he’s saying that mostly to antagonize whoever it is that’s nearby but also for the fact that he can surely hear whoever is ( probably not very loudly ) breathing -- the tone of his voice reverberating condescending as per his... usual tone with most organics.

“ oh, it’s you, ” the omnic hadn’t personally met the infamous ‘reaper’ before but there’s no mistaking that barn owl, not when they’re both from the mercenary underworld. but, being the first time being in each other’s presences, it’s only then that coda senses something off about the mysterious mercenary.

at least, his nanites detect an...anomaly emanating from this reaper. something’s wrong, terribly wrong, it makes the nanites agitated. in a medical sense, this ‘man’ needs to be fixed, healed, but in a mercenary sense, coda doesn’t give a flying fuck. so he simply adjusts his stance, tilts his head back slightly because he’s just that short. “ you’re about as edgy as i remember reading about you in all those reports and sightings. ”

“ i was here first, now get out of my way, HUMAN, ” it’s a nasty snarl that would be complete with curled lips and a glare if coda had a real face or even working optics but all that the HUMAN woman gets is the blank stare of an immovable face. the claim, of course, is over several...patients he had been kindly hired to take care of -- whoever thought it would be nice for coda to have some help ( from a HUMAN nonetheless ) is going to get a serious ‘talking to’ when his nanites finish up -- if they THINK they’re going to cut his pay after ALL THIS WORK----------
