Hello my beautiful people,
We have finally reached the end of January and as we all know January is a longgg month, with Christmas and New Year a distant memory and with summer feeling like it’s way into the future, I already feel so proud of myself for what I have achieved and accomplished and there’s so much more to come.
Every month I will be taking you through the products/bits and pieces that I have been using and loving within beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
A lot of my favourites this month were either Christmas presents or things that I purchased during January.
Beauty
I’m going to start off my January favourites with my top beauty picks and this first product is something that has been on my beauty wishlist for a long time now. I was sent a sample size of the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm from feelunique.com after having made an order with them in December. I love trying out sample sizes of products before I commit to the full sized versions. I have used many cleansers during my life, but never have I used a cleansing balm and now I am starting to wonder why not? This is simply amazing. The tag line, ‘a little bit goes a long way’ applies to all of the beauty products featuring in this post, particularly this one. To use this all you need to do is take a small amount and rub between your hands, then in an upward, circular motion massage it into the skin (you can use it over your eyes and lips too), I normally do this for around 30 seconds to a minute, so that I don’t miss an inch of my skin. Take a warm face cloth and gently wipe away all of your makeup and dirt from during the day. It’s as simple as that. It smells like you have just been in a spa and leaves your skin feeling refreshed, clean and super soft. All the things that you would want from a makeup remover.
Another product that I have been dying to try and test is Liz Earle’s Superskin Concentrate for night oil that I received for Christmas and so far has been a skin saviour this month. This oil is aromatic just like the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and again has that spa feeling. The thing that I love the most about this product is that it is suitable for all skin types, so no matter what problem your skin has it will work for you. For example I have oily/combination skin and for me it re-balances the skins and gives it some much needed radiance. It also plumps up more mature skin. The version that I have is in a rollerball making is easy to apply and I have no product waste.
Next we move onto a nail product and my nails have been in need of some TLC for a long time. If you follow me on Instagram (@charlottelouisepage) or Snapchat (@clpage90) then you would have seen me going to a spa earlier in the month and getting shellac for the first time. The lady who did my nails recommended that I use the award-winning CND Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner every day on my nails to keep them growing and healthy. I have been using this religiously since I got it and I haven’t looked back. It can be quite pricey, but as I have been saying a little bit goes a long way and know that this will last me for months to come.
For makeup I don’t have a lot of favourites this month due to the fact that I have been wearing the same makeup products (or no makeup whatsoever) all month long. One thing that I have been reaching for on a daily basis is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Suit Eyeshadow Palette. Seriously guys this is my go-to day-through-night palette and it fits nicely inside my handbag. My favourite shade is Toast.
Fashion
You will see a theme running through my fashion favourites as they are all gym/sports related and that’s mainly because I have jumped on the health bandwagon and joined the gym (which I am immensely proud for doing and never thought it would actually happen). I was in desperate need of some new trainers and came across my dream pair at my local Nike Outlet. Outlets are a great place to find a range of usually heavily discounted trainers. The ones I have are the Nike In Season TR5 trainers in black/grey/white combo, so they are super comfy and go with everything. They are specifically designed for training and going to the gym. They tick all of the right boxes for me and I literally haven’t taken them off since getting them. I think the RRP was around £70 and they were reduced to £30. I also had a gift card, so only ended up paying £15. My first real bargain of 2017!
This next item is what I call a marmite item, you will either love them or hate them. Of course I love them and I found them unexpectedly whilst shopping with my sister in New Look. I was after some new joggers and from afar over on the sale rail I spotted these bad boys. They look very similar to an Adidas pair that Kim Kardashian West sported recently and I was won over. They are a more fitted pair of joggers, but they are very flattering and I fit into a size 10! Stay tuned because they might just feature in an upcoming outfit post. They aren’t available online, but I have linked some similar ones below.
