observations / notes on aquarius moons
[these are just observations of my friends w aqua moons]
- aquarius moons and talking about past/current emotional trauma with their friends as a way of venting and bonding
- but will still only talk about their feelings and emotions if they’re comfortable with you
- also, aquarius moons and talking about their current friends and how much they love them + past experiences with them
- i’ve noticed 5H aqua moons are a lot more quiet when it comes to their emotions - but a lot of their emotions have to deal with relationships and love
- 6H (aqua) moons are a lot more serving and continue to give when they know they shouldn’t, and end up hurt about it

astrology for the week of sunday, august 2nd 2020
monday, august 3rd — full moon in aquarius
perfect time to let go of / get rid of things that no longer serve you. since aquarius is ruled by uranus, it is also important that we take action towards things we want to change [+ get justice]. think of this full moon as a recharge.
tuesday, august 4th — mercury enters leo
this is more about self expression and self care / focusing on ones self + our own goals rather than the collective / group of others. expressing yourself through communication. we have more confidence with the way we communicate, but should still work on hearing what others have to say.
friday, august 7th — venus enters cancer
lovely time to spend with family / nurturing others that you care about [with leo mercury we’re extroverted w communication + but w cancer venus introverted with expressions of love]. best time to think about what you really want from a love connection — we’re gentler when it comes to love. be gentle with yourself and others.

chiron retrograde
What is Chiron? Let’s start by saying there’s often debate on whether Chiron is an asteroid or a comet. For this, we’ll simply refer to it as an asteroid. The asteroid orbits the Sun between Saturn and Uranus. Chiron is named after Chiron, the centuar in greek myth. Chiron was a teacher and healer, but ultimately could not heal himself after being hit with poisoned arrows.
In astrology, Chiron is coined “The Wounded Healer”. Chiron represents those inner wounds and insecurities that you need to heal from but just can’t seem to heal completely. It represents things we may be able to see and heal in others, but not in ourselves. These wounds were likely brought up in our childhood.
Chiron is in retrograde from July 11, 2020 until December 15th, 2020 in Aries. This retrograde is all about bringing up wounds that we often leave behind, or ignore and, with Chrion being in Aries during this time, facing them. It is a time for healing and uncovering those wounds.
Here are examples of Chiron within ones chart using the house that rules it. I feel the house placement in the most important part of Chiron, since the house represents where this wound is at and how we can help ourselves [and others] heal this wound. Use this calculator to find your Chiron sign and house.
2H Chiron - To have Chiron in the 2H means that your wounds come from your [lack of] self-esteem/self worth. You may feel like you aren’t good or ‘worthy’ enough and in turn, value other possessions above yourself. There also might be issues with saving money or holding onto valuable possessions for too long / attaching yourself to object. It’s likely that you're able to help others who are feeling this way in their life, but you downplay your own emotions/feelings.
4H Chiron - Issues with family / the mother. Having some sort of emotional or physical disconnect within your home and family life. There could be issues with detaching emotionally, especially when it has something to do with family or intense feelings -- there's a disconnect. However, you’re able to help others and be a secure person for them.
7H Chiron - Since 7H has to do with partnerships, people with 7H Chiron feel a disconnect with partnerships - usually of the romantic variety. This could be due to your own parental figures. If you have 7H Chiron, it’s likely that you tend to feel unworthy of love or like you may never find it. It’s possible that people with this placement tend to heal their partners in relationships, or attract people that need healing.
During this current Chiron retrograde, we should figure out where out wounds come from and not deny that they exist, as that only causes more hurt. Through recognizing these wounds, we can plan direct action to heal them.

Chiron in Astrology
Chiron is another ‘infamous’ asteroid, located in between Saturn and Uranus, bridging lessons and structure with change and revolution, and also physical planets (Saturn to sun) to the spiritual and ethereal (Uranus to Pluto)
Like all planetary configurations, Chiron represents another childhood experience that structured a part of our personality.
Chiron from my own personal studies indicated the aspects of us that were rejected by the caregivers and/or other people and conditions surrounding the environment growing up.
These rejected parts of ourselves are then suppressed into the subconscious.
