Well @aldiuk has upped their game. Took a trip to aldi today as aways and look at these little gems I found. The new SlimFree range. Of course as soon as I spotted these I had to do my normal macro check to see if they were a gimmick or actually lived up to their claims. To my amazement they were spot on. The macros are pretty impressive, as far as microwave food goes, with some meals sporting a whole 58g of protein for less than 400 cals. Definitely a winner in my eyes, admittedly I've not taste tested them yet, but I did buy a few so I will report back with my thoughts. A bit of DIY today. I’m really loving cropped tops and jumpers at the mo, but I’m way too cheap to pay the silly prices company’s want for essentially half a top. 😂 So this happened. I bought this hoodie in a charity shop for 2 quid and then just cut along above the pocket. ✂️ Job done. -

A bit of a #flashbackfriday. 💪 Roughly 5 months between these pictures and 4kg of weight gain. When I started my ‘fitness journey’ building strength was never on my radar.
As a woman you are always told to 'lose weight’, 'tone up’ etc 😒
It’s bullshit!
Over the last few years my mindset has shifted greatly, with inspiration like @megsquats, @steficohen and pretty much every crossfit woman, I have come to see the overside.
Strength is beautiful!
Lifting heavy shit and eating all the food is my only goals now, as well as encouraging others to see past the socially acceptable 'get thin’ movement.
Finding crossfit and powerlifting has been the best thing I’ve ever done and I am happy and proud to be a strong capable woman. 😊💪 -

Today I ate doughnuts, all three of them. I wanted them so I bought them. 😋
Am I worried about weight gain? No Will it stunt my progress? No Did they taste awesome? Yes Would I do it again? Definitely, but would buy more. 😉
When trying to get fit, lose weight, gain muscle etc it’s easy to look online and think the only way to achieve your goals is to ‘eat clean’, train 23 hours a day and only drink unicorn tears.
But people online only show you their best side. The side that shows them drinking smoothies and munching on salad mainly, but that’s not the full story.
What they don’t tell you is being 'perfect’ is hard. Of course they get craving and probably binge on ice cream now and then, but by not showing the world that people start to think they are doing something wrong when they are having a bad day and reach for the B&J.
This is when bad habits start.
Cravings are fine, it’s how often you give in to them that matters. Restricting yourself too much is when problems arise.
So yes today I fancied doughnuts, I had been within my calories for nearly 2 weeks and i wanted a treat. But the difference here is that’s all I had, I didn’t then grab a chocolate bar and a takeaway to call the day a write off.
Tomorrow is a new day and back on plan. 'One cheat won’t make you fat, like one salad won’t make you thin’

So I never thought I would post one of these ‘real’ vs 'fake photos, but lately I’ve become a lot more aware of edited photos online…..and just how easy it is.
I don’t know if maybe I was blind to it or just naive, but of course I’ve looked at pics on Instagram and Facebook and thought where must I be going wrong?
I eat right, I train as much as I can and I don’t look like these girls. Obviously my goals and mentality has change massively now and I’m all about strength and general good health, but I can see how all these girls get sucked in.
Editing this picture was incredibly easy.
I downloaded one app and 2 minutes later I had a completely new version of myself in front of me.
Bigger butt, smoother skin, flat stomach even a slight tan.
I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was and how realistic the results were.
So my take away from this is DON’T BELIEVE ALL YOU SEE yes I know it’s been said a million times, but we really need that message to sink in.

In my first year of crossfit I went straight out and bought myself a WOD journal and at the time I thought it was great. That was until I actually started writing in it. I quickly realised there wasn’t enough space to write down everything I needed to and it was very limited in ways to keep track of progress. So a year later and a little wiser I bought myself a ‘page a day’ diary, crossed out a few headings and bobs your uncle…..the most perfect WOD book and only cost £4 from Tesco opposed to the 13 quid I spent before. 📖✏🏋️‍♀️

So this happened tonight…. Hell yeah finally 100kg deadlift. 💪 My main goal before my 30th birthday smashed.
Thats 12kg off double body weight. Thats definitly my next goal. I’m so god damn happy.

Let’s talk cheap sports wear. I popped in to my local Home Bargains store this morning and found these leggings for just 2.99 and curiosity got the better of me. So I bought them and thought I would share the experience with you guys. So here’s a little review….. Material 6/10 Squat proof 7/10 Fit 7/10 Price 10/10
Overall 7/10
Overall really not bad. No they’re not comparable to the likes of Nike or other top brands, but they are definitely worth a go just for general training. The fit was good although the sizes do run a bit small. I bought a small but would definitely need a medium if I bought more. Also they don’t feel really cheap or too synthetic. • • •