Another thing I have been searching for is a new hoodie and at the same time I purchased the marmite trousers (their official name) I came across this gorgeous pink oversized hoodie. I love the oversized, boyfriend fit of this and even went up a size to make it extra warm and cosy, even though it has a fleecy lining inside. The colour is another thing that drew me to this hoodie and most of my recent purchases have been in this colour. I know this is going to be the perfect pink for spring. This colour is no longer available online (check your local store), however I have linked the bright pink option.
Lifestyle
A Christmas present to myself was the Happiness Planner (I bought mine from Anthropologie) and it has been the best purchase. If you want to get your life more organised and you love writing lists like I do then this is so worth the money. I have the 100-day one, so you don’t feel obliged to write in it everyday if you struggle to keep a diary.
Joe Wicks aka The Body Coach is somebody who has really motivated me throughout this month and his latest offering, Lean in 15 – The Sustain Plan has pushed me into joining the gym, cook more (I have already cooked several of his recipes) and generally look after myself better for a happier, healthier and leaner lifestyle. I will never get tired of reading this book and plan on buying his other two books.
A special mention has to go to my most used product this month and that’s my Nutri-Ninja 900w Personal Blender (not pictured). This was my main Christmas present and I seriously cannot stop using it. It makes everything from smoothies and juices to soups and sauces. I love experimenting with it and trying new flavour combinations. This has been the leader in me having a healthy outlook on life and getting more fruits and vegetables into my diet.
Items I have mentioned
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate for night
CND Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner
Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Suit Palette
Nike In Season TR5 Trainers
Similar Black Slim Leg Joggers/Similar Black 3-Stripes Joggers
New Look Pink Oversized Hoodie
The 100-Day Happiness Planner
Lean in 15 The Sustain Plan by Joe Wicks The Body Coach
Nutri Ninja Personal Blender 900W
What are some of your favourite products from January?
Thank you so much for reading.

Hey guys! Happy New Year! Here we are, 2017 is upon us. Don’t worry I am not going to start listing my new year’s resolutions that I probably won’t end up sticking to. However I am hoping that this year will be a productive, healthy and happy one, not just for myself, but for all of you.
My first post of this brand new year is obviously going to be my what I got for Christmas 2016 haul. I love seeing what other people got for Christmas because it always gives me great ideas for people’s birthdays etc. Just a little disclaimer, this is in no way to brag about what I got! I appreciate everything that I get and feel very lucky.
As always I will try and link everything down below to make it easier for you all. Now let’s get started.
Main Present
Every year I get what is known as my “main present”, which basically means it is the most expensive item. This Christmas I got a Nutri Ninja 900 Watts Blender. I have wanted one of these for about a year now and I thought Christmas would be the perfect time to ask for one. This product makes just about anything from smoothies and soups to desserts and sauces. Also it is very simple to use. If you guys would like a post/review on the ninja and how to use it, then let me know.
Beauty
I received a lot of beauty gifts this year (which comes as no real surprise) and I can’t wait to try them all out. Some of them are new products and some are old favourites.
From my sister I received the Liz Earle Daily Ritual Gift Set that includes a bottle of the classic 100ml Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, 2 muslin cloths, the 30ml spritz version of their Instant Boost Skin Tonic and the 10ml roller ball of the Superskin Concentrate for night (the product that I had on my list). Liz Earle is one of my all time favourite skincare brands and every LE product I have used I have fallen in love with and seen results.
Also from my sister I got two beauty products that I had on my Christmas list. The first one is the Tangle Teezer Original in the Plum Delicious colourway. I already have the compact one in my handbag, but wanted the original to keep at home. The other is the Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection 301 Flat Contour Brush. This has been on my wishlist for a while too. As it stands I love Real Techniques brushes, but this is my first from their Bold Metals Collection. It looks too pretty to use though.