Chiron then shows us the darker voice within ourselves that tell us “You aren’t worthy” and “You’re not good enough at this (sign/house)” - as it became integrated into our personality during childhood.
Suppressed subconscious thinking and programming then becomes a point by where we unwillingly ‘trip ourselves up’ in these aspects of our lives.
This subconscious wound formed due to childhood conditioning (intentional or unintentional) that created patterns in the behaviour that can lead to reoccurring experiences of pain and trauma, that remains 'unhealed’ due to the emotional imprint left behind and the inability to integrate these traumatised aspects of ourselves.
Through our own unhealed wound, the understanding of our own pain can allow us provide healing to others in the area in which we believe we lack.
However, this greatly varies on the level of maturity and consciousness of the individual. Much shadow work on the self and integrating the traumatised aspects of ones own personality is needed before one can even attempt to heal another.
Chiron is almost like our own talent or gift where we have an incredible ability to empower others to heal themselves.
…
The house area indicates what area of life the wound formed, and the sign dictates how we received this wound, and how we can heal others in this area of life and also the ways in which we can learn to accept and integrate as part of our damaged ‘self’.
We may also often put ourselves down in this area of life, feeling a consistent internal dislike of oneself. However, we may be incredibly talented here also. Others may recognise these talents even though we may continue to reject them.
The 'key’ to Chiron is to recognise these rejected, hurt and wounded parts of ourselves, and use these talents to help heal others, in turn improving our confidence in these life areas ourselves.
…
This post was specifically written for the house placement of Chiron since itits orbit often fluxes between generations. The signs in essence act differently from the way planets act within areas, so take this into account when reading descriptions to combine your Chiron placement.

Do you have any resources for someone new to and interested in witchcraft?
took me a minute to do this because I didn’t want to miss too much, but ofc open to talking about things if there are any questions !
before i unpack loads of different information on witchcraft. remember that everyone’s journey into spirituality and witchcraft is massively different. there is absolutely no “right” or “correct” way to go about being a witch. everything is more or less a personal thing. choose the things that are right to your journey or the things that you’re drawn to. if what you’re doing or seeing doesn’t resonate with you, leave it. witchcraft is ultimately what you make it
remember that the internet is a BIG and broad area. there’s so much information to take in, and you may not know where to start. and that’s okay. however, note that somethings don’t work and that’s also okay. know that some people are only here to mislead others and use their gifts for negativity 🧿 while other people will kindly and graciously share information that they know.
(currently writing up a bunch of different posts for my divination or “witchblr” sideblog @celestialaphrodite — posts will range everywhere from astrology, tarot, crystals and candles,, etc etc)
anyways, information is here and if there are any questions, i am more than happy to share what i know and learn with you what i don’t. i also understand that this may be a lot of information, so don’t feel like you gotta read alll of it so soon, so i’ve split it into a few different topics.
types of witches/witchcraft
starting this off with types of witches. there are SOO many different types and forms of witches and witchcraft.
this article from thought catalogue explains a lot of different types of witches. as well as this article from wiccanow
more “modern” witch types are city witches and pop culture witches. there are also witches known as “closet witches”, those who aren’t necessarily able to come out as a witch. don’t feel like you need to flaunt your craft either, find what works for you.
don’t feel like you need to claim a specific thing either, because like i’ve said, every journey is different and you shouldn’t have to feel like you have to know, try, and/or be everything.
and id have to say something on pagan witchcraft since we’re talking about this. do not feel as though you have to be pagan (or wiccan) to practice witchcraft. you do not need to be a specific religion to practice something. also, don’t feel like witchcraft has anything to do with the devil, cause it doesn’t. unless you want it to, of course.
working with deities/spirits/ancestors**
**i'm explaining this point a bit further later in this post, but if you are white, do not use deities or work with spirits that don't fuck with you or your ancestors. do not use things that do not belong to you.
african deities
greek deities
norse deities
egyptian deities
here’s a list of deities from wikipagan
don’t go fucking around with spirits all willy nilly, they will fuck you up. if anything, work with your ancestors. all on them for guidance.
grimoires, spells, and other witchy supplies
on your journey, i recommend keeping a notebook (or a google doc) of what you learn. every single thing that you learn and that works, you should write down (or type). grimoires (or, as they’re often called, book of shadows) are used for you to keep track of what you learn. write down spells, invocations, key things, quite literally WHATEVER you want. you could also have more than one for different topics/subjects!
