Gold or silver? Inspired by photographer Dan Burkholders metallic leaf prints, in college I did gold leaf van dykes. I decided to revisit this method trying it out on some old and mildly new photos. These pricey telescopic prescription glasses have been a huge help for me dealing with low vision due to my RP(retinitis pigmentosa). Doesn’t help with lighting issues but at least I can see normal for the most part. Besides it does make me look as if I’m ready to perform a complex surgery of sorts. For black history month I re-present unto you tumblrverse a part of my black history from my grandmothers side. To the left my 5X great grandmother. Born a slave but died a free woman. To the right my 3X great aunt. Born a free woman, 1st of the family to have a formal education going on to become a school teacher. To know your past be it grand, long, and full of makers of history or minuscule and only significant to a small few, you can still gain a world of knowledge of not just about yourself but the time in which they existed and how it not just shape their life but how it shaped the world and changed the world. Black history month is not just black history month it is world history.

I inherited this bronze ashtray from my gran aunt over a decade ago. You can’t see it in the photo but there is text at the bottom of the steps that is near impossible to read. This was my 1st Christmas ornament I got my 1st Christmas a few millenniums ago when I was born. It was given as a gift to my mom for the holidays as a new mother by my God mother. I have never voted since 10th grade. I'm so afraid I actually got a absentee ballot just to vote and as I was filling it out I had my mum read off everything to vote on. Can't take no chances. From president down to the lowest office I voted. All those other "I voted" I got in the pass I never actually voted ever but I did this time #govote

Republican national convention

The RNC by far has been a great comedy show. Keeps me laughing all day. But in all seriousness, lets forget everything they are talking about cause non of it makes any sense and get to the real issue effecting America. When did Ivanka Trump become a democrat and a jew? Or did someone hack her wiki page? I don’t know. Or why won’t the government tell us the truth about area 51? Whats there? These are the questions America wants to know.