My mum got me two divine beauty gift sets, the first from The Body Shop. I always love receiving The Body Shop products as a gift, mostly because of the beautiful packaging (I am a sucker when it comes to packaging) and I have a collection of boxes and bags that products come in that I normally use for storage. This Christmas she got me the Mango Beauty Bag. You seriously can’t go wrong with a gift set from The Body Shop. The other comes from Marks & Spencer. Their Nature’s Ingredients brand is what I would call a more affordable version of The Body Shop, but still just as lovely to use in my opinion. I was there when my mum bought this for me and it is the Super Fruits Butter Collection. An array of my favourite fruits together in this one collection is a winner. It also has a lip butter inside, which I am itching to try out.
My manager was so sweet, as she got me the Mini Must Haves Set by Ted Baker. I don’t know if she knew this, but Ted Baker is another of my favourite beauty brands. This set is so cute.
Some of my friends followed the beauty gift set buying trend also and I ended up with the Victoria’s Secret Blush Fragrance Gift Set. If anybody ever wants to know a fail safe brand to buy from for me, then VS has to be it. I can never have enough of their fragrances. Another fragrance I got was one I haven’t tried before and it is the Heat Seduction by Beyonce gift set.
The final two gift sets come from my best friend, who I have known for almost 15 years now! She definitely knows the kinds of things that I like and she actually bought me the same gift set that I was originally going to buy for her. The gift set in question is the Lancome Excessive Look Gift Set which comes with the Hypnose Drama Mascara (another wishlist product). I’m always looking for a new mascara because it’s a product that I cannot live without. The final beauty gift comes from a brand that I was introduced to only a year ago is the Dr. Organic Rose Otto Perfect Complexion Gift Set. It comes with the face mask, face scrub and the facial serum.
Books/CDs/DVDs
The older I get the more books I want to buy. Joe Wicks aka The Body Coach is somebody I discovered last year on YouTube and has become a household name in the past year. I love his passion and enthusiasm for all things health and fitness. He has really motivated me to start taking better care of myself. I was lucky enough to get a copy of his latest book, Lean in 15: The Sustain Plan. I have already made a couple of his recipes, I know I will use this on a weekly basis.
The other recipe book is a gift from my sister and it’s Tanya Bakes by none other than my favourite blogger Tanya Burr. She has inspired me so much when it comes to blogging and I just love everything that she does. This book is something that again I will be using a lot over the years.
This year’s Christmas present to myself (yes I am one of those people that buys presents for them self) was the Happiness Planner. Again I wanted to get one last year, but I know they can be quite expensive compared with other planners. This year I saw it unexpectedly while I was out Christmas shopping with my friend in Anthropologie and I knew at that moment I had to get one. This year is most definitely the year to start planning my life better.
Something that I wasn’t expecting to get was from my mum that she put in my stocking was the Poldark Deluxe Edition CD. Anyone that knows me will already be fully aware that my favourite TV show at the moment (and when I say favourite, I mean obsessed over) is Poldark. I didn’t even know there was a CD out! My mum cleverly got this for me and I was so surprised. Well done mother.
To go along with the CD my aunt and uncle bought me the recently released Poldark Series 2. I will happily watch it over and over again until series 3. Actually I am watching it as I type this. The final DVD is Inside Out, the Disney Pixar movie that I wanted to see when it first came out, but life got in the way.
Food/Drink
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without receiving food and/or drink related presents. I of course received many because I love my food and drink. Mostly chocolate I must warn you, but then who doesn’t love chocolate.
My sister knows me all too well and knows how much I love Nutella. I get through Nutella like there’s no tomorrow. Maybe that’s why she decided to get me the 1kg (family size) jar. Don’t worry I will share it. Another thing I love is the Nando’s Peri Peri Salted Chips and I was so happy when I opened the Nando’s Peri Peri Salt and Salt Shaker Gift Set. Now I can have the chips at home.