see, the thing about spells is that, not all of them will work, and as i’ve repeatedly said, that is more than okay. you have to practice them, study them, use them; and separate the ones that work, from the ones that don’t.
when learning about spells, there are different times to preform each one, whether it’s a specific day, hour or moon cycle. there also may be specific tools to use when preforming a spell or ritual. working with these different advantages(?) are going to help your spells come true. as well as the power of belief. believing in your spells, in the magic, yourself and your craft.
of course there are many different free spell books on the internet. the internet is your friend (but also your enemy)
note that you shouldn’t feel like you need to buy so many supplies. i work a lot with candle magic, and all that requires is my intentions, a candle, and some source of fire.
links on:
sigils: sigil magic (lonerwolf), creating and activating sigils (sigildaily)
talismans/amulets: talismans, amulets and charms (llewellyn)
candles: beginners guide to candle magic (forestofwisdom)
crystals: crystal meanings in alphabetical order (crystalearthspirit), cleansing crystals (energymuse), more about crystals (energymuse)
herbs: (groveandgrotto) glossary of herbs and their meanings,
oils: anointing oils and how to use them (artoftheroot),
using forms of divination within the craft (tarot, runes, astrology, etc)
many people, including myself, who practice the craft often use other forms of divination in their craft. here are some forms of divination you could look into (via learnreligions).
since a lot of my rituals involve moon cycles, i use a few apps to track moon phases and the zodiac and house. i also use astrology to see currently planetary aspects, etc. I also use tarot as a tool for rituals as well.
witchcraft and a convo about mental health, blackness and cultural appropriation
one thing that not a lot of people mention on here when talking about the craft (and even sometimes spirituality) is mental health. not everyone has the mental strength to practice witchcraft every single day. and i’m here to tell you that’s okay. lot’s of people say that witchcraft and spirituality is a way of life, and it is. however, sometimes you need a break and/or to not take everything so seriously and enjoy your time indulging in your craft free of restraints and feeling as though you HAVE to do something.
the spiritual and witchcraft community can be extremely toxic, especially if you’re Black. lots of gaslighting about beliefs and overall miseducation towards people who are naive or new to the craft. the community is the greatest and the worst thing, find what helps you and take breaks from it all when you need to.
if you are Black, do not feel as though you need to fit a specific standard or role within witchcraft, by all means, create your own lane. there are sooo many Black people (including myself) who are into and practice spirituality/the occult/witchcraft,, and still, we are a minority. and unfortunately, there is anti Blackness within the community no matter how you flip it.
in recent years, witchcraft has become more mainstream. and with that, cultural appropriation will come into play, and it has. we can talk about the usage of sage, dreamcatchers and other Native American practices and tools; as well as white people being fucking idiots and using voudou/hoodoo when that is NOT something they should ever even think about doing.
i personally, believe that you SHOULD NOT use things that don't belong to you. and this goes especially if you are white, but you shouldn't even pray to and work with deities and spirits that aren’t yours/haven't claimed you/aren’t for you, etc. that shit will get you fucked up, if not by another person, but by the spirit themselves.
finally, a few overall links
Llewellyn.com
witchipedia.com
learnreligions.com
didn't add too much on spirituality and the occult and meditation and all that other stuff. but like i’ve said earlier, i’m more than happy to share my knowledge on whatever and further discuss things -- if there are any questions, of course! safe witching ✨🔮

Uses for Moon Water 🌙
Due to popular demand, I’ve decided to make a post on the uses of moon water!
Add a drop to lunar spell jars based on intent
Add to a bath for cleansing and relaxation
Rinse and cleanse your hair with it in the shower
Purify and use in consumable potions for enhanced psychic abilities, relaxation, protection, or dreamwork
Make a cleansing spray and use in your home
Sprinkle a few drops around the perimeter of your home or bedroom
Use to anoint and cleanse objects such as magickal tools or crystals
Use to anoint yourself before spellwork or divination, or simply to promote peace and relaxation
Use to charge objects with lunar energy
Water your plants with it
Add it to your water cup when painting to promote imaginative thinking
Add a few drops to the washer before washing bedsheets to promote dreaming
Use as a representation of either water, the moon, or both on your altar
Combine with corresponding crystals or herbs for an added boost of energy
Fill a hollow pendant with it and wear it to represent the moon, a particular lunar phase, or one of its associated correspondences (protection, relaxation, enhanced psychic abilities, etc.)
