content of these scams are being stolen from 2 real fundraisers. Please lend your aid to these people who need help instead of the disgusting scam farm
Help Haya Orouq's family escape Gaza
Help Rawan AbuMahady's family escape Gaza
These are examples within the past month which have been deleted.

Donation scams on tumblr are extremely common and anyone who has a tumblr account will encounter them at some point. They throw together a brand new blog with a story of needing aid, then use bots to go through follow lists and post notes to send messages to random users. Scambusting blogs like kyra45 do a lot of work to track and call out these scams when they surface.
Scam Spotting Tips
They send an ask often accompanied with a follow despite having never interacted with you before. Ask yourself: How did you find your blog? These interactions usually come out of nowhere when you have no original posts or interests they could've found you through, because they're just going down the lists of random blogs.
They reblog just enough posts to make you think that their blog is in-use when it is actually only a day or a few old. Enable timestamps and try find the blog's oldest post; if a blog seems old but still seems suspicious, be wary of post backdating
They often disable or delete comments on their donation post to hide comments that call them out. Open the notes and see if it says "some replies have been hidden, blocked or removed." Blocked/hidden comments sometimes still appear in reblogs of a post but not the original, so open a random reblog and see if telling comments appear there.
It isn't unusual for the story and the ask to either be exact copy-pastes of each other, or otherwise have very telling suspicious details, such as: using different names, having different goal amounts, contrasting story details, etc.
Like many of the above examples, they often have a completely random string of words as their blog name.
Reverse image searching can be a helpful giveaway if it works, but don't trust it - scammers often steal images from private Facebook groups/profiles so people don't find the source and think it's original
When you receive an ask from a blog like this, reporting them for spam or phishing and reporting the PayPal account for fraudulent activity does help get these accounts taken down.
In name of the situation, here are great verified resources to support real people who need help:

'More than anything' and episode 5 in general did things to me.
Especially the line "I'm grateful you're my daughter/father more than anything"
I need time to self reflect and recover from this attack on my poor heart

Oppressed individuals are always expected to be pretty, act in presentable ways, and have modern views that support the status quo. They should know their place and accept what happens to them silently.
When we cherry pick the beliefs of a culture to make it seem more in tune with the ones held by western societies we're upholding white supremacy and the illusion of a "Perfect Victim". We shouldn't need to do that.
Being "backwards" is not an invitation to be slaughtered mercilessly.
Being "ugly" is not an invitation to be slaughtered mercilessly.
Responding with anger doesn't make whatever made them angry in the first place invisible. Oooh how dare they, they should just shut up and raise awareness like good citizens.
All life is sacred.
Why do we need to fit into the ideal box of white patriotical society to prove that?

“Human shields” “affiliated with Hamas” “self defence” “tunnels”
It’s the same recycled arguments without ever addressing the actual issue at hand and with no real basis in reality or truth and no evidence.
Everyone who sees through their lies, questions them, criticizes them, so much as thinks negatively about them, is now “Hamas”.
Okay buddy.
These are the same people who started saying that the UN workers who were trying to help out in the border (and got murdered by them…more than 100 UN worker’s have been killed) are affiliated with Hamas, and that the whole organization was too.
Same thing about every Palestinian journalist documenting what’s going on.
This is the same country that called every Palestinian tho was killed since October 7 a “terrorist” and that “the children of Gaza brought this on themselves”
Keep in mind the legal team used Israel official’s own words against them, camera footage evidence, and even Israeli civilians themselves boosting about the Palestinian deaths, (amongst other things) in court. Like it’s all so very public, yet simply pointing it out (and acknowledging WAR CRIMES) makes you 1) a terrorist and 2) an antisemite. Apparently.

I'm reading Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I wonder why people kept saying it made snow too sympathetic?
I'm on chapter 5 and he's already so insufferable with some of the things he thinks and says.

The kids are all right
Tumblr media
Yesterday, my community service club was doing outside litter pickup, when I overheard one of my students talking about Israel killing kids.
“Yeah, Israel is killing Palestinian kids. Israel is killing children like us.”
“What!?”
*pulls out phone to show a video of babies in distress after the Israeli air strikes.”
“Huhh! Omg look at her!”
————————————
I keep thinking what he meant by “us.” Children their age, racially minoritized people, or was it something else?
—————————————
The children are listening.