My mum without fail will always buys me and my sister chocolates for Christmas. This time around I got a tube of Dairy Milk Buttons, as well as a large bar of Galaxy Milk Chocolate, a 4 pack of Kinder Bueno Chocolate Bars and a box of Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashells. Standard Christmas stocking fillers, but always welcomed.
My friend got me a bottle of prosecco, an 850g bar of Dairy Milk Chocolate, a cocktail making set and a cast iron skillet to make brownies.
Miscellaneous
These are all of the remaining presents that I received. Every year something that I can expect are a new pair of pyjamas and slippers. I got some super cosy slippers from Accessorize and my PJs are from Boux Avenue.
This faux fur hot water bottle is just what I need for those cold January nights we are having. My mum bought this as one of my stocking fillers.
My aunt and uncle got me a new jewellery box, which I have been after for a very long time. My old one was broken and just not big enough to store my jewellery collection. It was time for an upgrade. This timeless dark charcoal grey one is the perfect addition to my bedroom. It gave me a good excuse to clear out all of my old jewellery too.
This Victoria’s Secret Wristlet Wallet was another unexpected gift from my friend. This will be perfect for when I don’t want to take a big bag out with me, there’s space for my phone, cards, change and notes. It’s a grained material and black, so won’t mark or wear easily.
My final present that I have to share with you is probably one of my top ones because it is me, but something I never thought existed. This Louis Vuitton mirrored coaster is so cool and my sister really did well with this one. I know it’s not real LV, but just the idea of having the LV logo on a coaster gets me excited. It’s the small things in life.

Hi guys and first things first I would like to welcome you all to my blog, The Pages of Charlotte.
At the beginning of last month I went on holiday to one of my all time favourite cities, NEW YORK!
As well as a lot of sight seeing, eating and walking, I managed to squeeze in a fair few hours of shopping too. In this post, I’m going to share with you what I picked up in the Big Apple.
I’m going to separate the items by stores and at the end I will show you all of the souvenirs that I purchased. If I can I will try and link everything for you at the bottom of the post.
Bloomingdale’s
Probably one of my favourite department stores in the US, we spent a lot of time there, mostly just browsing the many floors of endless designers.
The first purchases I made were a Bloomingdale’s own makeup bag and a passport cover from a brand called ban.do. I have been wanting a new Bloomingdale’s makeup bag for a few years now, since my last one was wearing away. I decided on this one because it’s different to the classic one that I had previously bought in Florida.
I don’t know why I bought a passport cover, but I absolutely adore this one from ban.do (a brand that is known to me). I knew that I didn’t like my current passport cover anymore and felt that it needed updating. This new one is so me.
My most expensive purchase from Bloomingdale’s comes from the jewellery department. Something I have been on the hunt for is a simple, rose gold bangle and when I was looking around the jewellery there it was staring me in the face. This beautiful bangle is from none other than Kate Spade. It’s timeless and understated, however on the inside it has the quote, ‘stop and smell the roses’ along with the Kate Spade branding. I love it so much and glad that I found it in New York. My mum also bought the same one, but in silver.
Macy’s
From Macy’s I picked up this very sophisticated looking mug with the classic Macy’s branding. I wanted to get a mug from New York that was going to remind me of my time in the city, but the ones I saw at all of the tourist attractions I visited wasn’t what I was looking for. This one is so perfect and very Instagram worthy.
Bath & Body Works
A store that we don’t have in the UK is Bath and Body Works, so I was really excited to take a look. Of course I ended up coming out with a bag full of goodies, as did both my mum and sister.
The first product is from their aromatherapy range and it’s the stress relief eucalyptus spearmint (strong scented) sugar body scrub. Honestly guys this stuff is so de-stressing it’s unreal. I have only used it once so far, but I felt so relaxed after using it.
Another scrub I purchased was their True Blue Spa sugar 60-second manicure scrub. Before I went away to NY I treated myself to a manicure at a local Dove Spa and the lady used an almond manicure scrub on my hands and arms. It was the most amazing hand massage, so when I saw this in Bath and Body Works I knew I had to try it. This one has a sweet, candy smell to it.