Anoint a charm with moon water and carry it with you for protection, safe travels, or improved memory
Tips & a few words of caution:
Always purify and filter your moon water before consuming
If you plan to add crystals to your moon water, use tumbled stones so they won’t break down in the water (especially if you plan to drink it)
If you do plan to consume your moon water, store it in the fridge to extend it’s shelf life
Don’t water your plants with cold moon water; make sure it’s lukewarm or at room temperature first
If you’re unsure on what kind of intentions correspond to lunar energy, check out the links below
These are just some ideas on how to use moon water, but feel free to get creative!

PLUTO IN HOUSES
- YOUR POWER OF TRANSFORMATION -
People are obsessed with Pluto because Pluto is the planet of obsession and it only acts accordingly. It’s a generational planet, which means that it stays in one sign for approximately 12 -14 years (sometimes longer or a bit shorter) so we should take a look at the house where natal Pluto lives in the birth chart. Wherever your natal Pluto is, that’s where your (secret) obsession lies. It’s important to stress that Pluto’s influence also depends on the aspects it creates with planets or angles and other planets in respective houses.
PLUTO IN THE FIRST HOUSE: Intense attitude. If conjuct Ascendant, native can be perceived as ‘magnetic’ and someone that people are drawn to but can’t pinpoint why. Pluto in 1st can go both ways (much like everything else) - you have the power to destroy yourself completely by your behaviour, or transform and ‘save’ yourself. It’s your call.
PLUTO IN THE SECOND HOUSE: Extreme pleasures. Natives with Pluto in 2nd can indulge excessively in whatever they choose and the things they love, they love with their whole being. Can create obsession with money and material possessions, no matter whether the person is filthy rich or dirt poor. Their relationship with money is everything but simple. If they cling onto material possessions desperately, it can happen that they lose everything and then are forced to take a good look at the other side of the coin that is their being.
PLUTO IN THE THIRD HOUSE: Paranoid mind. Native can always doubt what others think and go deeply into investigation of human behaviour even when there’s no obvious reason for that. They can become extremely difficult to communicate with, due to their constant suspicion. But on the other hand, that intense mental power can be used for insightfulness and if they manage to overcome their fears, their words and deep thoughts can truly have strong and transformative impact on people’s lives.
PLUTO IN THE FOURTH HOUSE: Obsessive privacy. Native has the constant need for introspection and family life might have consisted of secrets and silence when they were children. That can result in them being too closed towards the world, guarding fiercely their privacy, as if there would always be something they need to hide, even if it really there’s not. They might have inner battles with control, which they can not win, since they’re fighting with themselves. The way out is letting people in.
PLUTO IN THE FIFTH HOUSE: Destructive creators. Intensely and obsessively creative, natives can produce a masterpiece and then destroy it in a second because they are never good enough. People with Pluto in fifth can be slaves of passion, demanding transformative and all-consuming relationships and having the same approach to everything in life, which can exhaust people and push them away. If they let their heart lead the way, they can really leave life-changing marks in the lives of others, especially children.
PLUTO IN THE SIXTH HOUSE: Slaves to themselves. Pluto in 6th can create individuals who can literally push themselves to exhaustion in effort of productivity. They can truly move mountains when it comes to their work. The constant need for control, work and stress that comes with it can ruin their health. Since their work ethic is unmatched, the only way to healthy life is for them to know when to stop.
PLUTO IN THE SEVENTH HOUSE: In love with mystery. These people approach every relationship in their life with expectation of true passion and intensity, no matter the type. It goes for love, friendships or partnerships of any kind. They can go to extremes to provide themselves with one, because they are drawn to powerful and mysterious people. They can ruin or transform their partner’s life to the better, depending of how high their awareness is.
