These next months I want to really diversify my backgrounds portfolio, and I feel like my last profesionnal projects can't fully support me if I chose to put them together nicely (honestly huge projects but not that diverse in style or settings) (my main job goal is okay as it is, but I'd like to have the backgrounds options available just in case).
I'd love some ideas of backgrounds I could draw, scenes, settings, a bit of narrations, whatever. I guess it can be anything, from original to fanart, historical... my asks are open so if you are struck with inspiration, feel free to send some words!

The series Les Mythes Vikings, for which I could work, is now available for everyone to watch on Arte, then releasing every sunday on television. This is a small selection of the backgrounds I could draw.

Is it alright if I draw inspiration and reference your art for learning to render digitally?
{I know you're on break for various reasons so no pressure to answer lol, thought i would ask. Everything you're doing sounds really cool!!}
Hello!
Of course you can, and never hesitate to take inspiration from any artist you like. If you take direct reference from a certain illustration you can give credit, or not, I won't be monitoring every person on earth that likes my art haha.
My only tip I can give you on top of that is that if you want to effectively learn a certain medium (here, for learning digitally), referencing my art might not be the most efficient way to do it. Learning to draw digitally means first learning art foundamentals, and that you learn by studying a lot of traditional stuff, and then applying them to the digital art form. And I don't think looking at my art will teach you how to use correctly an art software. But that's my own opinion, you do you!
Anyway thank you for this ask, I hope you get to achieve what you want in art!

Little update I guess since I haven't been posting much lately.
I've taken a job for a few months (currently midway to finishing it) and it's been :
1. A lot of work
2. My social life. I have enjoyed meeting new people who have become friends and I actually go out more so I haven't really thought about personal art that much.
It's a big production some of you might know and enjoy (it's for Adult Swim but I can't say more until it's released, I am under a very heavy NDA) so in a few months you might see my work without even knowing it.
Regarding social media, some stuff accumulated for the past few months (social, mental and administrative) which crushed me in a way that going on a device with internet has made me anxious and going on social media has been tedious (euphemism. it made me an absolute wreck.) but I'm learning to get better with that and might get the help I need in a few months.
Also I'll have my final year of studies coming up next so it will take all my time and willpower to get it done.
All that combined explains my lack of art and presence here, so yeah.
I'm not like, being sorry here, because there is nothing to apologize for, but a quick update might put some of you at ease.
So yes, I'm learning to live without social media and won't really get back to my old posting ways, as for my art, if I make personal ones it's highly probable I keep it for myself and won't post it on here.

Hey buddy just thought I'd let you know someone tried to steal your art. Just yknow, incase you didn't know.
Hi,
Can anyone who knows what this ask is about drop the case once and for all? Leave every party involved alone and don't contact any of us ever again about it, thanks.
If not, have a nice day <3

speedpaint anon here -
thank you so much for taking the time to answer my ask and showing some of your processes!! i totally understand issues with doing art, ive been going through my own very extended artblock and lately you're probably one of my favorite artists and its really inspired me to try to at least brush up on my skills every once in a while. your art is just so... raw in a way that grabs me.
Thank you so much again for those kind words!
If it can reassure you, I've been mostly in art block since february of 2023. There are always moments where creativity comes back so don't even worry about it. Plus, even if you don't draw, you learn all the time, keep your eyes open and you'll learn from others, colours you like, compositions, inspirations, all that works itself in the back of your mind all the time, so when you get back to drawing it's already there for you to pick from.
Nevertheless I'm glad to read this message, that even my weird little drawings I do once every 4 months can make other people want to draw, thank you again!

do you have any speedpaints or anything documenting your sketching and painting/rendering process? your art has been such a big inspiration it'd be so cool to see how you do your pieces, if it's not too much trouble of course.
Hello!
First of all thank you for your kind message! I have a lot of trouble with art right now (on top of everthing else going on), so reading this makes me feel better, if I can inspire at least one person then my job here is done.
I don't really have any speedpaint that I recorded, for various reasons (knowing that my screen is recorded makes me draw differently, I don't like using more space than necessary on my computer, I tend to take breaks all the time while drawing so it wouldn't look great on video).
I have an old speedpaint from 2020 :
youtube
And a more recent one to show my linework process :
Otherwise I don't have anything else to show, sorry!