I bought two other hand products, one that my mum recommended to me, which is the sparkling limoncello nourishing hand cream (this is my favourite smell of all of the things that I got) and a mini anti-bacterial hand gel in the scent wine not? (this really does smell like Merlot).
The final three things I got were on special offer together. I got two of their fabulous fragrance mists in the scents champagne, apple and honey and sweet cinnamon pumpkin; both very autumnal scents. Finally I got the 24 hour moisture ultra shea body cream in warm vanilla sugar.
Sephora
I can’t tell you how hyped I was about going to Sephora for the first time in my life. It was an experience I will never forget. I loved the place and did some serious shopping in there. I could have bought everything, now that I have turned into a fully fledged makeup addict. I even had to tell the assistant to put stuff back because I was spending so much money. Bad times. Here’s what I picked up from this little slice of heaven on Earth.
As soon as I walked in the door I saw an array of Sephora’s own branded face, hand and feet masks. I picked up the one that stood out to me the most, which was the Green Tea Face Mask. At only $6, it was the cheapest thing I got there. Also from Sephora’s own range I got their Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara in black just because I wanted to try one of their makeup items and I love trying new mascaras (I’m a bit of a mascara connoisseur).
Shades from L-R Venus, Foxy, Walk of Shame, Naked2, Faint, Crave
The Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes are something I have always wanted to get, but never have until now. However I wasn’t willing to pay $54 for one of their regular sized palettes. That’s when I saw this mini Naked Basics palette near the checkout at a reasonable price. They are definitely my kind of shades and they are all matte too.
Another product that has been on my makeup wishlist for a long time is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. You guys don’t know how happy I was to get my hands on one of these. The hardest part was choosing which colour to go for. In the end I went for the shade Auburn. I still don’t know if it’s the right colour for my brows, but I think it looks fine.
My final two purchases from Sephora are from Kat Von D. This is the one brand I was most looking forward to having a browse through. I literally stood there for ages trying to decide which of her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks to choose. In the end I picked up two very different end-of-the-spectrum shades. The first one is called Mother and is a dusty mauve, pink shade, whilst the other one is more of a vampy, purple called Exorcism.
Victoria’s Secret
People who know me will know that Victoria’s Secret is one of my favourite shops. I couldn’t wait to have a look around their flagship store (which is right next to Macy’s). I bought a brand new hoodie from their PINK range in khaki (sold out online). I love me some good loungewear. I also bought 5 of their panties for $27.50, but not going to share pictures of those with you guys. I think this is such a good deal considering most of them are $10 each!
Souvenirs
I picked up a few souvenirs and gifty bits from some of the tourist attractions that we visited. They’re standard holiday buys really.
From the Statue of Liberty I got this cute keyring with a all different parts of Miss Liberty. I also picked up my first Christmas related item of the year in the form of a Statue of Liberty decoration that came in this box.
This fun postcard is a nice, decorative piece that I found at the Top of the Rock gift shop and for 99¢ it was the cheapest thing I bought overall. Once it is framed I can put it up on my bedroom wall.
At 9/11 I found this small USA flag, which again is a cool, decorative piece for my room. Perfect for somebody who loves America.
Finally something that I had wished that I bought the first time I went to New York that I found at a souvenir shop near our hotel called I Love NY Gifts. This t-shirt is a staple NY buy.
The final item I picked up was a present for my dog Charlie. I couldn’t resist buying this for him. An NYPD dog bandana!

Tumblr media
Hi guys!
I know I have been away for awhile, but I am back now with yet another Boots haul to share with you. If you didn’t already know, I am obsessed with Boots and I somehow manage to spend a lot of money in there every time I visit. I think it’s because over the past few years I have gotten more into makeup and trying new brands/products.
Let’s get started. As in my previous haul post I will…