PLUTO IN THE EIGHTH HOUSE: Demons of intimacy. They can experience ‘soul damaging’ pain or joy at the same time. When they share their dark secrets with close people, they can be sucked in to the point of feeling lost and not knowing where they are in their heads. If they can conquer their inner demons, they can experience intimacy beyond this world.
PLUTO IN THE NINTH HOUSE: Moral fanatics. Even if they don’t seem like that on the outside, personally they can live by extreme moral codes they impose on themselves. They can obsess about always doing the right thing and suffocate others with their preaching. Sometimes this can be expressed through religious beliefs as well. This power can also be used for greater good, inspiring others to go back to the right track and healing those who feel that they have lost compass in life.
PLUTO IN THE TENTH HOUSE: Extreme ambition. Native can be obsessed with being ‘the game changer’ of society and a powerful figure. If they have no scruples, they can end up being exposed publicly in the worst possible way that can destroy them. They often have a reputation of being mysterious and powerful, and the public can be obsessed with them as well. If they focus on their passion instead of reputation, their achievements can become truly ‘immortal’
PLUTO IN THE ELEVENTH HOUSE: Radical idealists. Native can be obsessed with the desire to bring the changes to the community and their activism can cross boundaries. They can think they are being misunderstood and justify their actions through the mirror of their obsession, becoming in some extreme cases even a danger to society. If they can use their power in a creative way, they can truly make a powerful positive impact on their surroundings and sometimes whole society.
PLUTO IN THE TWELFTH HOUSE: Spiritual karma. They can go through extreme periods of isolation and downright loneliness and feeling of being cut off from the world. Their spiritual power can be so strong that it sometimes manifests as a desire to destroy themselves. If they find a way to charge themselves through their spirituality and create a loving bond with their own source, they can transform humanity through selfless giving. They will always have to ‘charge’ and be alone a lot, which doesn’t mean that they have to be ‘abandoned’ and alone in their mind.

$10-ish (and under) Decks
So I’ve put together a list of tarot and oracle decks that are – mostly – $10 and under on Amazon. A few are over $10, but only by some cents, and nothing is $11 or over. All prices are accurate as of the time I grabbed them, and I’m going off of the main prices listed on the page, so you can probably find some cheaper decks in the used section as well!
I included a few offbeat choices, like a set of blank tarot cards and the Tiny Universal Waite – which is honestly too small to use as a deck, but is great for magic. Be sure to check out each listing for yourself if you’re interested!
Also, the prices are definitely going to change – the English Magic Tarot in particular has fluctuated wildly, as you all may remember. And decks that were priced too high at the time of making this list may go down in price, so it’s always worth checking Amazon just in case! Plus there are definitely a few decks that got left off this list.

How to Predict Timing with Tarot
When performing a Celtic Cross, there are three cards that can reveal when the event will happen: the advice, the outcome, and the card at the bottom of the deck. While your intuition will tell you which is most likely, it is best to acknowledge all three possibilities.
THE MAJOR ARCANA
The Fool – Whenever you are ready
The Magician – It has already begun
The High Priestess – You know exactly when
The Empress – During harvest season
The Emperor – It is almost done
The Hierophant – It is finished
The Lovers – As soon as you make the choice
The Chariot – In just a few moments
Strength – The minute you accept it
The Hermit – Only after you meditate on it
The Wheel of Fortune – During your first or next Saturn return
Justice – When you least expect it
The Hanged Man – When the circumstances change
Death – Whenever it is ready
Temperance – After the storm
The Devil – It is happening right now
The Tower – Soon, unexpectedly and suddenly
The Star – The more you believe, the sooner it will happen
The Moon – It cannot be determined at the moment
The Sun – In the summer or by sunrise
Judgement – Soon and inevitably
The World – In divine timing
THE MINOR ARCANA
THE SUIT OF WANDS
Ace of Wands – One day
Two of Wands – Two days
Three of Wands – Three days
Four of Wands – Four days
Five of Wands – Five days
Six of Wands – Six days
Seven of Wands – Seven days
Eight of Wands – Eight days
Nine of Wands – Nine days
Ten of Wands – Ten days
Page of Wands – As we speak
Knight of Wands – End of November to most of December
Queen of Wands – End of March to most of April
King of Wands – End of July to most of August
